- In this video, I went to Tokyo, Japan, to compare two different pizza restaurants. The first restaurant I went to is Domino's Pizza, which is an international franchise that most of you guys are probably familiar with, and the second restaurant is Seirinkan, a highly praised italian style pizza restaurant in Japan. Let me show you guys how they compare and how amazing they taste!!

Jimmy have you ever been to Pizza school? It was my favorite pizza spot when I lived in Seoul in 2015. Cheap and was right next to where I lived.

@@GrapevineTexas111 in their app i assume. idk, its on the other apps like kfc, pizza hut, maybe mcdonalds so i am not sure if its the same for dominos
@@GrapevineTexas111 They always have 2 days/week with 50% off by default. In my country that's on wednesday and sunday. They also do 3 euro/pizza from time to time (medium 25cm). However, not every Domino's is the same. So you got to try out different ones if you can till you find the best one ;)

This shop is a legend! It used to be called SAVOY and the bloodline spawned several other hyped neapolitan style pizza joints around the nearby area by previous staff. One carried the old namesake SAVOY and has been around for quite some time (and I like a little better); while the other is the current mega-hype SNS joint PST. (side -- Domino's margherita is a delight for what it is, with cherry tomatoes & finely chopped fresh basil -- next time hope u can try!)

Dominos handmade pan pizza in the US is outstanding. It's definitely fast food pizza but it's still very delicious.
It doesn't surprise me a Korean would like Papa Johns over Dominos. Papa Johns makes the most sugary sweet pizza in America, just like a lot of Korean pizzas.

Last year I was in Seoul, in an alley close to central station, and I entered randomly in a kind of pub. I got a delicious Italian style pizza with basil pesto and a really good mozzarella ball in the middle, not cheap but not really expensive. 🇮🇹

For me, I think the crust is the most important part of the pizza. Here in the US, it seems like the toppings are prioritized. The pizza you had in Japan looks great though I don't like it when the middle of the crust is soggy. I like it when you can pick up the slice and it doesnt flop down even with its thin. I noticed you were using a knife to hold up the slice.
Unfortunately, these days, I rarely ever eat pizza as I've had to start eating healthier. I still eat pizza when I goto Italy.

Strictly speaking about the pizzas itself, I think the Domino's pizza looks just so much better and is way less "dirty" to eat. I obviously can't compare the taste, but I've eaten a lot of italian style pizza in and outside of italy and it's always a pretty common trend how the pizza is eaten. I don't know, I just like the floor of my pizza to be sturdy and thick enough to keep most of it's form when you're lifting a piece. I just can't with a comparitively soggy one you have to eat with fork and knife. The taste however is amazing, that's the redeeming factor for me, but yeah if I can choose I'd easily take Domino's. Also on a sidenote, the Seirinkan pizza really is very small for 12,50. I mean hey if the eating style of the pizza is something you like more and you enjoy the taste too then it's probably worth it. For me it would just be the taste and that alone can't carry a pizza for me. Texture, size and money all factor in.

I live in Canada and I've worked at Domino's and Boston Pizza in my opinion BP's pizza is better and fresher dough than Domino's.Oh yea BP's makes there pizza dough every day fresh and Domino's has there dough shipped to there store 3 times a week

That pizza place is overated... Not recommended if you are in Japan. FYI this place is mostly vegetation food.
