Malta is well known for it’s crystal clear seas and the fact it gets more than 300 days of sun a year, but there’s so much more to this wonderful country that is so rich in history, and I’ll help you know how to make the most of your trip there.

Hello so I would love to give my inside perspective on Blue Lagoon especially if you want to visit it! Book a Day Cruise with Hera Cruises! I went with Hera Cruises and also went on a snorkelling trip and got 2 completed different experiences.
With Hera Cruises, you get food and drink provided with your cruise. You get 2 stops along the journey and they have snorkelling gear on ship (though I recommend you bring your own)! When we got docked at Blue Lagoon there is a ladder for you to jump on and off the ship into the water and it is full of fish! The water is clear and amazing.
When we went on a snorkelling trip a few days later well... the boat dropped us off on the island and we set off. The beach is tiny and overcrowded! The water is filled with rubbish and people! The only way to get better conditions is risking it walking down a rocky cliffside. When I did this, I slipped and got injured. It is high risk and not safe. Back on the rubbish, on the island there is lots of pineapples that are rotting and causing a smell... why? Well it is due to people throwing them all over the place after drinking out of them. Blue Lagoon unfortunately is a tourist trap...
If you want a good experience, I recommend a day cruise so you actually get more safety, space and opportunity! Blue Lagoon is still beautiful but it is overpriced and a tourist trap if you don't plan ahead of time and stick to the spots where most people go. Comino, Golden Bay, St Julians, Silema are all much safer and better places to go if you want to snorkel and stay away from the masses of tourist traps!
Thank you man for this video I’m going my first trip ever to Malta 🇲🇹 in July
Nice to hear 🙂 dont forget to visit Gozo. Less people and more rural place
Glad it was helpful! How was your trip?

Cylipsos cave in gozo is cool too. The cart ruts on the island are very interesting. So is the hypogeum that's a must see!!!! Gigantia in gozo also a must see.
Great shouts!
Great video man! Hopefully heading to Malta this summer so this video comes in very handy 👌🏻
Glad you found it useful! You’re gonna love it over there 🙌🏽
Malta is definetely worth visiting! Especially the Island of Gozo.
@@lovemalta Gozo was definitely one of my highlights of visiting Malta! It’s surprising that it’s not spoken about more
Going there this year! Thank you for the info!!!
You’re going to love it! Thanks for watching Leonard
Dear Leonard, you are going to enjoy your stay in Malta for full! Make sure to visit the island of Gozo!
@@lovemalta I agree! Something I’ll be releasing a video of soon too

Love the bread best bread ever
Can’t wait to go back and try the bread again! Definitely will have it freshly made this time though
wow beautiful Malta :) support here
Yes it really is! Thanks for your support 😊
Kinnie is great! On a hot day! Nothing better. Pastizzi is great too! I can't remember the restaurant I ate at. We had rabbit horse and snail. It was probably the best meal I had there. Awesome video bro!
Can definitely agree Kinnie goes down well on a hot day especially! Thanks a lot for watching
Hi lods watching here sending love keep safe always and God bless

