You should’ve primed the gears of the oil pump with grease. That helps the pump suck and pump oil quicker on the first startup. You’re doing a very good job.

The sand seal pulley is made more for baja applications, not really needed for road vehicle. I think that's why they are called sand seal, to keep sand from getting inside your engine.
I like how it looks and has the degrees on it. The price also made sense with what I compared at the time.
Can’t hurt on street application, right?
