Rimworld,
o' Rimworld. Rimworld, developed, published and released by Ludeon Studios in 2018, is one of my favorite games of all time. It's a colony sim where you act as the unseen hand of God for a number of panws. You will tell them what to build, where to put things down, what to make and who to fight.
You've crashlanded on a Rimworld, cut off from all other worlds and you need to figure out a way to either make the planet your home or how to get off it. In this review I try to break down Rimworld both as a game and as a story generator.... to varying levels of success. Stay a while and listen about my experiences on the Rim.

I can't wait until my next Rimworld binge. It's similar to like paradox games where I'll play nothing but for a month but then take a wee break to make it fresh again later
If I had to move to another planet and could only take one game - it would defs be Rimworld. It's difficult to describe - you did well!

It’s the best
The first rescue mission I got was saving my starting pawn's MIL. She had dementia from the start, so she has a designated 'Elders' area she lives within, meaning her dazes do not take her outside our outer walls.
I was very protective of her for a long time... until I realised she is great at melee. Now she goes to war with the rest.
They've gotta fight so the rest may live!

Concerning commitent mode, its not agood idea for a beginner, why? You need to take the opportunity to practice specific situation as mny times as possible, especially combat tactics. If you just die and restart you will always learn less than the tryharder who replayed his battle 99 times. Commitment mode is good after mastering and enjoying the game
It'll always be in my top 10. Infinitely replayable
my top 5 right now is rimworld, hoi4, elden ring, tekken 8 and bloodborne, in no particular order
700 hrs in and ive never beaten the game...i also hope one day it does go the way of prison architect 2 and goes 3d but still simple
my current playthrough is the closest ive ever been to finishing the game on strive to survive randy, but I think he's fallen asleep and I'm getting bored so I might awaken the monolith

@@stormy1055 lol you're a beacon of light to the hopeless like myself. tbh I am ok with it since I use few mods. (most mods seem to make the game easier rather than harder)
@stonedskeletongaming Most of the time, I do a run with randy random losing is a fun 500% threat, increased hostile factions using the vanilla expanded mod, and 4k pawn mod plus I try to find the perfect pawns normally takes me 4 hours pressing random to find the perfect group if it's a bad map eith the wrong stone type I reset so yeah I'm a perfectionist and I suffer because of it.
Basically, shooting myself in the foot
