I love your last statement. It’s all about being the great outdoors.
One guy tries to catch a whole side by side with one arm while it’s flipping and now we need window nets. Just put both arms out and bench that Honda like a man.
With tech like this, why doesn’t HONDA make a true off road SUV or TRUCK?
Agreed, make a Raptor fighter with a turbo or supercharged V6(Honda doesn't make V8's). Better yet the NSX powertrain...
Have you seen the Honda Rugged Open Air Concept?
Paul Mccallum no. I wish it was more than a concept
@@paulmccallum4229 That based on ridgeline. Still wont compete with raptop and equivalent for hard offroading
@@richfarfugnuven6308 They definitely DO make V8's
SxSBlog recently has footage of rolling a SxS.... while they didn't point it out, or make an issue of it, it clearly shows the driver reaching out with his left hand to "break his fall" and took damage to his hand. Those nets ARE there for a reason folks...
One actually needs to practice where to grab and/or put hands and head in a roll.
Andre's presentations have got to be my favorites, because he always seems so damn excited lol
Good stuff, as always guys
I like that it is very slow, so my wife and kids don’t wreck it as easily. Thanks again Honda.
Truer words have never been spoken.
Great video Andre! Folks we are living in the pinnacle of mechanical advancement and having fun people. We just don't even realize how good we have it in terms of power, performance, handling, etc... In 20 years the earth will be over-populated and regulated while this type of fun will be of the past.
Amazing what you get for the price, try building a trophy truck for 21k. Sidexsides are the closest most people will ever get to owning one.
Did you do any slow speed crawling? Wondering how much the reduced breakover angle hurt it. Thanks for the great content as always Andre!
If you buy a small plane the trails become much smoother. In ten years when these go for 60k we will have options.
I just picked up a Live Valve model and love it, of coarse you have the Can Am, Plolaris and Kawasaki along with the Yamaha i am not a hard rider so speed doesn't matter. What does matter is i speed this kind of money to go have fun not to have fun and change belts when the burn up. Yes i know the Yamaha is shaft driven and a good machine just not a Yamaha fan nothing ageist Yamaha, i have had Honda's all my live started on a 1970 Honda ATC 90 been on Honda's ever since.
I do these trails and my friend has a 72 inches razor I like the trails in Nevada they are fun I would recommend them.
The live valve is totally worth the extra $2000
I have 3 teenagers 2, 6 feet tall boys and a 5 6 girl. So leg room is very important.
I like Andre, and he did a good job. But, as he himself admitted, he is NOT an expert in this genre. I really think you'd have done better to have someone more offroad familiar for this segment.
Nonetheless, as always, thanks for sharing.
Steve
Yeah, I had the same thought. I’m a big fan of the channel, but it was kinda weird to hear him say, in an offroad vehicle review, that one of the negatives is that it can be driven only offroad and that you have to put it on a trailer to take it places. If part of your criteria is whether it can be driven on public highways, then what’s the point of doing a review of sxs’s in the first place? It’s like reviewing a boat, and noting one of its shortcomings is that it can go only on the water.
More competitive with a Maverick Sport 4 seater both naturally aspirated both about 100hp. Though the suspension has less travel, I would still choose the Sport. Now that we have seen these vehicles out in the wild, I think the Sport is a more solid machine.
Also getting a lot of trails and camping spots closed down in Arizona from A-holes. Stay on the trails.
Sad to hear.
& then, the next month they level the desert to build cookie cutter housing developments.
After getting burned by Honda on PWCs , I will have to think hard about this. I am in the market for a 4 place side by side . Advice appreciated.
You all have talking truck and car . I think you all need to do one on side by sides ,atvs an what not. .
Sounded like a scooter when you said "mind boggling speed" and revved it and dumped the clutch LOL.
Big Jon It’ comes with launch control, no dumping the clutch here
Price on these things just keeps going up up up...
So does the technology in them.
@@1guyin10 no tech is needed,
as long as people keep paying the inflated prices they will continue to increase
No tailgate?!
Love the new side by side's of today but there's way to much plastic on them, one wrong move and stuff is going to snap break and bend, they should have light weight aluminum body work like a car. When they replace the plastic body with metal the price won't bother me so much but when it doesn't look like there's 20k of anything there it's a problem.
How do you do a "neutral drop" in the talon?
Launch control, like on a car. Push some buttons, hold a paddle, hold the gas to the floor, release a paddle.... wheel spin! Or something close to that effect.
You hold the brake, press the launch button, let go of the brake, hold down both paddles, accelerator to the floor, let go of the paddles, and boom launch.
Honda all you can do is dip your toe into the market? Where is the innovation and redefinition of the segment? Give us what we yearn for. Reliable and dependable with style and comfort and most important superior style, power, capability in a package that really compete with the current leaders...Polaris and CanAm.
Why will they not sell these in Canada?!?! I want one!
Where in Nevada was this filmed? (I live in Nv and am curious)
“Trees, branches or brushes...”
I have had many sxs’s and I found them boring. Went back to a Atv. Just more involved with a Atv.
ATVs cant go up the steep hills here in southern Missouri. That's why I switched to Sxs's mostly. I do get the 4wheeler out some too.
Jim Mace In Florida everything is flat and deep water. Fun to ride water wheelies threw the deep stuff. SxS you just drive threw it which isn’t much fun. I can see sxs being better for hills
SxS is much faster, they can crawl, they can absolutely demolish a track way faster than any ATV rn. For those facts, i would chose a SxS any day over an ATV. Although i do want a ATV as well cuz they sure are fun to mess around in
Yep, here in the Rocky Mts, we run on and hunt alot of tight, steep nasty trails from 6000ft to 10,000ft elevation. ATVs crawl right up them where the SxS's have a helluva time, especially the CTVs. My 1997 Honda Foreman has 3400 miles, and an hour meter of 550, that means an average speed of 6mph. Most trails we grind up at 2-3 mph. UTVs just hate it.
