First, the Grand Highlander is a really good car, good video :D I really think the grand Highlander should be ready to sell here in Costa Rica, the Grand Highlander is a really safe, comfortable and good car, and it's good that is hybrid because there is no necessary to full the engine with gasoline everytime, staring at 55 Grand is a little bit of problem, cause in Costa Rica the cars are more expensive, BUT REALLY GOOD VIDEO :D
I don't care if the audio is pumped in or not but the sound in toyota's new 2.4 Turbo sounds better and more mature than the higher revving non-hybrid 2.5 found in RAV4s and Camrys where it sounds rough like the car is having a hard time accelerating.
Hey Charlie, I agree with you that the new Grand Highlander looks like a super-sized RAV4, but what's going on with the Grand Highlander's hood? Wow, that's a hood that would make a heavy-duty truck owner look with envious eyes. Toyota must be "Keeping Up Appearances", they gave the Grand Highlander's engine bay "room for a pony". The Grand Highlander gives buyers Sequoia-like interior room without the ponderous exterior presence. Toyota always makes interesting feature choices to keep the price under control. To add to that, Edd, I'd wager it has even more room inside than a Sequoia, with its car-based platform (as opposed to the Sequoia's truck-based platform)!
I think you have the 265 horse power, 310 torque on the 2.4 turbo highlander the wrong way around As I’m sure that engine has 300 plus torque in other cars
My big thing is.. do I want limited or Platinum.. And do I want the lower hybrid engine & get more mpg.. or get the better engine & lose some mpg but gain some power, towing capability & better AWD.. hmm. I would rarely be using the 3rd row.. but I think I'd prefer 2nd row bench. The rear would be for cargo capacity.

The XLE for 45 MSRP has nothing in it. Pretty much wheels, engine and seats. Ridiculous. Not even daytime running lights! You have to get the 51K limited trim to have the basics.

Love the interior. Matt/satin non-shiny surfaces, physical buttons, knobs, integrated tacho, not a flippin' pad threw on the dash
it looks like a vw tiguan in the back and a bigger and bloated version of the rav4 in da front.

I'm pretty sure those Great numbers are for just the driver in the vehicle at the time. Full up, with luggage likely to be a lot closer to 29-30MPG?
