MAN! I sure Do appreciate what you're doing and sharing it with us. You have NO idea how relevant these videos are and what it dose for the small studio guys like myself, who enjoys what we do and love to share what The Most High have blessed us with.
Thanks Wendell, I really appreciate those words. I can definitely relate, I love this stuff and it's an honor to be able to provide any useful information.
You can tell hard work pays off. Pro studio just watching this video you get a great vibe from it. I had some tracks I will like to send your way if you don't mind? Also some questions on your pricing for beats.
Glad to see you're working in your dream studio man. I finally built mine a few years ago over the period of about 6 months and I wouldn't change it for anything.
Thanks Joel! That's awesome. There's nothing like building your own and enjoying every aspect of your work space. Did you post a video of your studio? I would like to check it out bro.
Great looking studio room. Not to be a critic but the room isn't psychoacoustically treated, it's acoustically treated. Psychoacoustically would mean that it's based on perception and acoustic treatment is objective and can be measured with apparatus. Aside from that, I love how neat you have everything and your gear choice. The Apollo is fantastic.
Impossible lol. This was my old studio which was valued at 25k. Thank you for watching but you should check out my new studio as well. It's right here ruclips.net/video/3nyhkMdGS6E/видео.html&t=
Hello My Brother I am going through a upgrade and by watching your tour of your studio it does keep me motivated right now. Right now I am in a update mode I call it replaces some needed equipment and adding some equpiment too when I do my studio I will do a tour on youtube and I wanted to see if I can see get to talk to one day about producing some beats or my artist. God Bless you see you soon
Wow, you have a super dope setup! I am currently building a pro solar-powered studio into the back of a box truck. Space is EXTREMELY limited, but I still hope to consistently crank out top quality tracks like you're capable of doing 🤘
How do you get your neumann condenser mic to not pick up external noise? I heard condensers pick up a lot of noise. I have my audio recording gear in my bedroom. Sometimes a dog in the house barks or loud vehicles drive which concern me if I were to use a condenser mic.
I have the polar pattern set to cardioid on my microphones when recording. I have treatment and panels around my room. It's definitely a process setting up your home studio that works properly. Also, try choosing a room for a studio that's away from the street.
Hey Archie! You popped onto my suggestion list randomly! Nice studio.I just got back into recording, I took a break for 20 years. Long story. Basically, Equipment is cheap and plugins are amazing so I'm excited to be back with all this technology I Have an Apollo 8p and love it. People say they are expensive but I have used just the plugins they give to do an awesome mix! So not so expensive when you ad it up. Unison is also great! I've worked on a Neve with 1071 modules via pretty much the same as 1073's and they came from the infamous RCA studios In Nashville. We used to joke about finding Elvis hairs. So I love the UAD 1073. EQ reminds me of that console. They have done a great job.KRK is a great company and I have worked on them at a one studio I worked at in Boston Mass. I have 23 year old Genelec 1030's. They still work and sound great. Besides another pair of speakers, I use Akg 240's to help me mix. They are awesome. AKG has a top brand, I forget what the number is, but I tried them and did not like them. Then got a pair of 240's($79!!) via used to be $200 in the 80's and they sounded just like they did back in the 80's when I was working at some studios. Yeah, I'm old the ones with huge consoles and big 2" tape machines that the tape cost was $150 a reel. In today's prices that would be about $400. We would run at 30ips and you could only fit 4 songs on them, So yes I worked on a Studer A800.Ah the good old days. Thanks for the video!
Hey Archie, Love the studio. I’m surprised you don’t have a mixing board with all that elaborate equipment. Is there a reason why you don’t. When playing live, what type of music do you play? Where can I hear your music?. Do you use the mophat in your recordings? Just curious.i have one also, just collecting dust. God Bless you Brother.
since you got the AKG K240's, I wonder what's your opinion about this: I have K240 MKII's using for years primarily as "listening" reference for mixdowns+mastering, they sound really good to me, actually I like them more than for ex. AKG K702's, recently though, I got Beyerdynamic DT 770 M which are UNCOMPARABLY more closed, being UNCOMPARABLY more suitable for tracking/recording as the leakage (both from inside and from outside) is significantly lower, yet personally even those feel way inferior compared to in-ear Shure SE215 which I've been using for drum recording and live gigs, so regarding the "studio" use, possibly tracking entire bands, should I aim for more closed headphones?
I'm so happy to hear that. I hope you get some free time to start creating soon. Yeah, investment is key but giving back is more import. I am grateful that I can be some inspiration. Thank you so much for commenting.
lol your setup is a dream that i want to achieve, music is my passion ever since i can remember a lot of my friends rap and they know i want to make beats for them but i dont know where to start im probably one of the worst but i plan to change that and i strive for that everyday. Im a senior in high school now and i plan to move back to Florida specifically Daytona beach to attend a audio engendering school their, and my stepdad is a DJ so me and him want to make a setup in the third bedroom obviously i cant afford your set up but it gives me goals and i thank you for that lol
How do you afford all this? Did you start with cheaper stuff and work your way up or would you recommend saving and waiting to afford high end equipment?
Art Of Storytelling Thank you but this is my old studio. It was honestly a fairly large room. If you look at the crane drops shot in the beginning, my mic is over in the corner. In my new studio, I have my mic in a studiobricks booth. Here is a more present video of my studio but it’s not the tour. Which is coming very soon ruclips.net/video/l_9ESA9qfOY/видео.html
Thank you Cornell. It's for my live shows and for when I play live in a live style for the tracks I'm making. The musician vibe, lol. When I get more space, I'm going to have the wall stacked with synth modules, synthesizers and workstations. Thanks for commenting!
Got it! i'm just getting back into my music after a long break, and these vids definitely give me a different perspective on things. Hoping to get acclimated with the high tech end of all this. Great video; appreciate it!
I am looking to record music, what would be the best equipment/ software to purchase? I am willing to spend whatever is necessary to get a high quality sound. Thanks
There are thousands of items out there as far as equipment. It just depends on what are you looking to record and what are you focusing on while recording.
Nice set up...I have one of those workstation desks modded to my needs too. Regarding your mic...are you thinking of picking up the Slate VMS anytime soon to replace the Neumann U87? Any thoughts of the Slate VMS or anything made by Slate? Cheers.