With a ATV you sit right over the center of gravity offering a much better ride than being thrown back and forth in a SxS. One thing never brought up in the SxS discussion is the driver has a blast, the passenger... not so much. When everyone has their own ATV, everyones having fun.
Another thing to consider out west, the Forest Service closing trails and roads to machines wider than 50".
@@dallanc5199 A 4wheeler cant come close to climbing the hills and obstacles a sxs can. Not even close. The main reason I got my first sxs was because there was whole portions of trails I couldnt access on my 4wheeler because there was no way it could go up the hills. I hate it when we show up for a ride with friends and someone is on a quad. We all know at some point we either have to change our route because they cant make it or they have to go a different route on there own.
Does the talon have powered steering??
I want to convince myself to go for Honda, but I just can't stand Talon's trail motorcycle engine sound.
While I hate the fragility and "Chinese" built style of the Maverick rattling machine, I LOVE the sound of the engine and looks.
Come on Honda, either can your Talon, or buy CAN & AM and build the Maverick X3 with your DCT on it!
Then come and take my money anytime!
I honestly still like the Yamaha better. I own a can am though because of HP and rock crawling capability
They could give it 250hp & still limit it to 75 & I would be fine... After 70mph... Its acceleration out of the hole that matters to me...not the difference between 75 & 100mph... a 75-80mph crash in one of these seems like playing with life anyway for the average amature rider...
Cool video 1 guy riding a 4 seater
Everyone HATES the look of the big ski slope cage that you get with stadium seating. You will never see a custom cage designed like that. Because it's pretty unanimously agreed its hideous. Honda really missed the mark with that.
I don't agree.
@@sirgriffinman Well you're wrong lol🤣🤣🤣
Jim Mace no one is wrong it’s an opinion. There’s no such thing as a wrong opinion.
@@Anthony-pi6pf lol. I m being funny of course. But you're wrong lol
I think it's great looking side by side!
Yeah $21,499 starting price...no thanks.
I don't believe that 100 hp is enough to ride 4 adults with fun
It not
21k is a lot. I feel like I rather buy a used Jeep.
I hear this a lot and it just doesn't make sense, you guys seriously need to get behind the wheel of a modern sport SxS. To put it into perspective I can do 80mph over terrain that a jeep would struggle to do 5mph over without risking serious damage. Out on the tracks I clear 60-80 foot table tops and the landing feels like you just plopped onto a memory foam bed. These machines are in a league of their own and the closest thing most people will get to a trophy truck.
For what they can do they are well worth the price.
@@LiquidFoxDesigns exactly!!!! Well said... let him go buy an 70k jeep that wont even make it to 100k miles
If u aint got a back glass those windshields and doors aint gonna help none with dust itll make a air pocket that constantly sucks dust in guess thats what goggles are for but I prefer to not have dirt in my teeth if i ever talk lol
Yep. True of all of them. If you put a full windshield on it you need a rear windscreen to keep the vortex it creates from sucking all the dust and heat in from the back.
You have to have a deep wallet if you want a Honda
you need as deep a wallet to own a polaris.the honda won't break down like the polaris.even steven.see what i did there?
Yea, because everyone that owns a Polaris has problems. Or maybe you read about 10 people having problems out of the half million of them out there?
@@edwardcote1331 another noon thinking their can am is superior when polaris owners rarely have issues lol
Edward Cote 🤷♂️ having way less power than similarly priced machines means less stress on the drivetrain. If I’m spending money either way I might as well be having fun while I’m out there. I’ll take the “unreliable” Polaris with it’s superior power and suspension thanks
@@jadosa29 lol yaaaa idk why everyone thinks they fall apart as soon as they leave the showroom floor. If that was the case then Polaris would not still be the leading SxS manufacturer in sales numbers.
The price on these talons are extremely overpriced. I’m not to impressed with them overall.
seriously wont don't you like.
This post did not age well. They’ve gone up severely and people are still buying them.
Imagine hitting a deer in one of those vehicles doing 70 + mph...:(
Better have a windshield
Parker *a will
America wants a 3 wheel version that can be registered as a motorcycle and driven to work.
No...they don't.
Um....ya its a no for me dog
It’s called a Can Am.
Hi
my 500 cf motto utv does 68 mph
Once
Trail or gravel road? Any golf cart is capable of running those roads! These off-road machines are made for off-road... smh
Still keep my canam x3. Much better option
Bigger price though too, if money was no issue of go with the x3 but it is and I feel the honda is the best bang for the buck in my case.
Laser focused machine with mind boggling speed? What a shitty misleading review.
Canam much better product.
My raptor 700 IT is faster than this thing! My turbo s too 😝
2nd
5th
Well it’s nit even close on any part lol, I had my demo for a month it broke a rear diff, two axles, the front suspension shattered besides the fact it had no power. Honda is two decades behind just like every ate they make, my Polaris and Can am smokes it and last years when Honda can’t even last a month on the same trails. By the way never take the Honda junk in real trails if water touches the tires it shorts out the entire ecu just like all rubicons did and warranty will nit cover anything,so your out 5,000 extra from the first ride already. It’s total junk
That is BS
ha ha ha .
You're not smart!
A person who calls any of the choices on the market “junk” or “POS” is the real POS.
Each of the companies make great machines. Not perfect - each of them has a lot of positive aspects yet they all have a few drawbacks.

JUNK LIMOUSINE LOL
