You missed on acura. The type s is a turbo v6 and the type r is a turbo 4 cylinder. The new acuras also look amazing inside and out. You have to hop in and experience a new tlx or mdx, the only thing there lacking really is power but overall there great.
And the Type S that is a fancier Type R, the Integra, looks SO much better than the Type R that that alone is worth the different badge. It’s also a little faster and nicer to drive on the street, but the design is the main draw for me.
Amazing rankings but I gotta say Porsche is still number one. Their entire lineup is for drivers. Even the Macan has a pretty damn good chassis for an SUV. And ya its expensive but thats why most enthusiasts turn to the Cayman (which is arguably a better platform anyways). Either way Jeep and Tesla at the bottom has this list set in car list hall of fame history.
Youre right, they should be number one...but when you look at the math between honda and porshe, the honda/acura choices have so many opportunities the Porsche wouldnt. I cant tell you how annoying working on my cayman is and the fkin bills when you get it serviced. You sit back and have the porsche dealership replace your brake pads for 800-900* and that's not including oil/fluids service, when the Type R's are only 200-300 w/ a service lol.
Mazda should be way higher IMO. The Miata is one of the few truly great cars ever made, and their 3 and 6 models sit at a nice above-economy-but-not-quite-luxury spot, while also being great to drive. The Cx5 is also one of the most fun to drive and practical SUVs on the market for its price. Mazda still makes fun cars, just hides them in less exciting bodies.
Respectfully calling out biases while making an extremely agreeable list is rare for tier list vids. I commend you. As a MK7 GTI owner, the VW and Audi sections were perfect lmao

2006 Maserati GranSport owner here--I actually love owning my car. It is amazing to drive, steering feel is phenomenal, oversteer-biased balance is outstanding on track, but not unsettling on the road. I drive mine aggressively, and it just asks for more. The main problem is that there are a TON of leased and neglected Maseratis that are maintenance nightmares which destroy the value retention. That said, if you're tired of Porsches, Mercedes, and BMWs and want something that actually prioritizes the driving experience over the technology, get a Maserati. You may hate the infotainment interface, but you'll never want to sell it after driving it. It's addicting. 🤤
@@Fatex199, a few hundred bucks. Tax, fees, registration, and maybe an oil change (which are relatively pricey considering the value of the car). I think Mazda is a little low tbh. Yeah they mostly make SUV's, but alot of them come with a 2.5T and really capable handling along with practicality and price. Along with the new Turbo I6 in the CX-90,love Mazda
I can’t wait till they make that I6 chassis into a performance Sedan. Can you imagine a far more affordable m340i?! Obviously it wouldn’t be as fast as a BMW but if it could deliver a great driving experience at 75% of the price then it would definitely turn some heads.
Brand new jeeps are wayyyy to expensive now. A brand new renegade base model is 40k all in here in Canada. Might as well just buy from an actual luxury brand rather than glorified fiat

Personally i would switch Toyota and Porsche. Porsche is just too niche to put into s tier. Toyota as you said, just like Honda, has a car for pretty much everyone. Other than that i 100% agree with the placement of everything on the list.
Me in my wrx right now, wondering how Mitsubishi is mentioned and even Suziki, but not Subaru 😅. Ive always said Subaru is somehow the black sheep of the car world. Clearly not the best but my god lol Id personally place it C or Low B.

When I got my 2011 Lancer back in 2017 my attainable dream car was any year manual Evo X (I know it’s the black sheep but I like the look and semi-modern tech without being too annoying). Welp nowadays not so much, thanks to Mitsubishi not making any more of them prices are reaching 20k maple syrup dollars. 😂
Honda is just the way to go. I've got an EP3 Si and didn't think I'd enjoy it, but it's about the best thing that's ever happened to me and I'm not letting it go until it cripples and dies, then I'll rebuild it and keep making it mine.