Thanks bro. Well, I'm not a fan of the virtual style mic systems as of yet but I will definitely try it out. As far as replacing my U87, that's impossible, lol. Having multiple mics that physically captures different does something different for different vocals and different instruments. I hope to have 100 different mics in my mic locker one day! Thanks for commenting!
Appreciated the video- wanted to get your recommendation on equipment; Just starting out in music production and getting my home studio set up current equipment I have is (Yamaha keyboard-hs8 monitors-laptop -the focusrite 2i2 interface- and good amount of xlr cables) what would you say would be essential to add far as power conditioner or a mixer with amp with more channel outputs?
What's going on Justin? Thank you. Great setup by the way. Instead of a mixer with an amp for multiple inputs, I would suggest upgrading to a larger interface with more inputs like a Focusrite Saffire Pro 40 . Great pres and converters. My business partner DJ Cuddy who is an on-air dj, mix show coordinator & music director for Hot 104.1 FM has one and we just recorded a verse on it for our recent song on radio. The quality is great. Also you can get a great quality XLR extension but I would just stick to a great interface because they can get a bit pricey. With my experience with small format analog mixers, the channels become very noisy overtime due to dirt and wear/tear. Also, for a power conditioner, I use furman M-8Lx. Had them for 4 years and they are great.
appreciate it... I would definitely look into that and make that move this week .. I'll send a shout out on IG when it's all complete and post a pic of the finished product
This is my old studio. The lights were from amazon. The down side is, they were causing a buzz in my recording so I replaced them with Philips home lighting 2 years ago.
Hi your videos are dope! What u think Should i buy a powerful PC with AT 2020 or i3 notebook with Rode NT-1 for quality home records AKA Travis Scott, Bryson Tyller, Drake type vocals?
Thank you so much. I always tell my audience and clients to invest in the best CPU you can afford. Luckily for us, nowadays a good cpu for recording and production aren't as expensive as they use to be. Pretty much anything with 8GB and i7 processor can handle most recording and production. I hope this helps.
Im not a personal fan of akai (more of an m audio type of guy) but akai has that aethstetic fr. The akai setup you have is beautiful man, be proud of what you got my setups in my profile pic and its nothing compared to yours 😭
Great Video. What Monitor stands are you using for the NS 10's? I want to stack my Nearfields like that but I want to find sturdy stands for NS-10/s and my KRKs. Any help would be much appreciated!!! Thank you sir!!
Great tour! Thank you for making such a great video, I have just started to record and produce music (mainly record and sing though), and this helped me to get an idea about the things that are needed. I hope you won't mind listening to my song if I send it to you if u allow it of course. :)
I'm not really a fan of 10 inch playback monitors because they have excessive low end. Most subwoofers are 10 inches because the are the spec size for production bass. I originally purchased the Rokit 8s for versatility, producing, mixing and they don't take up much space. Thanks for commenting Joshua!
Experimenting with production. There are laws of physics and rules to sound but there isn't any when it comes to creating. One of the biggest lessons I've learned from WELL KNOWN engineers is, "if it sounds good, it is good. No matter how you got it there." Experiment and create! Thanks for commenting Marto!
Hello I am about to buy the Samson CO1 Condenser mic and the Lexicon Alpha Studio USB Audio Interface and Im a dancehall and hip hop artist is that fine for my first studio ?
Yo archie wassup bro. Fiya setup ! Im looking to build mine very soon and buy a few of the pieces you just showed us. But im just a recording artist and i deal with pro tools. So what pieces should i mainly buy. Idc about the price i care about quality. Lmk asap !
Dope studio tour archie !!! i love your setup, i was wondering could you help me (since your a keyboard player) ,i want my renaissance to sit on top of my keyboard just like you did with the same 2 tier stand that's articulate in all ways ... But i can't find them anywhere ... Could tell me what is the reference of the product and where i can cop it please!!! keep on the good work bruh that's inspiring right there!!!
Thank you for watching. That's awesome that you are rocking with the Renaissance as well. It took some improvising. I used this stand but the top tier I aimed them about 30 degrees inwards and I made sure that the MPC was perfectly sitting on top. The MPC is barely big enough but it works. Mine has been fixed in that position for about a year now. www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/ZStd2Tier
Hi, I understand. Acoustic treatment shouldn't be a factor when choosing a microphone. Frequency response, Max SPL and application, should be. Then you go from there. Unfortunately, I've never used a microphone in that price range of great quality. You should probably try to find a used AT2020 at that price or a new AT2020 for $99. Good luck! Thank you for dropping by.
hey bro i've set up a home studio i've got my monitors, audio interface behringer with 4 inputs..and i use fl studio 12 for the recording and i use all my effects on fl..do i need external effects? like compressor or any rack?
Nice bro. I'm glad to see that you have a great setup over there and creating. When it comes to effects it's always good to have a great selections or a versatile selection. Me personally, I like to have different compressors, reverbs & equalizers from different companies because they all sound different with different artists and different types of genres. Have a go to selection but have a little versatility as well.. Thank you for commenting bro.
question for you Archie.. I'm building a home studio but the space has a ton of windows however I'm wanting to build a custom soundproof booth in the same space as the windows. Do you believe this will effect the sound?
That's awesome. Anything in the room will alter the sound in some ways. Just pay attention to direct reflections and standing waves that the glass surface will create. I would direct the sound sources (speakers) away from the windows. Also, the booth that you are constructing will be a great idea with the right specs in a room like that. Good luck with everything Zeta and let me know how everything goes.
thats a nice studio you have setup.its looks nice in that room.i also have a question about home studio.when i record on my beat machine through my studio one program it sounds loud and then i listen to it back in the program and it sounds low.can you help me with this problem thanks.
hi again ! How come aol the planet is going for those apollos black face ? why ? and why you prefer it over the other ones.Cause tou see i m in the process of getting a new interface and i can't seem to make a choice.i 'm tenmpted wirh rhe new apollos but just everybody get them wich for me is not a good enough reason .What s your thoughts ? Can you help me understand what makes thoses apollos the everybody choice. Is it for work purpose our sound ?

