I enjoyed this review. I know your under a time constraint with post on youtube, but there's soooo much more to this model. Sooo many extra features not mentioned that would take this review time into an hour long segment. Just wanted to let you both know I appreciated the review.
Maybe they'll do that for the next generation since sedan sales overall are dwindling with lower practicality & second row head room compared to most crossovers & SUVs. If they made a Genesis version of the Stinger that would be very interesting
Yes,lots of the famous big company ceo or rich people drive g90. Of course, they do have extra luxury car for the weekend... but they do use g90 for daily vehicle...
You guys do a great job of reviewing a car. I myself love the G80 . If I was in the market for a luxury vehicle that’s the car I would purchase. All the cars in this class are excellent vehicles. With $100,000 dollars you can get a very,very nice car. Again, excellent review of the G80!
I have owned a 2019 Genesis G80 Sport since new. I currently have 85k on the clock. Absolutely flawless. I would buy another one tomorrow. Only downside is the service department at the Genesis dealership. It has a way to go before it reaches Lexus fantastic level of service
I owned a 2018 G80 sport in white. Cost $58k brand new. Superb value. Even with more features, $77k is a bit high and erodes the value proposition vs the competition. A similarly powered E Class starts at $70k. I really want Genesis to succeed as a brand just as an alternative to the Germans. Infiniti fell by the wayside and Lexus is tasteless.
Infiniti fell off because Nissan lost tons of money 💰....and as far as value proposition ...DOESNT MATTER... genesis 2021 an so on VS 2018 and back are two completely different products...the car u have is lesser and thats why at the time they offered a value proposition which didnt work because their sales werent good....the models they have now has direction and purpose and Not generic.... their interior especially exterior rivals the competition NOT Under..... only thing genesis NEEDs is better power train and efficiency...THATS IT
I used to want to get this or the G70 before the GV70 was released, but the GV70 seems like the best blend of the G70 & G80 in dimensions closer to the G70
Look nice? Wait till you drive them and sit inside. Unparalleled to Lexus. LS is good but it's overpriced and I'd rather be in the G90... Best part is these Genesis are actually pretty reliable
Having experienced it in person, this new interior is very impressive. I’ve also driven the new 7 series, and I’d take this interior over that 10 times out of 10. Great mix of modern technology and traditional controls.
I had a 2017 Genesis G80. It looked like an Audi and was definitely a head turner since most people didn’t know what it was. Very comfortable as well. Not a fan personally of the headlights now and the taillights. They look incomplete, like Genesis didn’t know how to think up of creative lights that can use the whole housing space instead of a spacer between two strip lights.
This imo is the best in the segment, when you factor in everything as a whole. The BMW is well…over styled and ugly, the Audi is aging and the Mercedes to me is losing their charm that Genesis has gained and Lexus really needs to redesign the ES. The cabin in this, spectacular. I love the steering wheel design and it looks befitting of the interior. After the GV80, Genesis definitely locked in.
A hybrid version of the G80 will be released at the end of next year. I wish it had been released at the latest early next year, but it's a bit of a bummer.

While Hyundai did not mention it directly, Edmunds and Car & Driver mentioned that the Genesis will be equipped with TMED-2. The engines will start production in the first quarter of 2025. Next-generation JX2 and RG4 programs will be delayed by a year each to be unveiled in 2027 and 2028. If Genesis is to meet the needs of the market, it cannot delay applying the hybrid engines until then.
people who has cars don't talk Sh*t about other luxurious brand even if the car brand's reputation is just MID. The only who yapping on these kind of cars are people who don't even have cars
Really nice car, but it's overstyled now and trying too hard. Looks great, but the last bit of engineering and refinement isn't there vs the Germans. It is now the last Asian sedan standing in this class or RWD cars.
I wish Lexus would bring the GS back with the V6 twin turbo engine they use in the LS. I don't want to buy any of the other unreliable midsize luxury sedans. Lexus would never have non physical climate controls. That's smart engineering.
@@kyron2092 I think we're both right. I notice the temperature adjustment and defrost are still physical, but the rest of the controls are permanently on the lower part of the control screen. SMH
This is not a bad looking car, however they are trying too hard to look like a BMW inside especially the split center console...it is still does not have the history or heritage of Mercedes Benz and BMW ( Ultimate Driving Machine ).
I am Korean. We operate a G80 RG3 facelift in South Korea. Personally, I'm satisfied because it's a better design than the 5 Series and E-Class. No matter how hard I tried to improve and manage.. I can't erase the cheap sensibility of Korean cars..
I agree. I think BMW is the top brand overall too. Mercedes is nice as well. I’m very surprised in how well some of these Genesis vehicles are doing. I’m still not fully convinced on getting them because of the reliability concerns I’ve seen with the transmission and other things. I do feel that Audi, and Lexus should step up their game in terms of technology. Especially the ES and LS. I feel that Lexus has recently lost their way with their products. I understand that not many people are interested in sedans but they should still put their effort in to them.
@@jackz4149 imo the lowest trim of the 5-series should be the 540i, it’s only a few grand more than the 530i but has a lot more power, also imo the M Sport Pkg is a must have option with the new 5-series, it completely transforms the car in a great way
@@CarGeek360 i really like the 540 but if i get a 5 series it’ll be i5 m60, it’s a shame in China they only have the elongated 525 and 530 which are just bad. And yes 5 series must be fully loaded just like any bmw tbh to feel a big difference.

To be honest it’s just red seats to attract attention that’s all, I see nothing special like the e class , even my e class 2016 premium amg line is better looking than this !!!