Right? I love that this guy points out reports from 5 years ago for quality. Tesla has greatly improved the last 5 years and they barely have any mechanical/battery issues. The QA on panels and interior still needs work, of course, but you can run them with no issues.
@@MrCDER Idk man, if you google tesla reliability and read few reviews, not many people agree with you. I´m very glad you had positive experience with Tesla, but generaly speaking, everyone rates their reliability as below avarage. One example from 2023: According to Drive Tesla Canada, Consumer Reports issued the Tesla Model S an overall score of 62 out of 100, and a two out of five for predicted reliability, which it considers less reliable than the average new car. Then again, if you like Tesla and it works for you, enjoy!
@Yukimura 1. Do you really trust consumer reports? They ranked BMW and Mini at the top of their list this year and mentioned reliability as the main factor. Lol. 2. If you do trust it, Tesla was ranked at 17 in Consumer Report's rankings for top manufacturers... right in the middle of all manufacturers. So, ranking jeep (which is next to last at 31) ahead in this tier list is laughable.
Make a full video. Brands like *Subaru* were forgotten. Pontiac, Cadillac, and your typical elites- McLaren, Bugatti, Pagani (which has got to be A tier right?) and even your tuned-up companies like AMG, Hennessy, Liberty Walk, Brabus (who have other cars than just G Wagons) and Mansory have got to get an honorable mention no?
growing up being a JDM fanboy and everything that comes with that I have always been into the civics. The dealers (atleast where I’m at) totally soured me on the brand. I tried to get my hands on a new SI and the dealer markups where just absurd. Love the brand, but the groups selling their cars and representing the brand (atleast for now/near future) have taken Honda as an option off of my books.
I'm the same - I cut my teeth on a 1991 civic sedan, still have it rusting away in the driveway... The dealers make me not want one. I got a VW Golf after my 89 accord died, and I haven't looked back. The VW dealers in my area, as a whole, have been far more pleasant to work with. I love my old Hondas, but I've been soured against the new ones.
I'm definitely more of a Honda & Toyota guy (CR-Z and GR Supra are my current cars respectively) but... I also secretly want a Dodge despite having zero reason to own one. The only American car I really want would be a Challenger 😋
Do it. If you can get the Hellcat, totally do it. Otherwise, get the 5.7 if you plan on doing any legit work to it. Can't build the 6.4 much without putting some serious money into just the internals. Plus the 5.7 in stick comes with the Tremec (same they use in the SRT's/Scat) which is a phenomenal transmission, tons of fun, and fixes the main reliability issue you could face with the car, being the multiple displacement system/low RPMs consistency that can lead to camshaft/lifter failure. It's made to be a much more common issue than it really is, but as long as you don't idle it for long periods of time, and don't let the MDS kick on too often, it's pretty much a non issue. There are even kits made to delete the MDS if you were to opt for the automatic options (earlier models being the 5 speed NAG 1, later models being the 8 speed GETRAG). The beauty I found in the product between working with and on them, and ownership myself, is that you can absolutely beat the ever-loving hell out of them. As long as you don't overheat the Hemi and do some recommended maintenance on them, they can be phenomenal. Hell, my first (the R/T) I even took occasional power naps in on my lunches or after work with the car running and didn't have problems. Once again, emphasis.. change the oil every 3000, regardless of type, I'd recommend synthetic in either Pennzoil or Mobil1.. and do the maintenance routinely. Especially pan-drop transmission service on the automatics.
See, I would agree about the Acura segment about why would you get a Type S when you could get a Type R…then I saw the Integra Type S…it looks so clean that that’s reason enough

Honda has unfortunately been slowly falling off which honestly I believe to be due to huge markups. Type R isn't priced at a bad point and it's a great car but everywhere marks them up a shit ton
@jonathanwrx7805 where did I say the type r is bad
I just said markups are killing it lol
@@sharkscanplay2890yea i just bought my first car, and i wouldve got a honda as an everyday commuter but theyre so marked up where i live other commuter cars go for way cheaper.