Hi hello thank you for sharing this video i feel this with you and i hope someday i will visit in Malta, new friend sending love and support from Philippines.
Hi Orland, thank you very much. I hope that one day you can too - I know you will love it. My wife and I really want to visit Philippines one day as well (I’d love to this year if possible)
Greetings to Philippines from Malta!
💕💕💕
Mary 🇦🇺🙋♀️🙋♀️ very interesting video of beautiful Malta, thanks must say I love the Maltese bread,💕💕🇲🇹💕💕🙋♀️🙋♀️👍👍
Thanks for watching! Oh really? That’s why it’s so important to always try things for yourself - who knows, maybe next time I try Maltese bread I’ll love it too haha 😅
Hehe you are right, Maltese bread is delicious. Have you tasted ftira?
Mary 🇦🇺👍👍 yes I have it’s to die for , best in the world 💕💕🇲🇹💕💕🙋♀️🙋♀️
@@lovemalta ok you’ve both persuaded me, I need to try Maltese bread again! (Maybe freshly made)
Could eat a whole loaf of it with just tomato paste or fresh tomatoes and olive oil. Nothing like freshly baked Maltese bread bought from a local bakery. Crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. My God it's to die for. Fresh ftira is soooooo delicious too 😋😋. The bread they give you in restaurants cannot compare AT ALL believe me. That bread is dry and unpleasant.
Want to go there.....❤❤
You should!
Thank you for providing some great advice on sightseeing. The pizza at Sotto was good but far from the best wood fired pizzas the world can offer. The turamisu was dry and well below average. For a good tiramisu primer, try Happy restaurant in London :)
You’re welcome! I agree about the pizza, but have to say the tiramisu I personally had was absolutely delicious and rivalled those I’ve tried in Florence, Bologna and even Rome. Will give Happy restaurant a try though!
me and my family will be going on Tuesday
Hope you and your family are enjoying!
For a day of peace and tranquillity visit St Anton Gardens. Now open to the public (they were formally the private gardens of the British Governor) free to enter and a world away from the hustle and bustle of tourist life
Wow, I just searched St Anton Gardens and it looks like a beautiful place to visit - great shout John!
Thank u bro, I’ll avoid that rock hard bread 😂😂
By all means give it a try 😂. I’m actually going to try it again next time I visit, because I’ve been told from the right place it’s delicious
I've just got back from Malta and I'd never go again. I thought it was a very run down far too busy place. Valetta on the other hand is a totally different scenario, it was stunning there. I can admit that I'm a bit of a snob but it really was run down. I stayed in St Paul's Bay in the Sea View Hotel.
Ah that’s a real shame to hear, I’m sorry that was your experience! I do think your perception may be based on where you stayed though, as there are so many places in Malta like Valetta and even the island of Gozo that are beautiful places to visit and not too busy to enjoy yourself.
Maybe you’ll change your mind about trying it out again at some point in the future 😊
Did you go to Gozo?
@@MaltaAndGozoIsland I did go to Gozo on a boat trip but only spent an hour there, the part we wen t to was extremely busy and I didn't like that either to be honest.
❤❤
when i was in Malta a few weeks ago, i keep smelling this sweet scent used by men in Valletta. It smelled like citrus and floral, with some hints of musk and leather. most men used this, not sure if it is an aftershave or a perfume. does anyone know what it is?
There’s more exceptional places in Malta like visiting Gozo and in Malta too the likes of wied iz - Zurrieq and Hagar Qim and Zonqor point and more. From a Maltese thanks 🙏 a lot.
Thanks a lot Jose! Yes, as I mentioned with Gozo there’s so many places to visit there that I could probably do a whole video on it. Will definitely check out some of the other places you mentioned too 👍🏽
There are a few inaccuracies here but a good guide no less.
Thanks a lot! What would you say are the inaccuracies? 🙂
Just a few:
Under the Valletta intro, you're actually showing the "Mdina" main gate, not Valletta's.
Comino by now has 1 resident.
The Gozo ferry doesn't depart from Valletta but from Cirkewwa (the northernmost point, facing Comino).
The 'pastizz' filmed is not the traditional form but a modernised rounded imitation. The traditional 'rikotta' pastizz (cheesecake) is a curved diamond shaped while the traditional 'pizelli' (pea cake) is semi-circular. The one you filmed eating is the traditional one 👍
Like I said, minor inaccuracies, because although there's nothing about the prehistoric temples or the Three Cities you've covered what young tourists generally go for.
Well done.
@@gladiatortrainingmalta213 This is great information, thank you! Although one thing I’d say, is I definitely got the ferry from Valletta to Gozo - I’ve never personally been to Cirkewwa
The Valletta ferry (loading at Pietà) had been suspended BUT 😊 it's being reintroduced imminently.
Maltese bread is the best!!
I plan on trying it again when I’m next in Malta - freshly made this time though!
Oh ok!!

Thanks to the author of the channel for this fascinating video! It is interesting to see how people live in other countries! It is very important to know foreign languages on such trips. I would like to recommend to all travelers a practical guide to learning foreign languages by Yuriy Ivantsiv "Polyglot Notes. Practical tips for learning foreign languages". This book contains a lot of useful tips on how to learn a foreign language for tourists, students, entrepreneurs and anyone who needs a foreign language in life. There are a lot of good tips on how to solve problems with the language from beginner to advanced level of language learning. It turns out that the traveler only needs to know a few dialogues and you can easily travel around the world! You don't have to
spend a lot of time to fully learn a foreign language, you just need to learn what you can use when you travel. I wish everyone exciting travels!
Thanks for sharing. Definitely agree it’s so beneficial to learn the language of the place you’re travelling to - it’s something I’d like to do more in future
Hi from Napels. Do you think 3 days trip would be enough ?
3 days is the bare minimum, i just came back from a 4 day trip, id recommend 5 days
Hi, I agree with @ruudneyens2903. I’d say at least 4-5 nights would be best to be able to get a complete enough experience. Of course, if you’re limited then 3 days will still be nice, but more time is ideal
From Reddit!! 🤍
Thanks a lot for watching Seun!
Robinson is about to visit Malta
Who is Robinson?
Hey, what hotel did you stay at?
Hey, it was Holm Hotel & Spa in St Julians. It was a brand new hotel at the time, but seems they’re still going strong!
I loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooove maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaltesers xD
Me too 😁
Best things about Malta/Gozo are the weather and the views. Worst things are the public transport, the abandoned new builds gong to ruin, the constant building works, the beautiful old building going to ruin, the Maltese drivers. Definitely don’t come in high season unless you want to be part of the ‘sheeple masses’ in the towns and on every packed beach (beaches are jam-packed from May).
Absolutely hire a car if you must come here you’ll have not a chance getting on a bus during high season.
Some good tips, thanks for sharing!
What! I don't know where you got bread in Malta but I've never had bad bread while there!
A few people have said this, so I’m definitely looking forward to trying Maltese bread from different places next time I visit!
How much does it cost to go to Gozo? And how can I buy the tickets?
Depends how you’re travelling. Currently under €5 if you’re going by foot and just over €15 by car
🌷❤️😘👌
Well I’m a Malt though I’ve been an Aussie now for well over fifty years.
That was a nice travelogue but you missed so much appearing to concentrate on the beaches and food.
Where’s the cathedral, the fortress, the museums and ‘a highlight’ the very friendly population.
Even if half, slight exaggeration, are my relatives !!…

