- Local recording so only the last 15 minutes again. This is fairly self-explanatory but some more general tips:
Stay calm while hiding behind the crates. Except for the fighters and AT-STs nothing can hit you ever (except for the rare grenade)
When you poke out your head only take a few shots and then get back into cover. The enemies in combination with the fighters and AT-STs can kill you very fast. When the AT-STs are alerted to your presence they will come up to the crates but generally they won't actually hit you. It may look scary but it really isn't. Also after a short while they will walk back again so just wait for them to get away and then shoot them once or twice from a distance. Rinse and repeat. For the fighter waves I recommend killing one of them right at the beginning of the wave to be more safe. If all three of them attack at the same time there might be a situation where you will die no matter what. Pick up all the extra lifes you can find in the earlier waves. One death can cause you to respawn all over the place and with some bad luck one death can result in several more deaths.
Overall doing it like this can take quite a while as you can see. However it does appear to be the most reliable method for now.
After playing this game for a while, that At-St noise sends chills down my spine.

Great video, there is another really good spot at the back of the bunker in one of the side pockets of the blast door. It is out of range of tie fighters and AT-ST's turn their backs to you, just remember to go First Person to get the best angles!

This worked for me for getting both master finished and hard without dying. I experienced some unexpected complications on my hard runs though, it took me 3 tries to do without dying on hard, but the deaths were bullshit.
If there is an AT-ST right near you, hugging the crates and staring at you, DO NOT DESTROY IT HERE. The debris can land on you and kill you (happened on round 12, it was a complete WTF moment). If youre unlucky like me, they may sometimes get stuck right next to you near the crates and wont move. In this case the only thing i could do is quickly run out of my cover, hide behind the tank to the left, and finish the AT-ST with an ion torpedo, then rush back to cover. This is risky, but really your only option because my 2 deaths were both from being crushed under AT-ST debris. You need to watch the shadow troopers also, their 75 damage attack + a grenade or blaster fire is the end of you.
This makes wave 12 the hardest by far, as a shadow trooper shot paired with tie fighter splash damage will make short work of you. You need to pop out of cover for split seconds slowly taking shots at them until they die. You could try waiting until you unlock the personal shield and barrage for your multiplayer hand, this would probably greatly decrease the risk. Lastly, i personally didnt pick up any drop pod items so theyre completely optional. Just dont get greedy, dont pop out of cover with 50 or less health (75 if fighting shadow troopers) and be careful and patient. It took me around 55 minutes. May the force be with you
+TheFunnyHaloGai yeah I had that the AT-ST was on a cliff above peaking below, I shot it with an Ion cannon and destroyed it and the wreckage fell on me and killed me.. !

Thanks for this guide. For the LIFE of me, I could only get to level 12 (un-finished) on Master Level. And I'm thinking HOW THE HELL are you supposed to do the lower difficulty (HARD) but WITHOUT DYING?? I'll definitely look at this video and try your strategy. I agree with others...if you die and respawn you'll be out in the open as this map has only 1 place for cover and that's the hangar. Anything else is outside and exposed. Also agree with the comments about not exposing yourself from you cover if your health is less than 75.
Get the drop pods ONLY when you have 1 enemy left (PREFERABLY a Probe Droid or even believe it or not an AT-ST as they don't try to capture it.
P.S. - I'm playing on PC.
Don't forget the Tie-Fighters. They can't claim it either

Update: I FINALLY finished it, both on Hard and Master, and I did master WITHOUT dying just to see if I could do it. I figured I would still qualify for doing it on a level >= HARD. But it turns out you get an EXTRA achievement for completing any mission on Master level without dying. And to do it on this mission is great satisfaction. Again, thanks to Beliskner999psn for this tip. Starting at level 7 or above I suggest using the strategy of hiding behind the crates. Total time for me was 1hr and a few minutes.

I almost did it on hard by hiding underneath the furthest away shuttle in the hangar, the at-sts cant hit you if you do it right
this place didnt work for me,i got destroyed by the AT ST ,they keep hiting me no mater how well im hiden behind the "boxes"
No matter what I do I just get destroyed on the last wave :(
I dont have time to take 1 Tie fighter out at the start and the AT-STs just kill you so quickly.
Guess I just have to keep trying
Everything hits you anywhere you hide, you can run but you cant hide in this level:-( ive everything nothing works for me, and you need personal shield but it still isn't enough to finish this level:-(

+RandomCanEHdian You can find a guide for the Ackbars Elite trophy/achievement on my channel. It's done on the Hoth map where you can bottleneck the enemies. Only takes about 25 minutes to complete on your own ;)

Tried this twice this morning and died on the stupid tie fighter waves, then when I died and respawned I would lose all my lives from bad spawns, this map would be pretty easy without the ties but with them its horrible.
+jollybrah Yeah the Ties can be a pain at times. What I did in those waves was peak out above the crates at the very beginning and when they came for me I tried to get a quick takedown on one of them. Having only two flying around was enough so they wouldn't do enough damage when they both came by. You still gotta be careful when taking out the infantry and AT-STs though. I tried to only attack them once I saw the Ties wouldn't attack again for another 15-20 seconds or so.
AT-STs keep shooting me through the crates and TIE fighters come in from the left and hit me, but I cannot see or hit them.
+brownmsoe I found a way on a another spot that way is very easy if u need that spot say it :P
I eventually used the spot further on the map, the one that has you hugging the wall, just barely within bounds of map. Took over an hour, but got the medals.

Great vid but really for me it is kind of boring to sit behind boxes the entire time, it's just not my style, I like to confront enemies. But then again were all different. Also, when u have one stupid little enemy left it is not necessary to hide anymore, but what ever it your video
+Mari L If you want to fight the enemy on Master difficulty in the open field be my guest lol. When I tried that I couldn't even get past wave 5 on any map because you just get surrounded fast. I also don't like to hide in a corner and wait but this video is about showcasing the best method to pass this mission in the safest way and not the most exciting one ;)
I appreciate the idea of this strategy but what skill is there in this? I've played this survival and have gotten all the stars without camping in a corner the entire time. Just become more skillful at the game and you won't have to do ridiculous battles like this. Not trolling by the way! I understand how hard and frustrating these can get!

Such poor design if you can only pass it by hiding in a corner. Do the developers even play this crap? Anyway, I appreciate the idea and the help. I've completed many games at their max difficulty, but this, this is just rediculous.
+jagfan101 Well to be fair most modes that are like this (MW3s survival for example) also get pretty ridiculous rather quickly if you don't have a strategy similar to this. It's true though that this game does get really crazy really fast.
This is the most annoying mission.
