Loved watching the video ❤ Shizuka is awesome as always I'm craving donuts now 😋✨ Thank you for this wonderful video 🤍 Hope you all have a blessed new year🥰
Hi JBF!!! The donuts with the neeple on the top got the Win!!! Lol. Hiiiiii. I like the Shizuka approved thing that pops up when Shizuka approves . It is a cool addition. Have a good day y'all.
Shizuka, another great video with a great selection of delicious dishes that you tried out! Please keep them coming. Looking forward to the next video by Japan By Food. Have a Happy New Year!!
I look forward to your episode every Sunday, When I finally get to tour Tokyo, I am so looking forward to your food tour. What a wonderful channel , and such a classy host!l
The Japanese craftsmanship for pastry & bread is unbelievable. Casual local small-scale bakeries in each Japanese town all sell a variety of standard & specialty breads and pastries in excellent quality. I've never been to Europe and I'm in the US. Good quality pastries/breads are probably easier to come by in Europe than in the States, but my goodness Japanese pastries/breads are so very good at the local unpretentious mom n' pap bakeries, much higher in quality than what can be found generally in the United States. I wish I had a local bakery in my town like the one in Japan.
Enjoyed the video! Been to Japan a handful of times. Gonna take my cousin(October 2025) and show him around. Definitely gonna add the donut place and the stabler to our to eat list. Question, going to Osaka as well… any old videos u recommend me to watch or r u gonna make new ones?
We have some great Osaka videos on the channel! We have a playlist full of Osaka content but also be on the lookout for an Osaka guide that we’ll be uploading soon 🔍
Those donuts were ĥuge and delicious looking! Can you visit Ishikawa some day and highlight their specialities? Hopefully they have recovered from the big earthquake by now. I think if you went and share what is delicious there, it could help the people in their recovery. Best wishes for a wonderful New Year!
I love Asian pastries, desserts and cakes in Japan. On rare occasions, I find a good croissant in bakeries that specialised in western baked goods like the ones in Yuda Onsen and in Kanazawa. If you find sourdough donuts in Japan, please do review!! ❤
I love eggs and steaks, so those two sandwiches looks so amazing to me. I wonder if they allow you to mix the eggs and steaks together at that place? That would be a perfect sandwich to me. 😋
You all make me feel weird not removing the wrapper 😂 I always think you all are going to eat it lol I miss you so much. I hope you had a wonderful day today ❤️ I love you all so much 💋
I watching your latest food vlogg today. I'am sure I really enjoy this.. About food vlog. Hopefully you making many food vlogg.. You look pretty and beautiful.. On your vlogg. Take care always.. ♥️♥️♥️
I went to Parkside on New Years day oops. They were closed :( Luckily I live in Setagaya so will go back soon! Stabler in Ebisu looks incredible though - I'll go there today!
Need to update Kakigori recommendations .. Sebastian moved his shop to Melbourne and Da Cafe Ebisu which we were planning to try next month also recently closed down 😢
7:15 I definitely order 1 more bowl of rice, so I get two dishes. One for myself, and another one for .... myself, too. 😬 Huft, I wish I can share it with my future wife. 🤦🏻♂️
Great video with so much positive vibes. It’s really rare to find such a happy video with this length without relaying on cheap shots and talks. Great stuff! 😊
Here in Germany we have similar items to the "Donuts", with a long long tradition, but they are called "Berliner (like the city) - or Kreppel". Are those the same elements ?
I have yet to see the pancakes at BUTTER covered by English-speaking social media, but I've seen it pop up a lot on Japanese accounts. That would be fun to include in a video.
I can't believe the donuts were ¥550 (USD$3.50)! Maybe they are exceptional, but that price is expensive and you have to draw a line. At ¥1800 the meat sandwich looked like it was a good value.

