tbf i work there and the only time i’m baffled is a 50+ pizza order (biggest i’ve seen is 205)
Not weird when you order for a company.
What I found funnier was that they couldn't show all the different US crusts not because of the usual "It wasn't available at the store they went to," but because they had so many pizzas that they couldn't find the crunchy thin crust. XD

I work in a US dominos, and the dips are a flop. They are absolutely great right out of the oven, but almost nobody gets to eat it right out of the oven, they harden really fast
They got rid of the cheeseburger and chicken taco pizzas but kept those stupid dips
I love the apple pie one!! It's my families favorite. I use to work in Dominos in Alabama. It depends on where you live if it's a flop

We were talking about the cheese dips. They aren't saucy. Just melted cheese that hardens quickly. You can barely eat it with a fork let alone a bread twist.

A Philly cheesesteak pizza is like if New York and Philadelphia had a mistake of a baby, put them on the streets, and Domino's took it in...no wonder the cities hate each other

Japan took American pizza and brought it to another level.
I am Italian and I am half disgusted and half astonished.
Oh please, get over yourself. No one with an IQ above 50 considers American pizza "Italian" in any way.
Pizza was born in Italy, but it was brought here by Italian immigrants. They changed it to suit American tastes, thus it's American pizza, the same way Panda Express is American Chinese food.
There is absolutely no reason to be "disgusted".

I'm surprised that Domino's in Japan doesn't deliver with those little plastic tables that keep the lid from touching the toppings. That would have prevented the situation at 5:00!
I love how Japan does the pizzas with 4 different flavor combos. Have absolutely no idea how Japan does it but America doesn't xD
Joe seemed more pissed off in this episode in a world weary kind of way. Like he'd already sampled 10 pizzas that day before filming this (maybe he had if they did another episode on the same day?).
Also no US only pizza, though I'm not sure if there were any US only toppings. Japan's all toppings on one pizza has to be some sort of record.

In all fairness, those dips were COLD!!!! You have to eat them right away, or re-heat them. So were a lot of the other items that were reviewed.

@@JoeAvella, how about a Pita Pit Food War Episode? I work for one here in Kingston, On where Pita Pit was born and I know that there are differences between the USA and Canadian Menus. So it would be interesting to see if there are any from the UK to the USA or even if there is one in Japan. Love the show.

RE: "mille-feuille" pronunciation! the easiest, half-assed way to explain it is probably "meel-foy" to be honest. i mean, "foy" is definitely not *exactly* how "feuille" is pronounced *en français*, but i have genuinely NO idea how i would even begin to describe how it is hahaha

This may be an unpopular opinion, but I prefer my wings not be tossed (unless I'm doing it myself at home) because it allows for some crispy spots on the wings so they aren't soggy all over. I'm jealous of the eggs tarts, but I'm sure I can get better ones at the Asian market anyway. :D Love these videos - keep these comparisons coming!
I wouldn’t put Dominos Japan’s egg tarts less than an Asian Market’s egg tarts. Japan’s fast food is notoriously good, the quality is insane

I work at a US dominos and we recently discontinued the cheeseburger and chicken taco pizza within a franchise sales were rare and the items just sat around also oven baked dips don't sell well we get rare orders of them but I recommend picking them up as a carryout because they are amazing out the oven

It's also not 33cm as the finger/0cm is beyond the box fold and not actually measuring the pizza - might be fussy but the largest one ain't 13" still lol
The reason why the small pizza was cut into 8 slices in Japan and 6 slices in the USA is because 8 slices is too much for the average person and they cannot eat it all. Whereas 6 slices isn't as much and so is easier to consume. In Japan they have sumo wrestlers and they are able to eat all 8 slices on a 9 inch, whereas they would still be hungry with only 6 slices on the 10 inch.
uhm... i don’t think majority of the population is sumo wrestlers 😂 that would be dumb to make your sizes based on a few percentage of people 🤣

@@myu8319 yes, it's their way of counting with fingers (in Taiwan our way of showing 6 is with the thumb plus pinky, and 7 is the thumb plus the second finger- it doesn't mean L for Loser btw)

The egg custard tarts are actually a Portuguese dish that they exported to all of their various trading posts and colonial holdings, you will find them all over the world and since Portugal was one of the few European powers allowed to do business in Japan prior to 1854, Japan has custard tarts.
