    Yes, you have to "listen closely" to hear the amazing woodwinds at all. I'm glad to have this video, but as a clarinetist, I wish it had been shot from the front. Our group is playing this transcription (by Doug McLain--Baton Music) this fall, and I'd like to hear the clarinet section!

    We took a look at Stauffer's arrangement. More a 'best of' than a real transcription of the work. This is note for note from the orchestral version.

    FWI: Frank is spelled Franck. Do you know the name of the transcriber? Excellent transcription!

      Isn't this the Douglas McLain transcription? We played his transcription of the Rachmaninoff Symphonic Dances, and it was also note-complete, and butt-kicking! :-)