This episode goes into the Top 10 of Japan by Food because all the food looks so delicious.
She's so damn pretty. And nice I asked a question a few years back about tire changes at a place and she actually responded. Wish her all the success.
Yes! More of these type of content. Maybe do Osaka and other prefectures too? Also, I just want to say that Shizuka is hands down, my favorite host!
Thanks for the suggestion! We'll keep that in mind for future videos.
Can we start making burgers WIDER, instead of taller? I can only open my mouth so far. 😂
Lol
So true! I can’t stand messy burgers too where you have to use a knife and fork.
Ah, this has been around for while now & I totally agree
fuck yes please
you mean a sub?
those donuts are gonna be a must-try for the next trip
I would definitely be interested in more of these. Going to Japan in a few weeks and this is great info. Thank you!!~
Loved watching the video ❤
Shizuka is awesome as always
I'm craving donuts now 😋✨
Thank you for this wonderful video 🤍
Hope you all have a blessed new year🥰
japan’s food scene is on another level. i’ve yet to have anything bad there. seeing all these makes me so sad and jealous 😂
Thank you Shizzy! Happy New Year!

Thanks for watching! 😉
Love this content, looks so good. Please do cheap eats meals in Japan under $15.
Love from Australia.
We'll keep that in mind for future videos. 🍜
Great format, more of these please :)
And I'd go for the mochi, but be worried as I regularly choke on just water hahaha

I hope this becomes a series!
This channel is amazing!! I wish Japanese airlines would add it to their in-flight channels❤️
is episode is a treasure!
I need to try those donuts, always wanted to go to Sangen-Jaya, since its the neighborhood Persona 5 takes place in.
Thanks for the recommendations, I want to try the fried brown rice mochi next time I travel to Japan!

beef tendon curry with minced cutlet, I gotta try that!
If I could only select one dish from the video, that would be the one. 😋
I love Asian pastries, desserts and cakes in Japan. On rare occasions, I find a good croissant in bakeries that specialised in western baked goods like the ones in Yuda Onsen and in Kanazawa.
If you find sourdough donuts in Japan, please do review!! ❤
Shizuka looked fantastic, the food looked fantastic, and it would be hard for me to pick a favorite food, but the donuts looked incredibly good.
The energy of the Host is Amazing keep it up
Good story again, mouth watering to watch meat sandwitch at Shimokitazawa. Hope we can remember it on our next trip to Tokyo.
You definitely should! It's a must-try when you're there. 😋
I went to the Stabler in Shimokitazawa with my American friend. He recommended me to go there and it blew my mind. 😊
Phew! Was worried you'd left Japan By Food :)
The diet started earlier this year for the trip to come soon. So keen to check some of these out!
Here to support shizuka 😊
Those donuts look outstanding.
That egg sandwich looked amazing! I stay in Ebisu when I go to Tokyo so I'll have to give it a try next time.
I love eggs and steaks, so those two sandwiches looks so amazing to me. I wonder if they allow you to mix the eggs and steaks together at that place? That would be a perfect sandwich to me. 😋
Oh my gosh, STABLER stole my heart 🤩
Just keep going making a food vlogg. In japan. I really love this... 👍
Love you Shizzy ❤
I love stabler, and the onion rings are to die for.
Have a happy new year, you guys! ❤❤❤
shouts out to the video editor! the car hitting the text and moving is so cool hehe
looks like a lot of heavy hittin' goodness there, thanks for showing us how to eat them, I'll try my hand at them someday
Will go for the meat dishes. Yum!!
I trusted Shizuka approve and Happy new year guys!
You all make me feel weird not removing the wrapper 😂 I always think you all are going to eat it lol I miss you so much. I hope you had a wonderful day today ❤️ I love you all so much 💋

