@@davidmuller6011 That exposes the unreliability of games media than anything else. Outlaws is a stealth-centric game where the stealth is basic and dated with dumb af AI and insta-fail stealth missions that send you all the way back to the beginning of the mission like it's the early 2000's. That wouldn't be so bad if the stealth was as good, and the AI was as good, as early 2000's stealth games, but neither is the case in Outlaws.
Dragon's Dogma, Cyberpunk 2077, Red Dead Redemption 2, Nier Automata, Stellar Blade, compare Outlaws to any of the above and I can say for certain that Outlaws cannot beat any of those graphically and gameplay wise.
I'm not gonna say that every aspect of Outlaws is bad, because it isn't. But I will say Jedi Survivor feels so much better. I will also say I'm SHOCKED you can't swim in Outlaws, considering it's an open world Ubisoft game. Hopefully this isn't for every body of water in the game, but it might be.
It is the only reason swimming isn’t allowed is for mission purposes you have to upgrade your bike to hover over any deep water to continue the main quest
The whole culture war nonsense around this game is so tiring and boring, there's no "message" to this game, it just has a female protagonist (who isn't as hot as incels want her to be) and who fails throughout the story just as many times as any other character. I wish people criticized this game for being another generic open world Ubi game with stale combat and bad stealth, instead of latching on to tangential non-issues that they wokespotted...
@@bardockshiny I remember the same thing was said when that bald guy visibly frothed at the mouth when he saw pronouns in Starfield. It's not ironic, unfortunately...

While also taking great pains to make the main character, based on a real-life gorgeous woman, hideous. Sounds about right?

@@walkintobrickwallsfordays8756 Open world immersion, perhaps? I'm expecting an open game with water I would want to swim there. Shows the level of dedication the devs had towards this game when in the other Ubi titles you could swim in detailed underwater environments. Not so much in Outlaws.

"Star Wars Outlaws is built on the Snowdrop Engine, delivering cinematic-quality graphics with realistic lighting in an open world. The visual performance is truly impressive. However, the character animations and interactions are quite rough, similar to the issues seen in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora. Both are well-known IPs featuring immersive open worlds, yet the overall game quality is relatively low."
Sum of all parts, Outlaws oozed Star Wars atmosphere and had incredible world building and density - the attention to detail in cities was incredible. For mechanics and combat, Survivor is miles ahead.
What I loved about Survivor's aspect is the open world randomness. I could be wandering around Koboh, and I'd see an AT Walker pitting against goddamn birds! XD Also occasionally when I travel to planets, Greeze, Bode and Merrin get stuck in the A pose for a bit before restoring to their intended animations
Are you kidding me? Seriously wherever I see this game people find literally anything to shit on it. I think it's pretty cool that this little thing is there at all. Someone thought "okay but what if some player tries to shoot at our companion? hmm let's add this tiny line". And I think it's pretty cool. I'm not gonna say this game is great nor terrible because I didn't play it. And I don't know if I ever will cause Star Wars never was my thing
Why are there still doing that infamous trope, you can’t swim.? I always find it extremely annoying ever since I picked up the controller for the first time.
I got survivor on sale back in April and last week I decided to give it a go and OH MY GOD it’s so good. I’m happy I wasn’t trying to play it back when it launched because I can honestly say it’s just amazing. I’ll let them fix Outlaw and might get it next year when it’s done lol
Dude I did the same! Got it in April and played both Fallen Order and Survivor. Soooo fun. Outlaws is fun if you go in with low expectations, but it can’t beat Survivor.
I think Survivor is superior in most respects, but I do admire Outlaws' sand physics, plant physics, speeder mechanics and the ability to fly the ship.
From the standpoint of which game is more polished, Jedi Survivor is superior and it is the best single player Star Wars game I've played to date. But so far, I'm having fun with Outlaws too. Hopefully whatever Star Wars game people are playing, they are having fun with it. DanAllenGaming, you did a great job showcases the differences between the two. Awesome video.
I have to love and appreciate star wars for always creating such great companions. Now that they are disney, I would love to see wall-e as a companion LOL
I like the inside of her ship. Makes more sense for something you'd travel the the galaxy. The Mantis has everyone curled up on benches. Her ship also looks crazy expensive. RV's alone cost a small fortune and can't reach 90 mph
Comparing a lightsaber customization to a blaster (especially when you only have 3 of the coatings?) is not really apples to apples, but even the blaster in survivor had more customization as a secondary weapon. Same thing with climbing and general traversal. Not really the same when comparing how a jedi moves to scoundrel. Though I did appreciate how survivor gave you creative options to get from A to B that were relatively smooth feeling. I was also surprised that jedi survivor didnt really have NPC interaction similar to outlaws. People seemed to make a much bigger fuss about that for outlaws given that survivor had the same shortcoming. Survivor did have a lot more character customization which is nice if you're going to force the player to be a predetermined person. Survivor was really fun. I'm enjoying outlaws too. Outlaws is just giving me more immersive star wars feelings, I cant really for sure say why. Massive made some really cool worlds, even if Tatooine is overused. And the imperial section are pretty awesome. Sabacc has been fun to get into. That being said, Outlaws gives me more immersion breaking glitches, and the AI is unbelievably bad at combat. Outlaws is worth playing once you pick it up on sale.
As someone who finished the game, it IS DEFINITELY! And, one of the best parts beside Turgle is that it doesn't have these ugly ass Spiders! You shouldn't look at any spoilers, because the story is just INSANELY GOOD.