Archie Beatz can you answer a question for me? How far away from the wall should my monitors be? I have jbl 305's
mice
Glad to see you're working in your dream studio man. I finally built mine a few years ago over the period of about 6 months and I wouldn't change it for anything.
Thanks Joel! That's awesome. There's nothing like building your own and enjoying every aspect of your work space. Did you post a video of your studio? I would like to check it out bro.
Archie Beatz Some of the music video's I've made are made in my studio, but I don't have an actual tour video.
Your studio is worth more than my family’s net worth 😭
Impossible lol. This was my old studio which was valued at 25k. Thank you for watching but you should check out my new studio as well. It's right here ruclips.net/video/3nyhkMdGS6E/видео.html&t=
Expensive ass setup your mic alone is worth 2,500$
The sound quality and versatility was definitely worth the investment. Thanks for commenting.
my entire set up is less than that :(
CreatedbyLeon if you can afford it fuck it! Get that shit!!!
Archie Beatz you made me spit out my cup of tea
lmao fro real
Great set up

so cool for you to be someone who is accomplished and want to be helpful to the hopefuls. thank you sir.
Thank you. My job is to give the information that was given to me and what I've learn to secure the lifespan of art. I really appreciate the comment!
This is so well done. You know what you're talking about and you make it fun! Thanks!!!
Thanks Justin. Just trying to create brother.
Your studio is amazing, congrats !!!!

