I’m a kaizo Mario and another romhacks veteran player. This last level of the marathon was infuriating. It’s all muscle memory, but the last section while invisible was the bane of my existence.
For the final final test badge marathon level, go online and spam emotes to see your character in the invisibility section. Keep in mind that you can only emote when nothing else is being pressed.
If you have 2 players locally, p1 should have a crown that is always hovering as well. Personally though, when soloing i try to picture where i am without emotes. Just remember your about 40-45% of the way off the left edge of the screen.
That ending is so relatable. I got the tops of flag poles in every level on my first try until that last one. I was so mad. So I suffered through that freaking level a second time, only to miss it again. I got it on the third try
Same thing for me. Every level on my first try, I get the flag poles. But when im about to finish, I only got "Incredible". Had to endure the pain 2nd time around. 😂
Honestly, I didn't find Climb to the Beat all that bad. I had more trouble with the original Jump Jump Jump! Additionally, I had that exact moment with Final Final. When I came back, I came back with a second player present; that crown above my head was a _lifesaver._
Special tip from me personally on the ''Climb to the Beat'' level - the Elephant power-up works really well and it makes the final wall-jumps off the tiny blocks much easier! When you go here, be sure to bring it.
If you think these levels are too easy, go beat Climb to the Beat (with all three purple 10 coins) with the Spring Feet badge. I’ve spent so many attempts on this Edit: I finally beat it with all purple 10 coins as Yoshi, gonna try with a normal character Another Edit: I DID IT WITH TOADETTE
But not the final final test I 🤬 HATE THAT LEVEL THE FINAL FINAL TEST IT TOOK ME FOREVER TO COMPLETE UNTIL I HAD ONLINE HELP and I finally finished it I hate that lvl
I actually remember accidentally finding a way to cheese a good chunk of the wonder marathon. Use the drill cap. On the first section with the pipe, you can just duck in the very front, and the birds will bounce off of your cap, youd also probably be able to break through those crystals durring the hoppy cat bit, and for the detkness parts, you can literally just drill through the ground and cheese both parts without hassle
alternatively, just spamming elephant trunk would easily get you through the first section, simply moving fast gets you though the hoopcat bit before they can even prep to jump, and again elephant mario can just smack the sproings and sugarbits.

I actually 100 percented this game. The secret world was the hardest, but I HATED the special world “Jump to the beat” version. I lost the most amount of lives in that one. Have you gotten all 6 medals yet?
I completely agree, except for the W6 and W4 Special levels. I could not agree more on the last two. Climb to the Beat was INSANITY, and that was the first special level I played. Ngl, after that the rest of them seemed easy. The Final-Final Test: Badge Marathon was definitely #1
I think that the goomba level and the final test one are harder than the rolling armadillo one since the goomba is slow and is precise jumps and at any moment you could die, and the final test if you die you go to the start and also it’s very tricky because of the fast movement and the right space but that’s just my opinion. Great video!
The only way I managed to beat the last invisivility challenge (particularly jumping on the ballon fish), was by spamming X on a auto-turbo button, so that the smiley appears and I could track Mario's position. Without that I don't think I'd have achieved it in a humanely responsible amount of time.
Here’s a little help for the invisibility part on badge marathon, spin jump all the way you have more time to see where your character is from the little cyclone animation.
I beat Badge Marathon with Blue Yoshi after trying a few times with Mario because it's JUST TOO HARD!! Using a Yoshi didn't make it much easier, but I was able to flutter jump to the top of the flagpole while I was invisible. So I didn't really have to worry about missing it.
I honestly think that the climb to the beat where you have to wall jump to the top is over rated (too me at least) a lot of people say its one of the hardest ones I think its pretty easy at least once you get used to it.
I literally came to this video to see where "Climb to the Beat" was ranked as I've almost thrown my controller through the TV multiple times. PRO TIP: use the fast dash badge. It will help you make up previous time before you get to the final section. After I tried it out, I beat it within 3 tries.
The issue with fast dash is that sometimes you move just a little too fast which can also mess with timing. but yes, if you can't move fast enough, fast dash does help.
