I like how creative the racing thing was, but I myself didn't have too much fun with it. Cool they tried something new tho Ruined Kingdom - missed potential :( Moon Kingdom - the first good one, but I don't like the law gravity, 2D section and the platforming gauntlet was really good Cap Kingdom - amazing tutorial, cool spooky vibes, but comforting nontheless. I like it Mushroom Kingdom - Low, I know, but when I first reached it I realllly wanted an HD remaster of Bombomb Battlefield. 64 model costume was cool and nostalgic, and Yoshi was realllllly cool, but Toadette's achievements????? Here's where it gets tough Lake Kingdom - At first I was scared of it cuz water, but the cheep cheeps fix it. The speedrun route is fun, and the zipper capture was also nice, but it just doesn't compare to the next ones: Seaside Kingdom - the layout/design of this one is super unique, branching pathways from one large openworld center, cool underwater stuff, bossfight is actually pretty fun, capture is amazing Cascade Kingdom - loved it. could be higher but the others just mog it sooooo hard. Dino is cool but wooded kingdom's is better Lost Kingdom - Actually really fun. A lot of people say this one is trash but like I like it idk Wooded Kingdom - Humanity has perished. Robots tend the flowers. Fire all around. Bowser's Kingdom - Flicky birdddddd, Mario Galaxy-ish areas seperated by powerlines. The koopa speedrun is super fun Sand Kingdom - Basically everything he said Luncheon - another one of my favorites. The duality of SMO as both a linear mario and as an open odyssey creates an amazing kingdom with open lava areas and an upward climb with some great fork platforming, ect. Sand - amazing Metro - peak

Metro Kingdom isn’t just the best World in Super Mario Odyssey. It isn’t even just the best World in a 3D Mario Game. It’s the best world in any 3D Platformer! Excellent pick man!
Luncheon is so complicated for me. On the one hand, this might be the most fun the kingdom to play during the holiday season. Specifically, every thanksgiving, I'll just mess around in this Kingdom wild Thanksgiving dinner is being made, and it seriously a great tradition I look forward to every year. But if you're playing it in the middle of a random saturday, then I don't really enjoy this much.
I'm pretty sure Deep Woods was a show of versatility. It's like the inverse of how the vine subareas' death planes are simply how you exit the subareas without dying or taking damage. Deep Woods was showing that part of the overworld's death plane could be used as a loading zone. This was a hardware release game, so Nintendo also designed it to demonstrate the Switch's hardware capabilities to devs.
I loved this game so much But it was clearly unfinished when they released it.