Standing up and walking away without wiping is absolutely insane
I don’t remember you ranking Subaru or Hyundai, but I might’ve missed it too.
He missed them.
@@otnielmoiseanuHe left them out on purpose.
One could Argue Mitsubishi in F tier... Alex almost had me sold on a Suzuki but then I'm like this guy owns a Ferrari lol
hahaha, cmon!
@AlexMartini I'm also slightly biased but I'll put Lexus with Toyota simply because they still produce a NA V8
Look up the Suzuki Jimny. It’s like you died and went small amazing suv heaven.
7:43 This gotta be the most accurate analogy in the whole video 🤣😭
love these type of vids, keep them up love from hungary
Appreciate the support, thank you so much!
Acura here... absolutely agree lol. Our acura is literally a rebadged honda. But hey, that gives me pride to see Honda at the top.
Honestly shocked you put Honda so high considering everyone buss on me for driving/modifying my 6-6 accord so thank you, you just made my day ❤
*All a civic needs is a turbo and a tune and your bringing down even V10s*
Well, of course I think you're nuts, but I think your list is spot on 😆. Fun video 👍
I like this guy. He’s like the spokesperson for car enthusiasts from the Midwest.
It’s because Honda has the secret sauce in F1.
I love my Evo but I have to kind of agree 😢
I love them but I wish we could get some new Evo's in the marketplace haha
@@AlexMartini. You'd want it to be more specific as an awd sedan and not another hybrid crossover, knowing how Mitsubishi has been lately with the rallyart brand.
Used to own an X. Mitsubishi dropped the ball.. not only discontinuing them, but not going all in either on the Final Edition. If anything, it's worse than the prior year models. The company as a whole makes more than enough money to have continued the model, even as a limited numbers/year thing. Something. That said, the SST transmission was unreliable trash. Should have bought the GSR
Mitsubishi is airconditions company making cars is totally under representing . since ww2 zero fighters are from mistubishi and mitsubishi still making licence copy of f16 fighter for japan and leave alone heavy industry mitusbishi UFJ is one of the 3 largest banks in Japan , Mitsubishi can afford to lose money in cars selling that why they are still here and suzuki have to leave.
@@drsanmyattun for sure. He was just trying to downplay for sure
So where is Kia/Hyundai? Love ‘em or hate ‘em, they are kind of a big player.
Hyundai is not a bad brand at all anymore. I decided to finally give them a shot because I absolutely needed a new vehicle last year. I wound up buying a Santa Cruz to replace my 11th Gen Si, I know wildly different vehicle, but it's all there was available near me. Anyway, I hammer on this thing in sport mode all the time because if the engine is gonna blow I want it to happen in that long AF 10 year warranty period. It's been surprisingly fun to hoon around in the snow with, kinda feels like a beefcake version of my blobeye WRX... except that it doesn't break.
Yea ive had 2 kias and both gave me 0 problems at 90k miles and my new GT at 60k which i beat in sport mode all the time. For the price i love my Kias
Subaru not being mentioned is such top-tier engagement bait. Very clever, nice work, bro.
I do agree as a Chevy guy Chevrolet is kinda boring today literally only thing they have is the new vette which I like that it’s mid-engine but just ain’t my thing
I think in terms of current lineups, this list is totally fair. I gotta say though, some of these brands would stand a lot higher on the list if you include some of their older cars like how Miata owners might also enjoy a Mazdaspeed 3.
Speed 3 are epic. Mitsu evos, the price is 25% above the original msrp for a reason.
Mazda should at least be in B Tier or even A!
They currently build fantastic cars.
Their lineup is part of the best looking cars in today’s automotive industry!
There’s also the Mazda 3 hatch and sedan, not just the Miata. 🙂
Mazda should be higher simply because they refuse to put touch screens in their cars.
Cadillac, Subaru, Hyundai, Alfa Romeo?
I’m glad to own a Honda lol
HONDA BOIS RISE UP!
