Is there something itchy in black walnut leaves? Both dogs started scratching seriously after the leaves started falling from the trees. This happened last year as well. They haven't left our house and yard in months. I've searched their coats and don't see any fleas or flea dirt. Their diet hasn't changed

@@OurPetsHealth my dog keeps on scratching and somehow her fur is shredding, like the part of her belly looks like bald now. I'm really worried especially her fur is falling off. Her skin in some parts are dry and no fur, what do I need to do😭
the first thing my vet said was allergy, so we tried allergy food for him, around 10-12 weeks no difference. now he is getting cortisone, however you spell it. and we are waiting for a blood test. but they never even talked about an infection, it started as a big wound on his back, then dry skin and "hot spots" small wounds everywhere and dry skin, also in the ears and he is really itchy in the ears even with cortisone .
So I have a 7 month old puppy, Evan, who has been scratching and biting himself since we got him. He scratches and bites himself so much that he has bald spots where hair won’t grow and scabs. We got a medical shampoo that we let sit on him for 20-25 mins before washing it off and we bathe him twice a week. It helps a little but barely. We give him Benadryl also (both recommended by our vet) and that just makes him very drowsy. Needless to say, he still has a big issue. We have him wearing a cone and baby clothes a lot to prevent biting but you can see he can’t help himself to scratch as much as possible and he’s suffering from it. I also, don’t know if it’s related, but our first time boarding him for the holidays- he came back with an infected eye. A bald, red circle around the eye, and some inflammation. We’ve been giving him an eye wash that is helping but it still makes me wonder if he scratched his eye and was allergic to something. Anyway, I love the poor guy and really want him to be happy. The Benadryl drowsiness makes him lethargic and he isn’t himself. I just want him to have a normal dogs life. To play and not suffer. And the medical bills are getting so high that I worry we won’t have the means to help him enough. Please help me! I love him so much. Also: The vet recorded that Evan is calm and I want to let you know he’s easy to work with. He does also pull out his hair and it’s thinning. He takes trifexis now so I can rule out parasites and such. But, as I said, he’s been doing this since we got him. Also, he grows extra hair in his ears.

My German shepherd has started scratching and biting compulsively recently. Can’t find anything on him. He doesn’t do it if I take him out and play with him so if he’s distracted it doesn’t bother him so I’ve been taking him to the park up to 8x a day. Wonder if that has anything to do with it? Also had him groomed and de-shedded to try and help but it hasn’t helped at all. Any suggestions

PLEASE HELP!!! we got our puppy from a breeder when he was 8weeks. the breeder did tell us he ate Royal canin. but since there’s a shortage we had to change his food ASAP (SIMPLY NOURISH for PUPPIES) its our first puppy, a Maltipoo, and couple weeks later we notice he started itching… and now he is 14weeks old still scratching and biting himself to the point of bleeding.. none stop. we took him to the vet & of course he said allergies, we’re giving him prednisone everyday half a pill. vet suggested us to feed him rice with cottage cheese or cottage cheese with chicken, which made him worse since he kept licking his feet and moaning. we thing its the rice.. but who really knows. we also ordered a cone so we hope it prevents him from scratching… WHAT CAN IT BE ??! anxiety? allergic to chicken, grains? pollen? he also DOESNT HAVE FLEAS OR MITES. we also chnged his shampoo to Burts bees hydrating shampoo with coconut… but no luck. we are so desperate to know whats causing it. im almost close to giving him up because we just cant seem to knoww whats cause him to itch, bite & make himself bleed.

@@sidsudhir8231 they scraped a couple places on his body, took blood work and he did have mites, which caused scabies. he would itch and bite his legs (pull his fur out at some point) and as he would itch himself he would cry… nothing worked for us. we tried switching his food, shampoo & we didn’t take him out at all. it was a very very rough time… we took him to 3-4 vets and not a single one told us what was wrong.. so i would really recommend to take your doggy to a hospital instead, they deal with that type of skin disease. the hospital got him started on oral flea medication, also gave him anxiety medication, for the itch, and medicated shampoo. so far he eats anything.. i hope this helps you in a way! im sorry to hear that. i know how stressing it is. we couldn’t find a way out and almost considered putting him to sleep, but we didnt 🥺 he is a happy pup now 💙