IMO it's best to do this without badges, most of them just mess up your timing. Maybe start with the badge that makes Mario big, so your hitbox is larger on the wall jumps. I tried maybe 50 times with the floating jump badge because it really helps your stay ahead in the beginning, but it was hampering my ability to wall jump fast enough up top. Took it off and beat it in like 3 tries.
Well I've got three levels left, and the Special Climb to the Beat level is my current roadblock. It is very hard for me to hold down Y the whole time while jumping. If only Nintendo let you remap the buttons in a reasonable manner😬 So far, none of the other levels have caused me any major issues though.
I found "Jump, Jump, Jump!", "Climb to the beat", "Way of the Goomba" and "Pole Block Allure" to be tame compared to the other 5 star levels. "Triple Thread Deluge" on the other hand was a nightmare for me, I kept dying to random spike balls while trying to collect the big purple coins. Also I completely agree on the mid-air spin section being by far the easiest in the badge marathon, the timing is generous and easy to figure out
@@MichaeleL3 I used to play piano, but since I'm not usually very good at rythm games I don't think it really helped me. I probably got good at this kind of levels thanks to smm2
7:12 I felt like I was bad at the game when it took me 20 or so tries to get everything in this level, glad to know I’m not bad, the level is just super hard
You can be AFK in the first part of the Magma Tube as long as you have the drill. Giving that you unlock this level after Search Party: Item Park, you have plenty of those.
Loved this!! Great content! I’ll never get there, I really can’t even do three star levels without help (I’m old… sigh… reflexes aren’t what they used to be!). That said, I’m loving watching others. Do you have a play through of the entire game? I watched someone play through the entire game before and despite being really really good, he lost at least 70 lives on that final “want to throw your controller…” level! They certainly made it difficult! As I said, though, super fun to watch and so creative!
Here's the trick for Jump Jump Jump That 5th block[light blue] is loaded in at the start, allowing you a slightly slower calmer path, where it doesn't speed up at the same rate, giving you more time to reach the end.
Mario is for babies? Yeah, sure it is. I'm 49 years old, I spent my whole life playing games like this. I haven't even finished tropical freeze, and that's an extremely tough game. These Games are no joke, lol, they really aren't. But thanks for the vid, as I've been thinking about picking this up. And just like Kirby's return to Dreamland, this game is also a masterpiece of game design.
The final secret world was crazy easy. I was hoping for a star road, but we got a highlight reel of past levels. I also wish that they had another wold where access to levels were determined by how many TOTAL seeds you've collected across all wolds Ala 3d land.
Spent weeks trying to do jump to the beat. Finished it today 4 times straight within 15 minutes 🙄🙄🙄🙄 It really is one of those levels where everything has to be perfect but once you get down the pattern it really eases up.
I had much more trouble in Bounce Bounce Bounce than Triple Threat Deluge tbh. It only took me like 2 to 3 tries on Triple Threat Deluge, meanwhile I was stuck on Bounce Bounce Bounce for almost an hour
Pro tip, play the badge nighmare fest at night. Your chances of getting a party of hardcore asians is way higher. Got lucky and all 3 randoms were in sync so we passed all as a team. And on the invis a standee at the end of the ballon section saved our asses.
Playing 2 player mode, it gives the lead player a crown above his head. When equipped with the invisibility badge, your chacter dissapears. But the crown stays there.
As a mini ranking inside a ranking, here’s my thoughts on the Final Final test segments from easiest to hardest. 10: Jet Run 9: Midair Spin 8: Floating Jump 7: Parachute Cap 6: Crouch Jump 5: Wall Climb 4: Dolphin Kick 3: Grappling Vine 2: Spring Fleet 1: THE INVISIBLE PART IS PAINFUL OMG
Yeah, that Final Final was a doozy. I ended up clearing it successfully...but NOT with a top of the flagpole clear, which OF COURSE is a thing to 100% this game for some reason. I got so fed up with it I easy moded as Yoshi just to go back and hit that. Then I felt like a chump because I didn't do it legit so I went back and did it with Mario...by holding a Bubble Flower in reserve for the entire level, to fire off at the top of the staircase, just to creat a few bubbles to jump off of one of and make SURE I didn't do anything stupid. ...then I went back into the level to play it again to leave a standee right before the hard part of the invisible section. Ended up doing the exact same thing to hit the top of the flagpole then too. But I'm at a true 100% now.
