One of the weak points of American cars is the front lights and LEDs, like Cadillac, and one of them is the ugly screen of this car, which has a bad shape and is very curved and not square.😢
I love that engine, it's the same one in my new 2024 Cadillac XT4. I upgraded from a 2014 Toyota Highlander to a 2024 Cadillac XT4(the 2024 highlander drove the same and is pretty much the same chasis and interior so it's boring). The Cadillac XT4 has no turbo lag that I can feel. Every other car that I test drove had turbo lag, whether short or long...Mercedes GLC300 (least turbo lag), BMW X3 (a little more turbo lag), Porsche Macan S (even more turbo lag), Honda (way too much turbo lag). The Cadillac has these features that RUclipsrs miss: - lighted logo behind the dashboard - pulsating safety seat (most cars only beep) - left behind child in the rear seat alert - capless fuel tank (like my 2017 Corvette C7 ) - umbrella storage in the doors (like Rolls Royce) - active noise cancellation (like my 2017 Corvette C7 with Bose) - power passenger seat with lumbar - free 5G hotspot - stop/start feature is the smoothest I’ve ever experienced that I don't even notice it. My other car is a 2017 Corvette Stingray in stickshift.
The CT5 has always been incredibly underrated, but this refresh really knocks it out of the park. As a BMW fanboy, I'd take a CT5 over a current 3 or 5 series *any day.*

As a CT5-V owner, to answer your initial question on "Is this a surprise bargain against rivals like the 'benz E-class & Beemer?" My short answer is no & it has nothing to do with price. I could've easily purchased one of the rivals, but decided to give the CT5 a fair chance. Going forward, I have only 1 complaint about my CT5-V. The State Of The Art Magnetic Ride Control (an amazing thing) doesn't come with a ride setting as soft & comfortable (even in "Tour" softest mode) as its rivals. It's unquestionably firm combined with run-flat tires. The ride is extremely well controlled & balanced in all situations, but far from Cadillacs of the past. The reason I went with this was the styling (you don't see them coming & going everywhere like the aforementioned), the colors, packaging & wheels. Mine is Rift Metallic (a ceramic white) with bronze alloys & black/white leather. A real head-turner. When all was said & done, the pricing was well below the competition, even fully loaded. My car has been very reliable & I've gotten as much as 35 mpg on highway driving.
This is how I feel. I have a 2023 CT5-V with Platinum trim. I stuck with the 19s and, yes, run-flats so there's no super-soft option but I LOVE the MRC. Your Rift metallic with bronze rims would be a stunner!

Honestly once the infotainment screen is on it looks terrible. The colors don't even seamlessly blend together. Then all the wasted space on the android auto. Might just look for a 2024, this infotainment looks nasty. Was really holding out hope.
really the only thing holding Cadillac alive is the escalade, the cadillac cars always remind me of Gm rummaging through the parts bin to make caddy cars, hard blk plastic , not quality material , bland interior no color or style,,,,, weak engines.( except if u go for the v ) and that shows GM can make good cars if they wanted to
GM made a huge mistake when they stopped making the CT6 in America. This new CT5 is nothing more than a rebranded CT6 that they sell in China on a smaller frame. Go to the general motors Chinese website and take a look at the new 2025 CT6 & then come back to this video and tell me I'm wrong. Part for part, screen for screen it's practically a direct rip off. If they were going to be that obvious they might as well have kept selling the CT6 in America! This new CT5 is terrible! It should never have the name Cadillac. It should have been under the Chevy brand as a all new first ever Camaro four door sedan. And if you want to do the larger motor with the performance parts slap the high country logo on the side of it and call it a day
Although the TLX looks great. When I compared it against my ct5 it didn't hold a candle to the Cadillac. For one it doesn't even have a touch screen 🫤 It had less space. Less available technology like no supercruise option, Rear view camera mirror, massaging seats, And the weirdest thing is that they don't have a heated steering wheel option. You literally have to buy a new steering wheel
It seems kind of underwhelming for the price... & I have never liked the exterior look of this car since it was first introduced. That c-pillar area is just horrible. The side view gives off a Honda Accord vibe to me. Does not look premium enough. They should have incorporated more of the design elements & proportions from their concept sedans.
You’re one of those that tried to make the c-pillar an issue. Say less. It’s plenty haters of this model. I would love to know what you think is the better styled and better value in the segment.
I dunno. The screen is nice but something about the interior is still off. Doesn’t scream premium….the way they executed the carbon fiber trim is very early 2000s

