Also..get your mental health and physical health together. Resolve relationships so you dont go to basic with personal issues hanging over your head. You want to be 100% focused. Great advice from this Marine. Do research. My Army recruiter told me RA or nothing. He would not explain the reserves or National guard to me.
Thank you for this video super helpful. I’m 24 and going to meet my recruiter this Monday. I’m looking to make a career change wish I had joined earlier but it’s not too late!
i ship out in 2 months and 4 days and in anything the only thing i think i’m concerned about is my laziness and discipline, i want to be able to get up even when i don’t feel like it and get what i need to get done, done.
This is very well detailed for anyone wanting to join. My only question I had because I’m choosing between Navy or Marines is for anyone that has a college degree can they become an officer in the Marines?
Thanks for the response. Glad to hear it helped! Yes, with a college degree you can absolutely become a Marine Officer. I highly recommend reaching out to a local Marine recruiter and talking with them. They’ll definitely point you in the right direction 🤙🏼
Great video. I was in the Marines, and I was doing I &I duty. I wish you could have hit on if reserves wanted to go active duty or OCS, how would they apply
Take your time choosing a job or MOS. You may not want to be in the field all the time. It kills relationships and is a harder life. I was Artillery in the Army.
This might sound like a dumb question but are women and men in the same bootcamp? Meaning is it mixed for exercises or do the woman perform exercises with other women.
Definitely not a dumb question. Males and females do not train together at boot camp. Males train only with males and females train only with females. It’s not until after boot camp that males and females train together. Hope that helps 🤙🏼
Sorry if this a goofy question but when going to boot camp, does the recruit take their cellphone with them & turn it it with everything else or should they just lewve it at home before even going on the bus ?
I heard a story about a guy who failed meps 15 times. What do you think about it? I thought there was a few months grace period upon 1st fail, then like a year after 2nd fail. Wouldn't 15 fails take years?
I’m going to a recruiter soon, does it matter if i chipped my front tooth, but it’s been fixed a long time ago? i already told him i havnt broken any bones
Ask about a signing bonus. I don’t know if that’s still a thing, but when I went in (2000), the Army was throwing money at people trying to get them to sign. I wanted to be a Marine, so I asked my Marine recruiter “Do you all give bonuses, too?” It most likely won’t be as much as other branches, but I got in my contract a $3000 bonus for my MOS in combat arms (1833). You have to graduate boot camp, MCT, and your MOS school, but when that bonus hit, that was a nice paycheck as a PFC. And best of all, I wasn’t a soldier 😝 I was a Marine 😎 (just joking, Army)
If you enjoyed the video, what was your favorite part? If you happened to dislike let me know too so I can improve for the future 🔥

i'll make sure to ask all of these!!
Awesome. This is definitely a great place to start and make sure to write them down so you don’t forget 🔥🤙🏼

Me encanta este video
That hybrid system kicking in is distracting. Otherwise kudos
Only down side for me is my age at 45 to join the military. I am afraid unable to join any branch even with a college degree.
I can run 6 miles in around 47 minutes. I also have two college degrees. But, I need to talk about how long it takes him to do his hair like this?
Sorry if this a goofy question but when going to boot camp, does the recruit take their cellphone with them & turn it it with everything else or should they just lewve it at home before even going on the bus ?
My brother just left it at home and my parents brought it to him when he graduated, it's probably smarter leaving anything home you don't need

Don't listen to what you hear. There are loads of BS stories going around.

i already told him i havnt broken any bones
You should be alright
Don’t even tell him, it doesn’t matter. But if it is it won’t be if you don’t tell him.
Marines are sick!!!!
Thank god for free medical 😂
Thanks for the support brother 🤙🏼