we got our puppy from a breeder when he was 8weeks. the breeder did tell us he ate Royal canin. but since there’s a shortage we had to change his food ASAP (SIMPLY NOURISH for PUPPIES) its our first puppy, a Maltipoo, and couple weeks later we notice he started itching… and now he is 14weeks old still scratching and biting himself to the point of bleeding.. none stop. we took him to the vet & of course he said allergies, we’re giving him prednisone everyday half a pill. vet suggested us to feed him rice with cottage cheese or cottage cheese with chicken, which made him worse since he kept licking his feet and moaning. we thing its the rice.. but who really knows. we also ordered a cone so we hope it prevents him from scratching… WHAT CAN IT BE ??! anxiety? allergic to chicken, grains? pollen? he also DOESNT HAVE FLEAS OR MITES. we also chnged his shampoo to Burts bees hydrating shampoo with coconut… but no luck. we are so desperate to know whats causing it. im almost close to giving him up because we just cant seem to knoww whats cause him to itch, bite & make himself bleed.
Hey I see you posted 2 months ago. Any luck? I’m in a similar position with my 6 month old puppy
@@sidsudhir8231 we took him to a hospital and it was scabies 🥺 he is now sooo much better, his fur is growing beautifully, he is normal again & happy 😭
@@Smilessz925 How did the vet diagnose it. Do you know the symptoms other than scratching. We have taken her to the vet, but I dont think the vet has checked for that. And what is involved in the recovery. Would appreciate the feedback!
@@sidsudhir8231 they scraped a couple places on his body, took blood work and he did have mites, which caused scabies. he would itch and bite his legs (pull his fur out at some point) and as he would itch himself he would cry… nothing worked for us. we tried switching his food, shampoo & we didn’t take him out at all. it was a very very rough time… we took him to 3-4 vets and not a single one told us what was wrong.. so i would really recommend to take your doggy to a hospital instead, they deal with that type of skin disease. the hospital got him started on oral flea medication, also gave him anxiety medication, for the itch, and medicated shampoo. so far he eats anything.. i hope this helps you in a way! im sorry to hear that. i know how stressing it is. we couldn’t find a way out and almost considered putting him to sleep, but we didnt 🥺 he is a happy pup now 💙
03:20 it's the exact same case with my pups... Please help
My dog is really itchy, I brought him to doc and he said give him Benadril. I don't want to give him Benadril everyday though. What should I ask him to check?
Benadryl is an antihistamine used to help with skin allergies and also reactions to insect bites or stings. If the itching is long term then this video might also help How to Treat Dog Skin Allergies: the 6 Step Plan - ruclips.net/video/HRTG9De-msw/видео.html
Our Pets Health How much Benadryl should I give daily to my 20 pound little dog? 50mgs? 100mgs? Less? Thanks! He scratches a lot, and have scabs on his back mainly. I made an appointment with the Vet, but it’s not until 14 September 2020.
Dr Alex. Got a boxer. She has constant skin allergies in the form of pimples and itching. The vet blames seasonal polline or grasses. We have had her on psytopoint for awhile. Its not working. No access to bendryl here in the pacific.
Hi just wondering did you get a solution a cure was your problem resolved??? Is your dog better ?? I have the same problem with my dog and we do the monthly injection psytopoint as well and my vet said is not recommended because it can cause liver and kidney failure 😢 I am looking to help my little guy do you have any helpful information please 🙏

I WATCHED YOUR VIDEO LAST NIGHT ......LET ME ADD ONE "PREGNANCY" TRIXY RED CATTLE DOG WAS BLOATING ITCHING SCOOTING. AND JUST 15 MIN AGO SHE POPPED OUT A PUP PROBABLY WILL HAVE 3 OR SO?
My dog started inching really bad, pull lots of her hair, the skin has red patches . I gave her allergy pills, smoothing spray with honey suckle, didn't work, then baking soda water apply with cotton ball. Overnight she scratch out lot of her long hair.😔 . I believe what cause it was ,I gave her a bath with Dawn dish detergent and rice with Pantene conditioner 😳 .today she is looking better. Do you think that was my mistake? Is the first time it happened 😭
Hemp oil seems to be the fix all.