I like your setups. Big brother
Thank you. This is the old setup tho.
Outstanding setup, maybe i missed something? Firewire? No thunderbolt with that setup?
Thanks John. The Universal Audio Apollo 8 Quad is Thunderbolt and my Universal Audio Satellite is firewire 800.
Archie Beatz oh missed that heh..
Awesome studio Archie. Thanks for sharing
Thanks Dave, I really appreciate it.
Great studio braddah!
Thanks Divine!
Nice video! I really like how you put the prices in as well.
Thanks Noah. I really appreciate your comment.
damn, you've really invested in your art, that's what's up! I wish I could free up more time to create music, you're an inspiration bro!
I'm so happy to hear that. I hope you get some free time to start creating soon. Yeah, investment is key but giving back is more import. I am grateful that I can be some inspiration. Thank you so much for commenting.

Great studio setup ! Where do you place your mic when recording vocals ? There's not much space where you have it in the video

Sounds awesome. Just hit me up!
Hello there, I have a studio without the spiky foams. I wanted to know if they are very important or not. Also, what can I be using to record songs?

ayee mane that set up wicked sweet. best believe ima get there
Thanks bro.. I feel you man. Good luck with winning fam because you are definitely destined for greatness!
Hi your videos are dope!
What u think
Should i buy a powerful PC with AT 2020 or i3 notebook with Rode NT-1 for quality home records AKA Travis Scott, Bryson Tyller, Drake type vocals?
Thank you so much. I always tell my audience and clients to invest in the best CPU you can afford. Luckily for us, nowadays a good cpu for recording and production aren't as expensive as they use to be. Pretty much anything with 8GB and i7 processor can handle most recording and production. I hope this helps.
Im not a personal fan of akai (more of an m audio type of guy) but akai has that aethstetic fr. The akai setup you have is beautiful man, be proud of what you got my setups in my profile pic and its nothing compared to yours 😭
Great studio! What desk are you using?
Great Set up....
Thank you so much for watching. That would be great, I will definitely give some constructive feedback. email me: archie@archiebeatz.com
awesome set up man
Thanks Troy!
I really would like to know what lights you used for that nice neon purple look
Nice studio bro!
Thank you so much. I really appreciate it.
you should have went with the krk g3 10 same price as your 8's. Sweet set up :)
True,
i use em for mid range here, but i can understand size of room to size of monitors needed,
Hi, nice setup!Basic question: why you put your monitors with tweeter inside?
Experimenting with production. There are laws of physics and rules to sound but there isn't any when it comes to creating. One of the biggest lessons I've learned from WELL KNOWN engineers is, "if it sounds good, it is good. No matter how you got it there." Experiment and create! Thanks for commenting Marto!
Hello I am about to buy the Samson CO1 Condenser mic and the

Mine has been fixed in that position for about a year now. www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/ZStd2Tier
nice, now
where EXACTLY do you live?
Thank you. I live in Atlanta.
What is the name of your lights? I'm interested in lighting.
Which microphone should I use
I don't have any acoustic treatment done
So please suggest me some good microphone
Price Range 70$ to 80$
Hi, I understand.
Thanks SIR For choosing that mic for me..😀😀❤️
Can I see my channel... Please
If you like you can subscribe...
Very nice setup.
Thanks Batman! I really appreciate it!
thanks man appreciate your video...Im thinking about senheiser headphones (hd280)...do you have any experience with them?
I love this bro
hey bro i've set up a home studio i've got my monitors, audio interface behringer with 4 inputs..and i use fl studio 12 for the recording and i use all my effects on fl..do i need external effects? like compressor or any rack?
SAn Dy thank you
Nice vid! Where did you get your lights?
question for you Archie..
Good luck with everything Zeta and let me know how everything goes.
wow I appreciate the response very detailed thank you very much. I'll pass it along...
