I've noticed in some episodes of the series Larry sounds like he has a cold, you can notice it in this video when he is talking to the cop on the phone.
Rocky Racoon acting like stoner buffoon. He probably had too much vodka cuz that can cause cardiac arrest. Especially jumping all all around like a kangaroo. The old boy got drunk on there several times.
I think Clayton was a bit overenthusiastic about Punk, lol. But to the commenters who said he doesn't really know him, I think it is established when Clayton Farlow first shows up that Punk did know him already through business dealings. It was a way to establish the character's credibility as an oil man. Give Punk and Mavis a break, they were allowed to associate with people other than Jock and Miss Ellie, lol.

JR bkackmailed Laurel Ellis. It eas either he banged her or Clayton went to jail for murder. JR found out who the real killer was and unless JR got what he wanted, he walked.
No wonder Clayton has a heart attack here. Why the hell is he so wound up about Punk getting the award? He's practically jumping out of his skin. Sheesh.