Also remember SuperCruise is now standard which is a top if not the best autonomous system on the market, so you better believe you're gonna have to pay to play.
@@lilred1107 yeah 100% agreed that is certainly the luxury space these days to your point about super cruise Yes most manufacturers are making base level trims have a lot more features these days so they can drive the price up the F-150 is a great example of that as for me personally I like less technology and less features i drive two Camaros one stock one LE and the other ones a 416 making 900 wheel horsepower both are manual with no options except power windows and that's the way I'm going to stick lol but I agree super cruise is pretty sick
@@vincesettineriyou are insane. That base price last year of $38,349 did not include half the safety technology or convenience tech that’s now standard on the Premium Luxury for $47k. Then you still have to consider the extensive front end redesign and interior updates, it’s actually a better value compared to the base Luxury where some of this wasn’t even optional.
The front LED headlights still needs to be dragged down , Cadillac needs to fire the designers please
It looks fantastic... but that Base engine is trash. I could tell by your reactions
It's not awful but we would definitely recommend most people going for the V6
??? In China we compare CT5 with 3-series, and C-class is way more expensive than CT5...(of course 2.0T compared with 2.0T)
60k dollars/ 235 horsepower, unacceptable.

V8 please
Cadillac = SUVs nothing less
What about the V series, there pretty nice.
@@michiganman8383 what I said? Cadillac = SUVs nothing else.
@@johnayacko8120 Lol.ok mybad
So the new sport model is the slowest and has the most smallest engine? Cmon on
No heated rear seats. Is it luxury or just pretending?
Cadillac Escalade
Does this car compete with the Camry and Accord?
nope
Lol yes
Honestly once the infotainment screen is on it looks terrible. The colors don't even seamlessly blend together. Then all the wasted space on the android auto. Might just look for a 2024, this infotainment looks nasty. Was really holding out hope.
This infotainment screen looks worlds better then the plain old one, that just looked like a slapped on tablet.
A 2.0 maybe for an 80yr old to drive around in.
This is bob 👉🧍 ever time you like the comment he grows up
Mirrors are weird.
Im glad they kept the climate control seperate
I see a future without Cadillac and Lincoln because of styling, reliability and poor service to customers by the company and the dealers.
The CT5 looks boring. Cadillac concept cars are buetiful, its production cars just look like every other sedan on the road.
really the only thing holding Cadillac alive is the escalade, the cadillac cars always remind me of Gm rummaging through the parts bin to make caddy cars, hard blk plastic , not quality material , bland interior no color or style,,,,, weak engines.( except if u go for the v ) and that shows GM can make good cars if they wanted to
Absolutely delusional. 🙄🥱
And if you want to do the larger motor with the performance parts slap the high country logo on the side of it and call it a day
I don't like the rear end
Still has a manual, alright!!! ❤

The Acura TLX Type-S, is a much better value than this vehicle.
A $25k civic has more rear leg and head room, and also has heated rear seats
It seems kind of underwhelming for the price... & I have never liked the exterior look of this car since it was first introduced. That c-pillar area is just horrible. The side view gives off a Honda Accord vibe to me. Does not look premium enough. They should have incorporated more of the design elements & proportions from their concept sedans.
You’re one of those that tried to make the c-pillar an issue. Say less. It’s plenty haters of this model. I would love to know what you think is the better styled and better value in the segment.
Great car, MEDIOCRE engine... 😴
Entry engine should be a hybrid at very least.
What a clown 🤡
The slander is crazy because all of the competition have a four-cylinder entry level option as well
lol carbon fiber in a 4 cylinder cadillac is just beyond stupid.
I dunno. The screen is nice but something about the interior is still off. Doesn’t scream premium….the way they executed the carbon fiber trim is very early 2000s
Looks like a raccoon. GM ruined the front end of this car. Full stop.
Those lines from the side profile are straight out of the BMW 3 Series G20.
Cadillacs have terrible headroom and a lot of road noise.
It looks worse! Front end looks like a Korean knock off. 🥴 What happened to real American luxury.
Nice rebadged Chevy. And that engine sounds like a lawn mower, smh'. . . get it together GM
Which Chevy? 🤡
@@pawalker147 the bullsh@t 4-door Chevy's. Now you gonna' pretend you don't drive one. . . CLOWN! gotcha'! 😭😭😎🤔✅👍🏼

That being said, I really like this vehicle.
