    Nicely done! I liked how you placed the ground and neutral on the same side of the electrical box. Also, you have great lighting for night time grilling 👍

    I've subscribed to you for years! It's great to see instructional videos from someone that understands the principles of what they are working with (e.g. not technically requiring a wire nut on the ground wires) rather than just reading back from a required for code list :)

    Nice. Is that all the insulation you have, or did you sweep it back for the install?

      My entire attic has about 10 - 11 in of insulation covering all the joists. The area that you saw was over my carport which doesn't require any.

    Nice! However, with all the solar options around, which are now fairly cheap, it would probably be safer for a rookie to install a solar motion sensing light… maybe another video…

      I considered solar, but for a soffit it's really not that good. I would need to run a wire below the gutter to a small solar panel to keep the battery charged. And if we have a couple of days of no sun, I would have no light at night. Thank you for watching!

    I didn't know that electrical boxes "smoked"! It sure looked like a face smoking that romex.