Thank you for watching and giving some feedback! There’s so many things to like about Malta, that things you mentioned like the fortress and cathedral are on my Valletta video 😁

14 There is baptism when there is a prophet messenger on earth, and the prophet messengers are the manifestation of God, that is why their books are the Word of God. The prophet messenger is God manifested on earth. Amen! There is the Father, Who is, God manifested above us, the son, who is, God manifested in the person of the prophet messenger among us and the Holy Spirit, God as a Spirit in us.[Ed: The congregation says, Amen]. Bear in mind that the Son of God and the son of man, it is like the Kingdom of God and the Kingdom of Heavens. They are two faces of the same thing. For the elect, John 3:16 will always be alive from generation unto generation till He comes. In every generation, God has always sent on earth, a saviour by whom we are to be saved. When Noah was sent on earth, it was as the only son of God! When Moses, Isaiah, Jeremiah, Daniel, Amos… were sent on earth, each of them came in his time as the only-begotten son of God so that whoever believes in them has eternal Life. This is the exact truth!
#ProphetKacouPhilippe
There is only one true living God, and His name is Jesus. What you have said is not true to what the scripture you have quoted (John 3:16) says. No mortal man, including the man you are referring to is God manifested on earth. Only Jesus, the son of God came to this earth to be among us and died on the cross so that our sins could be forgiven. None of those you mentioned by name are God’s only begotten son, and it is through only Jesus Christ, who the scripture speaks of that we should believe in and have eternal life.
Please read the Bible for what the Bible says, rather than twisting the word of God and believing in a false prophet claiming to be god on earth.
God bless you! 🙏🏽❤️
I am too afraid to eat food there

The tirimasu here is not worth it at all. Please avoid it. If this is the best tirimasu you've had, I feel very sorry for you sir.
I’ve had tiramisu in Florence, Bologna and the famous ‘Two Sizes’ in Rome and from my memory it was on par with them. If you didn’t enjoy this one, that’s fine but I know I did 👍🏽
The way he says all the maltese names wrong gets me mad😂
Haha apologies, I try my best to get pronunciation right wherever I go but maybe got a few wrong
@@ShimonMeetsWorlda few? You murdered most of them.
I liked the video. However, he is very pretentious. He almost won my subs
Thank you, I think? 😂
Glad you liked the video at least!
Stopped watching as soon as I heard Gozo pronounced as Gozzo, it is Go Zo. perhaps do more homework next time before visiting our Island!
Apologies! I do try to make sure I pronounce names of places correctly, but don’t always get it right unfortunately. Thanks for watching up until that point 🙏🏽

Grazie. Mi e' gia' stato mandato un cavaliere Hospitaliere di San Giovanni del Bastione di Santa Barbara dal Victoria Gate. Tutto bene e tutto ok. Poi ho controllato me a Malta.
I have 9 days to play with. How many days should I stay in Malta? And is there any other city or country that I should explore near Malta? Let me know. 🥹
9 days is a great amount of time to visit Malta! I personally think St Julian’s and Sliema are great locations to base your stay around, but I’d definitely recommend Valletta and Gozo too. You can check out my videos on both, as well as the ‘Things to Know Before you Go’ video for some more ideas and feel free to shoot me a message if you have anymore questions
@@ShimonMeetsWorld thank you! I was thinking about 4 days in Malta and 4 in Budapest but if there’s too much to do in Malta, then 9 days would be perfect then! I will do more research for sure!!