Same! Got my first Honda like 10 months ago and always look forward to driving it. I understand now why people are loyal to the brand. (Btw I drive an X gen Accord Sport)
13:16 for any type of enthusiast except for drifters and rwd enjoyers 🤣🤣
He’s right. Honda for the win. He really only mentions the civic type R and Si but their other stuff is also amazing. RIP the Fit, the only sub 20k car that hangs with cars twice the price (in the turns).
Honda should have made a Fit Si, definitely a lost opportunity.
5:34 that's an oddly specific analogy, my guy. 😂
ALEX! How are you not going to mention the Mazda 3 turbo hatchback in your analysis of Mazda? Its not just Miata, bro!
Exactly!
Mazda should at least be in B Tier or even A!
They currently build fantastic cars.
Their lineup is part of the best looking cars in today’s automotive industry!
There’s also the Mazda 3 hatch and sedan, not just the Miata.
Rip evo, was Subaru on this list? I don’t think I noticed that one was just assuming it was on the same tier as Mitsubishi
Nah they broke down before they made it to the meeting
Nope, Alex absolutely hates subarus
Lexus and Volvo should switch on your list. Lexus is still producing V8's while currently developing a new hypercar. (LFR)
bruh the entire time i was like “ok subaru now” “ok subaru this time”
Currently own a mkv Supra MT and feel validated. I say holy s*** every time i drive it. Would buy again.
Crazy. I was expecting Toyota as the top. Did not expect Honda although I love Hondas too.
I was disappointed when Mazda made an AWD Mazda 3 turbo, but then only offered it in Auto, it could have been a cool enthusiast AWD starter car, if only they made it in a manual.
I'm a Toyota guy so I'm happy to see them so high. Also have a soft spot for Subaru but due to recent events (thanks Donut lol) I understand them not being on the list (unless I missed it). I miss Suzuki.
what did subaru do? Also everyone knows that Toyota deserves to be high 😂. But I felt that Mazda should’ve been A tier
@@good-tn9sr They didn't do anything themselves. Donut made a Hi-Low series with WRXs and the engines kept blowing so everyone says Subaru sucks now.
Yeah, Subarus are really not that bad. The Outback is good at what it does.
The Donut guys were being idiots with the WRX rebuilds.
I survived a head-on crash at highway speeds in a 10th gen Civic and that's the only argument I'll ever need for the car or the brand.
I think hyundai with there n lineup deserve an s tiers they been making truly amazing cars lately.
Ehhhhh they aren’t bad, but they aren’t great. They don’t really shine in any regard and their only real selling point is price. That said they’re not particularly reliable, not very fast, and not even really that cheap. I don’t hate them but I can’t say they’re “amazing”.
@@ethanarmbruster9155 im not saying they make the best cars. My point is they're trying to make a change. While other companies are moving towards suv's and EV's hyundai is making fun and reliable cars especially for beginner enthusiasts
@@modii6305 not reliable and it is not a good beginner car. A good beginner car is something that is approachable and easy to work on, Hyundai use poorly made Dual clutches, can easily be hot wired and stolen, are poorly welded together with cheap parts. @@postalpancho i don't know about the N cars but i owned several hyundai's and all of them were reliable and cheep to maintain. Also i would just get manual
When the engines don’t pop at 70k miles.
I really enjoyed this video I agreed with everything you said about each brand currently in a 10th gen civic si FBO so the ending put a smile on my face 😄
“Their entire lineup is for drivers” DUH!
@@thestranger1164 thats a fair point. I have a Cayman and I agree. Work on a mid engine horizontally opposed setup can be a PITA sometimes.
As a Dodge guy, yes. I am basically one of those big kids. I wanted to have a car that's comfortable and boisterous at the same time. I love it. :)
Respectfully calling out biases while making an extremely agreeable list is rare for tier list vids. I commend you. As a MK7 GTI owner, the VW and Audi sections were perfect lmao
Yeah. They make a good, comfortable, fun car. I do think they could make their fun models more fun, but they have a good, consistent build quality.
