      One of the weak points of American cars is the front lights and LEDs, like Cadillac, and one of them is the ugly screen of this car, which has a bad shape and is very curved and not square.😢

      I love that engine, it's the same one in my new 2024 Cadillac XT4.
      I upgraded from a 2014 Toyota Highlander to a 2024 Cadillac XT4(the 2024 highlander drove the same and is pretty much the same chasis and interior so it's boring).
      The Cadillac XT4 has no turbo lag that I can feel. Every other car that I test drove had turbo lag, whether short or long...Mercedes GLC300 (least turbo lag), BMW X3 (a little more turbo lag), Porsche Macan S (even more turbo lag), Honda (way too much turbo lag).
      The Cadillac has these features that RUclipsrs miss:
      - lighted logo behind the dashboard
      - pulsating safety seat (most cars only beep)
      - left behind child in the rear seat alert
      - capless fuel tank (like my 2017 Corvette C7 )
      - umbrella storage in the doors (like Rolls Royce)
      - active noise cancellation (like my 2017 Corvette C7 with Bose)
      - power passenger seat with lumbar
      - free 5G hotspot
      - stop/start feature is the smoothest I’ve ever experienced that I don't even notice it.
      My other car is a 2017 Corvette Stingray in stickshift.

    As a CT5-V owner, to answer your initial question on "Is this a surprise bargain against rivals like the 'benz E-class & Beemer?" My short answer is no & it has nothing to do with price. I could've easily purchased one of the rivals, but decided to give the CT5 a fair chance. Going forward, I have only 1 complaint about my CT5-V. The State Of The Art Magnetic Ride Control (an amazing thing) doesn't come with a ride setting as soft & comfortable (even in "Tour" softest mode) as its rivals. It's unquestionably firm combined with run-flat tires. The ride is extremely well controlled & balanced in all situations, but far from Cadillacs of the past. The reason I went with this was the styling (you don't see them coming & going everywhere like the aforementioned), the colors, packaging & wheels. Mine is Rift Metallic (a ceramic white) with bronze alloys & black/white leather. A real head-turner. When all was said & done, the pricing was well below the competition, even fully loaded. My car has been very reliable & I've gotten as much as 35 mpg on highway driving.

      This is how I feel. I have a 2023 CT5-V with Platinum trim. I stuck with the 19s and, yes, run-flats so there's no super-soft option but I LOVE the MRC. Your Rift metallic with bronze rims would be a stunner!

    There's one SPECIFIC nuance of the interior you fail to mention or perhaps even realized or considered while shooting.
    I went recently to test drive a 2025 CT5 Premium Luxury with my wife with the intent of buying it if we liked it. Upon first glance the car didn't look bad at all from the exterior and inside, we both liked what we were seeing.. ...UNTIL.......she wanted to check-out the center cubby storage area. Why? Because she, who usually rides shotgun, keeps a variety of items in the center cubby like nail clippers, nail file, brush, phone or phone cords, change purse, etc. etc. etc. etc.
    She couldn't find the release button so I pressed it. WHAMMMM!
    Up came this MONSTROUS flap sideways and she could barely even see over it, none the less try to access something from the compartment.
    It's BIG and it's LUDICROUS opening that way, unless of course Cadillac figured only ONE person is going to be driving these cars. If that's the case, well, it's just fine.
    BECAUSE OF THAT CHEAP ridiculous lid and how it opens, blocking passenger view and access, the dealer lost a sale of a fully loaded Premium Luxury.
    Even if I talked her into it, I'd be hearing about the insanity of the lid for the life of the car! Anyone with a wife knows EXACTLY what I'm talking about!
    It's just DUMB and it's a shame. Nice car if you're single.
    WAKE UP CADILLAC! It's called COMMON SENSE!

    The CT5 doesn’t compete with the E-class or 5-series, this is a BMW 3-series competitor.
    This is going to trigger a lot of German & Japan fanboys but Cadillac was already putting Audi, Mercedes, Lexus, and BMW on notice with the styling and Art & Science design language on the CTS-V. The pre-refresh 2020 CT5 was another serious step up. Now with this refresh I definitely think the CT5 has the best split personality design. Alpha 2 chassis allows for a GT feel very comfortable because of MRC 4.0 suspension system. The interior material and build quality is on par although MB and BMW take more luxurious approaches but *gm’s* reliability and quality have significantly improved lately and that adds tremendous value. 2025 CT5 is the new sport luxury King. 👑

    This is not worth it, The base price went up by 9k the 2024 ct5 started at 38,349 the now for 2025 its 47,549 thats insane.

      Believe me I get that and I'm with you however a base CT-5 is not worth almost 50k keep in mind if you look at the new Camry which yes is a different class of car however that car was redesigned inside and out it has a whole new hybrid system an entirely new interior and an entirely new exterior top to bottom completely new car and it only went up 2K with the refresh from 2024 to 2025 again yes it doesn't directly with the Cadillac but my point is Cadillac upgrades a grill and a screen and expects another 9k that's insane and a rip off, I would buy it used because it will likely lose half its value in within the first 5 years

    • @lilred1107
      @lilred1107 3 месяца назад +1

      @vincesettineri That's the luxury space for you, I truly believe only the people with deep pockets take on that initial depreciation, because 3 years in you can buy at a bargain. Also remember SuperCruise is now standard which is a top if not the best autonomous system on the market, so you better believe you're gonna have to pay to play.

    • @vincesettineri
      @vincesettineri 3 месяца назад

      @@lilred1107 yeah 100% agreed that is certainly the luxury space these days to your point about super cruise Yes most manufacturers are making base level trims have a lot more features these days so they can drive the price up the F-150 is a great example of that as for me personally I like less technology and less features i drive two Camaros one stock one LE and the other ones a 416 making 900 wheel horsepower both are manual with no options except power windows and that's the way I'm going to stick lol but I agree super cruise is pretty sick

      @@vincesettineriyou are insane. That base price last year of $38,349 did not include half the safety technology or convenience tech that’s now standard on the Premium Luxury for $47k. Then you still have to consider the extensive front end redesign and interior updates, it’s actually a better value compared to the base Luxury where some of this wasn’t even optional.

    GM made a huge mistake when they stopped making the CT6 in America. This new CT5 is nothing more than a rebranded CT6 that they sell in China on a smaller frame. Go to the general motors Chinese website and take a look at the new 2025 CT6 & then come back to this video and tell me I'm wrong. Part for part, screen for screen it's practically a direct rip off. If they were going to be that obvious they might as well have kept selling the CT6 in America! This new CT5 is terrible! It should never have the name Cadillac. It should have been under the Chevy brand as a all new first ever Camaro four door sedan. And if you want to do the larger motor with the performance parts slap the high country logo on the side of it and call it a day

      Although the TLX looks great. When I compared it against my ct5 it didn't hold a candle to the Cadillac. For one it doesn't even have a touch screen 🫤 It had less space. Less available technology like no supercruise option, Rear view camera mirror, massaging seats, And the weirdest thing is that they don't have a heated steering wheel option. You literally have to buy a new steering wheel

The side view gives off a Honda Accord vibe to me. Does not look premium enough. They should have incorporated more of the design elements & proportions from their concept sedans.