I know I'm late to watching this, but I didn't want to watch anything Mario wonder related until I cleared it 100%, and I just want to say that it was very satisfying beating these levels. (Some of them I even one shotted)
I admit I had to use Yoshi on the Final-Final Test level. The spring jump between the fire bars was just too much. And Yoshi can still get knocked back and fall into the pit, so it’s not like you can just breeze through that section with him.
What I want to know is why the Goomba is so bad at jumping in this game when the first two Paper Mario games showed Goombas as able to outjump Mario, and the jump Mario could get from possessing a Goomba in Super Mario Odyssey was at least passable. Super Mario Bros. 3 even showed little Goombas as able to outjump Mario as long as they hid in a brick! D:
I found climb to the beat to be easier than almost all of the other 5 star levels (only harder than piranha plant reprise, the hoppo one, and the final bowser fight)
When I went back for the flagpole on the magma one I rushed though it using the buzzy beetles as stepping stones. Turns out they are place just right to do so 😅
i dont need tips for that level, i need friends, i salute the blue yoshi who waited for me in every section, when i died he died together, and helped me respawn near him if i couldnt reach a place and we kept placing panels, gg, and he had 6 medals, which means he was there to help me, not to beat it, or just wanted to rebeat anyways but yes, now i just need my collection of panels i didnt finish yet.... btw a laughing emoji replaced with the music one would be good if you have an enemy player that youre trying to make fun of because he died, sorry for this essay.
This was a challenging game! It's one of the best in my opinion but I've sent my soul to hell playing it. I've never cussed so much playing a game. I actually went back over the weekend and tried to finish getting all the coins in the special world. That bounce one made me crazy. I hadn't played in a while and I forgot how hard it was.
I got ALL big coins, ALL wonder seeds, ALL tops of flagpoles, and ALL medals. My playthrough was fun! My hardest level was The Final Final Test, Badge Marathon. It took me SO many attempts. Oh, my goodness! So hard! I managed to beat it with all flower coins, the top of the flagpole, and the Wonder Seed.
Number 2 was indeed very brutal but after dying at least 59 times I did complete it. My advice use the Fast Dash badge as it can help if you know what you are doing.
10:07 I use a sensor batch to get all of the levels completed except for the final final test I collected all seeds every flagpole into the top 10 purple coins except for the final final test. I collect it all the coins and then I jumped off and then I got to the very top and then I got a wonder seat and then I went to wonder? And then this time I ranked this one
Some advice for number 2 and 7 Just use a blue badge that doesn’t change the way Mario jumps Believe it or not, these levels are easy if Mario gets enough momentum while utilizing the mid air spin as he falls, but all of the platforming badges give him an extra tool in his kit but utilizing these tools slow Mario down. While this doesn’t matter in any other level. It does here. So just do some classic Mario Maker style platforming with no badge tricks and its easy
Honestly, I Beat all of them, Yes i am pro, Yes it costed like 100 One Ups For me but i still did them :) Also the final final test marathon? Show me where it is
I need to beat this game with online disabled. Online makes a lot of the challenge trivial when the other people can revive you with standees and just touching them.
its ez with the drill. for the 1st wonder u can stay behind the pipe and crouch til' the pipes fall, you can then run 'n' jump on the slow platforms, burrow in the ceiling and floor in the hoppycat, sproing, walking platform, and rift section P.S for speedrun measures, u can run in the seed and burrow beneath the stairs
What are the hardest levels for you?

I spam bubbles and in the darkness part I make them walk to the other side with bubbles and I bring a drill just in case cuz drill is kind of op

I admit I had to use Yoshi on the Final-Final Test level. The spring jump between the fire bars was just too much. And Yoshi can still get knocked back and fall into the pit, so it’s not like you can just breeze through that section with him.
why is fluff fluff peaks so brutal?