That first swimming clip in Outlaws made me laugh my ass off. That looked terrible. 😂
If you compare Metal Gear Solid 3 2004 to this Star Wars stealth game, MGS3 hits it out of the park.
mgs3 hits probably 90% of all triple a games tho
@bardockshiny You aren't wrong. At least a good amount 90% is a bit generous.
Dragon's Dogma, Cyberpunk 2077, Red Dead Redemption 2, Nier Automata, Stellar Blade, compare Outlaws to any of the above and I can say for certain that Outlaws cannot beat any of those graphically and gameplay wise.
Don't forget Black Myth Wukong
Rdr 2 is miles ahead in detailing and open world
Also can't compare with farcry2 2008.
Nier automata 🧐?
Outlaws beaten by Stellar Blade. Haven't thought of that ngl 😅
Interesting how EA is now seen as not the worst company. Honestly Ubi's business ethics and such are way worse.
You can't swim?
What in the goddamn...?
you can swim certain areas don’t allow it but i have been able to swim
Ah yes, because swimming is a requirement for the game, isn't it.

Are we sure outlaws wasent made by Bethesda?
They just went by Bethesdas play book.🙂
It really looks like the only thing they poured most of their focus into in Star Wars: Outhouse was animal interaction.
Because "feels."
You just had to boast the pink poncho, didn't you? ;-)
Nicely done, toad slayer.
So an independent and strong woman drown to death immediately after touching the water? What kind of message you are sending Ubisoft?
That this whole game is a simulation using AC 1's Animus
The whole culture war nonsense around this game is so tiring and boring, there's no "message" to this game, it just has a female protagonist (who isn't as hot as incels want her to be) and who fails throughout the story just as many times as any other character. I wish people criticized this game for being another generic open world Ubi game with stale combat and bad stealth, instead of latching on to tangential non-issues that they wokespotted...

@@TheMasterMind144 that was irony lol
@@bardockshiny I remember the same thing was said when that bald guy visibly frothed at the mouth when he saw pronouns in Starfield. It's not ironic, unfortunately...
So, what I get from this is... Outlaws does all the useless stuff, like sand tessellation, that gets completely overlooked by 99% of players, while forgetting to make combat, enemy AI, mission design, story, dialogue or the level design anywhere need good.
While also taking great pains to make the main character, based on a real-life gorgeous woman, hideous. Sounds about right?
Yeah right
Ubisoft had a chance at redemption with this starwars game and failed once again but maybe it was because of the rush or because they were totally focused on the new assassin's creed or maybe not.

I understand that they are trying to do something original and different, but let's be honest, 98% of star wars fans are for lightsabers and and force wielding, im sure that if they copy and pasted Kal Kestis in this open world it would be a lot better and they still give him the blaster for range weapon
I would be 100 percent onboard with a Star Wars trooper blasters only type game IF IT PLAYED LIKE GHOST RECON BREAKPOINT! Otherwise yes blasters in a game that doesn’t have addictive shooting mechanics are a bust because no one will use it, I never once used the blaster in survivor mainly because it wasn’t meant to be a shooting game and was below average , you make a game trooper oriented with an over the shoulder breakpoint camera with the same moving and shooting system along with armour and squad mate customization then I’ll litterally play the game for 10 years

Excuse me?
