- This is everything you need to know about Pretty Bay Malta, one of the sandy beaches in Malta. If you are planning to visit Malta this summer, and you are wondering how do the beaches look like this is one of the video series i am starting. In this video you can find Pretty Bay in Birzebugga, a sandy beach that us just next to the freeport. The scenery is amazing and this is a worth visiting beach.

I love malta
as someone who as swam in pretty bay multiple times, can confirm it's very nice. Best to go when the wind is blowing out to minimise seaweed and plastic flowing in with the waves. It gets VERY busy during the summer, especially in the morning to noon hours, like sometimes to the point where there is no space to put down your stuff. (that only happened once tho) would recommend if u go swimming in Malta. but also check out the rocky beaches up north, very nice up there too.

Thanks for showing Pretty Bay. I lived in Birzebugia from the age of 10 to16 years so I have a lot of great memories on this beach. It looks very different from what I remember. I moved to Canada in 1977 shortly after my 16th birthday and I've never been back. I enjoy watching your videos as it's the only way I will ever see Malta again.

@@AlexinMalta Money has always been an issue. I had my first child at 18 years so I had never had extra income to play with. I eventually went back to school in my 30s and started making better money but at that point I needed to start saving for a house and for retirement. I'm 62 now and finally bought my house 10 years ago and I'm enjoying retirement. Now I'm on a pension so once again money is tight.

I’ve been to this beach on a few occasions usually in late October and November. Last time I visited there was a lot of debris in the water.
Saying that the water was always clear and you could see lots of small fish so I’m sure it’s not contaminated.
It is a very safe beach for young families to have a great time.
I’m booked to come again in November so I’ll get over there.
Hi Kevin, i have visited this beach over 10 times, only once it was “dirty” so i decided to recommend it, im glad this video helped. In November if we have a good weather you might still be able to swim and tan :)
Being a small island, it's very easy to choose a beach that will be super clean on the day. just visit a beach that has the wind blowing in the opposite direction...especially the day/s b4

Went Monday, 10’ later i changed bay cause in front of me there was a ship working with the black smoke outgoing from the funnel 👎🏿
I have seen that as well. Which bay did you go to ?
I moved from there to San George Bay and in the afternoon Rinella bay …is not nice like Pretty Bay but at least the air in much better with no that terrific black smoke 😕
