Although I wouldn’t say that Mario odyssey is not great because of its bosses, some of them are pretty good. What made Odyssey the masterpiece that it is was its smooth movement.
I can understand why you might love odyssey’s bosses so much. Granted, some of them were really cool. In my opinion, its bosses were quite weak in comparison to many other games. Idk if you have played these games, although bosses from that of Hollow knight, Elden Ring, Cuphead, Undertale, Inscription, Shadows of the Colossus, and Sea of Stars have such deep atmospheric, and gameplay driven elements that Odyssey feels like a joke. Don’t get me wrong, Odyssey is my favorite 3d platformer. It is just that it’s Bosses are not its highlight.
What makes already an even worse boss fight is you don’t need to wait for him to throw up you can just throw cappy at him immediately and he’ll lose his hat and then you jump on him and you can do this 3 times easily
The coolest part of the Broodals fights was that there was multiple ways to tackle them (except Madame Broode). So while they were mostly easy, at least they had variety so they weren't mindless like Torkdrift. Their rematches also added a good amount of variety too.
I honestly can agree with pretty much everything ranking on this list. The only thing I think differently is Bowser's spot on the list. I feel like he should be #1 and Robobrood #2, mainly because I personally enjoyed the Bowser fights more than Robobrood. That's just my opinion, though. Regardless, great video. 👍
the lighting dragon is my personal favorite in the game. Hes tricky, but an amazing time based Mario boss. He also looks just like Midir from dark souls 3
Fun fact: When harriet is flying in her hat and dropping bombs, you can throw cappy at the bombs and it immediately puts her back on the ground, resetting the cycle for a quicker fight
you can cheese the harriet fight too, just spam cappy at her until she is backed against a wall then afterwards any bomb she throws at you you can instantly reflect at her with cappy

Harriet is SO pathetic and easy. It’s so easy to deflect her bombs back at her, so much that I barely need to do anything. I found her easier than even Spewart. Topper really is difficult to take down, all of his hats can be difficult to avoid.
How is Harriet pathetic if you throw cappy at Stewart and immediately jump on him he can’t attack you, and topper being really difficult seems like your reaching hard

My two favorite bosses are the lighting dragon and necletech(? The stone face guy) I think the dragon has a slight advantage because 1, I love his design, and 2, I love the attacks he does. The reason the stone face guy is so high for me, is because his rematch is so hard to beat. Its just insanely difficult. I also love his design. Bowser is pretty good as well. As a speedrunner of this game, they all suck (Mecha broodal is the best though since it actually has some cool shit you can do. Mecha wiggler is also cool now because now the Speedrun clips out of bounds during the invincible phase to get a moon which saves 9 seconds)
@@M0r1tz240 yeah I mean they're better than the average videogame but I honestly think boss fights in general just aren't very good in most videogames I don't like when games make you just sit there and have to survive easy attacks, it's more fun if the boss fight has you running away from something or trying to reach the end of something like the escape sequence in Odyssey is cool since you aren't being locked to a contained area for a specific amount of time
When I played this game I was pretty young and this was my first purchase that was more expensive than 10 dollars and it was awesome And the dragon was like the most unexpected thing ever you fight some stupid cartoony chicken and then you suddenly fight a Thunder Dragon straight out of Elden Ring
Torkdrift is easily the worst one because it's pretty objectively the most mindless one to do. And all the rematch does is make you slightly reposition where to do your jumps to not get hit.
I swear as a pro Super Mario Odyssey player, The Brudals Bosses are an ABSOLUTE JOKE. Even including the Robo-Brude. They are SO EASY that I classify them as normal enemies.

I think that if you knew the fast strats for the broodals fights you would have placed them a bit higher
In case you don't know:
You can skip all of the broodals' "invulnerable" phase by hitting their hats
Harriet's the only good broodal fight because of Tsar Bomba, the rest are still pretty lame because they're just too easy and quick