@@jameshaulenbeek5931 Very true, but unfortunately (or fortunately) they have to make something non-enthusiasts would pay money for, and likely why they have had a GTI every year since the 70s. Finding that balance ius a challenge for sure
Was not expecting to see Suzuki on this list 😂
I was expecting them to be forgotten as usual, but hey from my experience they are pretty good, especially the zc32s swift sports
Woah woah woahh mazda is doing great, miata is great but isn't the cx-90 like the most popular suv in the market rn? And the new mazda 3 turbo is good too
2006 Maserati GranSport owner here--I actually love owning my car. 🤤
What would be your average maintenance cost?
@@Fatex199, a few hundred bucks. Tax, fees, registration, and maybe an oil change (which are relatively pricey considering the value of the car). Every once in a while, I'll have to replace a window switch spring or something odd, but it's usually only a couple of bucks since I usually just do it myself.
Great list, great list... Volvo is S tier tho hahahahaha
Toyota then Honda for me coming from a Hellcat owner… love the content 👌🏽
Missed subaru 💔
10:24 Beamer A list made my week 💙
Jeep is deep F tier. Straight trash at what they do 99.9% of the time to be mediocre that .1%
If it ain’t the 4.0 or the SRT stuff it’s garbage.
Alex: Mazda sucks because they only have the Mx-5
Also Alex: Honda is amazing!🤩 lists three trims of the same car lol
Yeah Nissan/Infiniti dropping the ball, its so sad :(. The Q60 getting canned was a big L
I miss the coupe/sedan manuals they used to have.
Didn't even know Suzuki and Mitsubishi still makes car, let alone get on a tier list.
volvo finally getting the respect we deserve.
Only thing I’d change is swapping Toyota for Suzuki.
As an American I would Mercedes in F tier because they helped create the 25 year import law.
I need to know more about this!
Subaru: "Am I a joke to you?"
Subaru is among my favorites. The wrx is a *blast* to drive.

Where's Subaru Alex!?
I’m sending this to all my Honda boys
Personally i would switch Toyota and Porsche. Porsche is just too niche to put into s tier. Toyota as you said, just like Honda, has a car for pretty much everyone. Other than that i 100% agree with the placement of everything on the list.
When you said "I hate to do this....Mitsubishi", I was praying you didn't say my beloved BMW.
Me in my wrx right now, wondering how Mitsubishi is mentioned and even Suziki, but not Subaru 😅. Ive always said Subaru is somehow the black sheep of the car world. Clearly not the best but my god lol
Id personally place it C or Low B.
Same 😆
Me who loves my 1991 Mazda Miata and my 2019 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon. Everyone has their own opinion, but mine is that I love mine and enjoy mine. Good video tho Alex.
Evo X was a colossal disappointment. That’s why it died off.
Fiat over Mazda is wild
VW to😂
Honda is just the way to go. I've got an EP3 Si and didn't think I'd enjoy it, but it's about the best thing that's ever happened to me and I'm not letting it go until it cripples and dies, then I'll rebuild it and keep making it mine.
same, i was always sort of anti honda until i got my DC5 Type S. i have a ton of fun in this thing and im keeping this ole baby until i die
Hondas is cool brand, but I would never get one they are kinda ugly and they sound pretty bad.
3:18 I hate that you're right here...
Gonna disagree with you on the Tesla.
I've owned 2 models S both with over 200k and original battery and drive motor. I've only replaced tire's.
A lot of EV hate is cause they just hate anything non combustion
Stop the cap..
One example from 2023:
According to Drive Tesla Canada, Consumer Reports issued the Tesla Model S an overall score of 62 out of 100, and a two out of five for predicted reliability, which it considers less reliable than the average new car.
Mazda same tier as fiat and Chevy is crazy. Mazda 3’s are made out of indestructible
Where infinity??? Red sport gang
He left Subarus out just to get us riled up. 😂
