    I truly appreciate every moment of this tribute to Bobby Darin. He was such a Tremendously talented singer and performer. I feel so blessed to have had his
    music in my life. Thank you, and God Bless

    Bobby Darin was so modest. Even with all the accolations they were giving him, he still tried to deflect each compliment and give it to the other person saying "I owe it all to you" and things like that. He really was the greatest human being, so much talent and yet so humble!

    Thank you so much for posting these video’s. The world is a richer place because of Bobby Darin. Not just the great music he made that we still get to enjoy, but the great human being he was! I especially enjoyed seeing how much he loved his friends and family and how much they loved him. Sammy Davis Jr, what a great guy. No wonder I loved him as a kid. And George Burns affection for Bobby, awesome.

    Bobby Darin died at only 37 from post-op heart surgery complications. How he touched so many lives so young. He would learn a few years after this show that his sister was actually his mother, and he went into seclusion, taking this revelation really hard. RIP Bobby.

    This was way before he met Sandra Dee and married and had Dodd Mitchell. Dodd, sure looks like his daddy. Glad he didn't inherit his dad's heart issues. He made it to 37, that's better then 16. Sandra, was a little beauty, to bad they divorced. She loved him all to the way to the grave.

    @frank02111 Talk about narcissim..you are the perfect example of the textbook case. In addition, having known Bobby since 1959 (Chez Paree, Chicago), until one year prior to his untimely death on Dec. 20, 1973, "Beyond The Sea," didn't even come close to representing the "real" Bobby Darin." No wonder that it was never considered, for an Academy Award. One of the shoddiest representation of a Biography. No wonder that Kevin Spacek, hasn't appeared in a movie, since.

      Yeah, but it was just a different time then, the same thing happened to Jack Nicholson, a reporter called him and told him, which he told that reporter he was crazy, but called a family member and they confirmed it, his mother and sister had already passed, but I loved Jack Nicholson response, he called the reporter back and told him he admired those two women even more for raising him so well!

I am sorry but I am confused had she not already passed...I mean obviously as they just mentioned she died of a stroke befor "This is your life" and he had no idea or anybody else yet. So sorry I dont believe his Grandmother told him. His politic ambition was near the end of the 60"s.

    I agree, the film with Spacey as Darrin, did not do any kind of justice to truth. Is definitely not a biography...purely fiction based on what I know of him and the lovely Sandra Dee. The truth should be interesting enough, for Pete's sake!

    • @hategreed1
      @hategreed1 8 лет назад +3

      Agreed. A person has to be cracked to want to watch Spacey as Darin. There are abundant videos on Bobby and Bobby's performances. Those are treasure. Who needs karaoke/copying, when you can have the REAL GREAT DEAL.