My headcannon is that the guy responsible for programming the wall jumps didn't think he got paid enough
@@arcitatiousWall jumps work fine but you have to hold into the wall. Once I realised that I didn't miss any
4:01 if u miss a block and fall, it’ll bring u to an unusual place…
What I want to know is why the Goomba is so bad at jumping in this game when the first two Paper Mario games showed Goombas as able to outjump Mario, and the jump Mario could get from possessing a Goomba in Super Mario Odyssey was at least passable. Super Mario Bros. 3 even showed little Goombas as able to outjump Mario as long as they hid in a brick! D:
I found climb to the beat to be easier than almost all of the other 5 star levels (only harder than piranha plant reprise, the hoppo one, and the final bowser fight)
Final final is the hardest by far, the only one that comes close to its difficulty is the “final”/wonder one
Its Amazing That It's Out
4:23 blud is t posing
I actually completed Climb To The Beat on my first try. I guess my Super Mario Maker 2 speedrunning instincts kicked in.
1:37 lol just grab a shell and throw it at the coin
I actually didn't have any trouble with Dangerous Donut Ride. Only died once during it.
I just finished the ‘nightmare’ level of jumping on the beat. And it’s pretty early on in the game too. I thought I was stuck. 😖
But I did it! 😍
I'm just glad I'm not the only one to mess up that final jump in the invisible challenge
I missed😅 (after around 2 1/2 hours)but luckily I got back to the flag pole after like 10 minutes
"Eating" the seeds sounds weird as hell.
I just 100%game and I am so happy.
One time, I managed to complete the final-final test badge marathon without dying.
Lmao that last part got me.
Number 2 was indeed very brutal but after dying at least 59 times I did complete it. My advice use the Fast Dash badge as it can help if you know what you are doing.
timmy is just accomplished, he beat every level
10:07 I use a sensor batch to get all of the levels completed except for the final final test I collected all seeds every flagpole into the top 10 purple coins except for the final final test. I collect it all the coins and then I jumped off and then I got to the very top and then I got a wonder seat and then I went to wonder? And then this time I ranked this one
Way of the Gumba had me raging. I don't have all the special worlds unlocked yet. Seeing these have me scared!🙈🙉🙊
Some advice for number 2 and 7
Just use a blue badge that doesn’t change the way Mario jumps
Believe it or not, these levels are easy if Mario gets enough momentum while utilizing the mid air spin as he falls, but all of the platforming badges give him an extra tool in his kit but utilizing these tools slow Mario down. While this doesn’t matter in any other level. It does here. So just do some classic Mario Maker style platforming with no badge tricks and its easy
I’m glad Climb to the Beat is number 2, cause I just got there and it was pretty tough but not impossible.
great video
I actually didn't hit the top of the pole on my first time playing the badge marathon after 99+ tries but I still did it again and got it!
10:02 yeah no I made SURE that wasn't me. waited for the triangle to be at the right angle and everything.
Honestly, I Beat all of them, Yes i am pro, Yes it costed like 100 One Ups For me but i still did them :) Also the final final test marathon? Show me where it is
No one can fault you for using Yoshi in these levels.
I need to beat this game with online disabled. Online makes a lot of the challenge trivial when the other people can revive you with standees and just touching them.
Elephant toad loves Goomba Mario.
Congrats arrowstole, you prove Timmy Thompson wrong
I feel like mario wonder really did turn up the heat for mario games. The previous mario games were much easier, but this ine is HARD.
For me, the fluff peaks special is one of my favorites and is pretty easy for me.
Same
i did it with the speed badge on lol
Jump! Jump! Jump! becomes much easier when you turn on the extra blocks badge. Most 2 block platforms turn into 4 block platforms
I just spent like 60 lives on Jump to the Beat, messed up the flagpole, then did it perfectly on the next try
its ez with the drill. for the 1st wonder u can stay behind the pipe and crouch til' the pipes fall, you can then run 'n' jump on the slow platforms, burrow in the ceiling and floor in the hoppycat, sproing, walking platform, and rift section
P.S for speedrun measures, u can run in the seed and burrow beneath the stairs