Hopefully you making many food vlogg.. You look pretty and beautiful.. On your vlogg.
Take care always.. ♥️♥️♥️
That last sandwich looks amazing. I need to try it.
Donuts so cute😮
I would go to Tokyo just for that steak sandwich but that meat volcano looks amazing too!
Those matcha donuts.. wow
The doughnuts remind me of the malasadas we have here in Hawaii. Very similar.
I went to Parkside on New Years day oops. They were closed :( Luckily I live in Setagaya so will go back soon!
Stabler in Ebisu looks incredible though - I'll go there today!
Definitely want to try the donuts. Big back problems I guess. 😂
Aito Denki Mochi Ten lady is gorgeous, holy moly.
New Monday & new Shizuka Chan's food adventure I am so ready for it! Shizuka Chan tonikaku kawai! :)
Holy £$%, the steak and egg sandwiches look incredible!
More please
Shizuka Anderson san is so naturally pretty. She also gives off the vibe she will make a fanatstic pretty mom.
They all looked interesting, but the Mochi one appealed to me the most.
this girl's on the America's Most Wanted List!
I miss Tokyo! I was there a month ago and I miss the food! (and Toho).
12:10 - Never thought I'd see Rat Fink make an appearance. 😆
I want to try that meat sandwich. Looks like a real steak sandwich. Its not the typical open faced steak sandwich. That egg sandwich looks good too.
I don't usually fancy doughnuts, but I have to agree with Shizuka on this. The doughnuts really look delicious 😋
They are definitely worth trying at least once!
Donuts kinda reminded me of a Malassada.
12:10 Stabler has the biggest steak sandwich. IMO Ebisu Yoroniku offers one of the best steak sandwiches in Tokyo.
Damn... gotta try Stablers sandos 💯
whoa Shizuka Approves
My preferred establishment for breakfast sandwiches offers exceptional portions of meat; the quantity is truly remarkable.
the guy coming to serve the doublewide sandwich is double wide himself. Very good looking man
Need to update Kakigori recommendations .. Sebastian moved his shop to Melbourne and Da Cafe Ebisu which we were planning to try next month also recently closed down 😢
DAMN IT SHIZUKA, WISH THIS VIDEO CAME OUT 2 WEEKS AGO WHEN I WAS IN JAPAN......SAD!😭😭
"I see you not doing it!".. She's getting bossy.... I like it lol
7:15 I definitely order 1 more bowl of rice, so I get two dishes. One for myself, and another one for .... myself, too. 😬
Huft, I wish I can share it with my future wife. 🤦🏻♂️
I had to double check if I’m subscribed.
Donuts have been around in Germany since the 16th century and are called Krapfen or Berliner Pfannkuchen in many variations…
Shizuka Approved :)
Great video with so much positive vibes. It’s really rare to find such a happy video with this length without relaying on cheap shots and talks. Great stuff! 😊
Glad you enjoyed it!
I will be back in Japan in 五月 :) And I would definetely go to the あいと電気餅でん!🥹
You're worth the hype
SHIZUKA ❤
Shizuka sure knows how to open big.
Love that the hamburgu don is more expensive if you don't finish.
Here in Germany we have similar items to the "Donuts", with a long long tradition, but they are called "Berliner (like the city) - or Kreppel".
Are those the same elements ?
Where can I get that "Sizhuka Approves" stamp? I want one
The first is a copy of a very old German pastry called berliner or pancake. The second is also similar in Germany.
The meat sandwich looks yummy
She’s the viral food id love to eat out.
Come for the food, stay for the "mmmmm..... MMMM!"
I have yet to see the pancakes at BUTTER covered by English-speaking social media, but I've seen it pop up a lot on Japanese accounts. That would be fun to include in a video.
Taking notes ✍🏼
I can't believe the donuts were ¥550 (USD$3.50)! Maybe they are exceptional, but that price is expensive and you have to draw a line. At ¥1800 the meat sandwich looked like it was a good value.
You would have a heart attack in New York City
You must live in a rural bakery/Doughnut shop free area because that’s CHEAP. I’d pay double
Maybe have the steak sandwich & add an egg!!!!
Yeh my father had a good definition of the beef sandwich, “cut off the horns and hooves and wipe its arse” that’s rare
That looks like chipotle Tabasco, which is, without argument, the superior Tabasco.
1000 yen? Is that still only about $10? that's pretty good