My dog has really thick and long hair . Everytime I just touch her she itches. I check for fleas but she has one or two I always check her and bath her with oatmeal shampoo and I put the flea repellent on her . Nothing seems to work she itches all day and night . What else can I do ? Anyone have a suggestion please comment❗🐶
If she has fleas then you need to be using a treatment that works. I'd suggest talking to your vet clinic about the best option. If she's still itchy then you need to look into what the cause, the possibilities of which are outlined in this video
My lil pooch is nipping at the base of her tail, a lot. Her vet did her glands bout 2 months ago, so I don’t think it’s her glands. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thankyou for your time
If her glands do get full then they could have refilled in that time. The other most common cause of nibbling at the tail base is fleas. Here's a video about how to check for fleas - ruclips.net/video/eQlp8AXIdCQ/видео.html
Our Pets Health Thankyou so much for getting back. I’ve watched vid. She does get treated every month, I’ve checked her, can’t see anything, but I’m gunna order 1 of them combs to be double sure. Thankyou again x

That really does not sound normal and your parents really need to take her to the vet. Good luck
@@OurPetsHealth well good news i managed to get hold of my aunt, so she'll be taking her to the vet soon. :)
Do cats get this too?
I can’t even take my dog to the vet because of quarantine
Same and I think my dog has a ear infection

hi my french bulldog has started scratching herself allot lately I've searched and cant see flees I've tried frontline flee control but nothing has changed, she is losing hair due to so much scratching around her ears but also res rash on you legs, I've tried ear mite drops but it persists, I changed her dog food after we got her would this have caused the problem?
food allergies are one cause of itching, you could try changing back but it sounds like she is really bad so talking to your vet would be a good idea or she might start damaging her skin or get an infection
Can my dog have multiple
Yes
Help please my pug scratching a lot

My dog is so screwed
I hope not
my dog is biting and licking his paws and when he's falling asleep he'll suddenly wake up and start scratching him self
he doesn't sound comfortable. Definitely warrants a check up
could you please tell how to sort it.?///
it depends what is causing the itching
Why is my dog only itchy after his bath when I dry him with the hair dryer?
Just an opinion but could it because of the shampoo you're using? perhaps you could try a different brand and see if it helps.
Your probably irritating his skin so maybe let it air dry :)
I have a long haired Gsd, bitch, 11 year old. A few months ago she had got wet, (rain) I towed dryed her. Since then shes now got a habit of badly scratching. No fleas. Skin Condision dry, sometimes get red bleeding from scratching biting one area till she pulls out the hair. Hair loss is down her back buy her tail, not her head ears, sometimes she does her hind legs.. Hibb scrub ect does not work. The rain makes her scratch note I live by an airport could this be the trouble. She is basically bored thankyou from England
boredom and anxiety can cause licking one area to release endorphins but this is normally just a single patch on the leg rather than itching/scratching all over. Has she been treated for mites as well as fleas? It sounds pretty bad for her so I'd really recommend a trip to your vet to get it sorted. Good luck
@@OurPetsHealth thankyou yes she has, it's the high chlorine that's making her skin dry out causing her to scratch. I bathed her in just reverse osmosis filter water every 2and day, I have had an in improvement, thankyou for your repliy
This dog keeps on scratching
I wish it would of had “ try this first” to rule out things
Why can't these videos just say this is the five reasons and tell what they are instead of tell all this history like a book
What about ant bites
yes, they would fit in with the parasite group along with other biting insects that don't actually live on the dog
Wow
Gonna mix some neosporin with his shampoo next time
I would advise applying the Neosporin directly everyday.
My dog keeps digging at his ears, anal glad area, and digging at his face what could be causing this
allergies, parasites, infection...
Maybe it’s because my dog hasn’t a bathed in a while
My dog is itchy
Be nice dude
Why the stupid music
Was your Medical training by the Rothchild's? You missed YEAST infection! Loss of hair and severe itching and black blotch's on the skin when the dog's skin is pink. Vets around here gave Citopoint and allergy shots that caused my dogs condition that almost killed him. Nzymes saved him, along with their information on proper foods with elimination of crap dog foods on market! I am an RN with 5 degrees and know that many dogs around here died, just put them on IV's; lots of $ for nothing!
🤔 I literally say yeast at around 0:34
Maybe a degree in listening and civility next?
Dude! Fix your sound
yes, a lot has changed since this was filmed 5 years ago!
YOU NEED TO BE MORE SPECIFIC ON TREATMENTS, THIS VIDEO IS WORTHLESS WITHOUT THE TREATMENT AND CAUSES
Then you'd complain about it being an hour long!
the audio is soooo bad
In what way?
