Domino's India have deteriorated a lot over the years, their cheese burst doesn't burst anymore, stuffed garlic bread doesn't have cheese in it, and most importantly they don't use "cheese" anymore, it's all veg-oil based cheese substitute. Even their customer care and store staffs are not as good as before. I used to love Domino's before but now it's a nightmare.

They used to be great until they were a pizza-focussed chain. For some reason, they suddenly became obsessed with cheese some years ago and the actual 'pizza' fell behind. Its all cheese burst this, cheese filled that.

@FR4NKL1N COD MW3 i hate dominos when it comes to dining experience. I know, in the US eating pizza is taken with a rustic factory break type feeling but in India, eating pizza is fairly more of an occasion than a passing day snack.
But dominos sucks at maintaining the ambiance, and I see now I wasn't the only one hating it's taste. Problem is, everyone is offering subdstandard dough-ey chew-ey half baked pies with no flavours and just throwing cheese on top.
So what I used to do in college was to go into these Unlimited Pizza chains where they give you unlimited slices of 4-5 varieties of pizza along with 35-40 types of hot and cold sides along with coke and a one time serving of a dessert, all for 200-300 INR (3-4 USD)
Is the pizza better than what these chains offer? No, ever worse in some cases.
Do they taste better? Bang on buck if you found the right place
Is it healthy? Absolutely no. You could gobble more than 3k calories just by taking one-two servings of each item
But I went to these places once in two-three months on a good occasion and is a perfect birthday party venue for broke undergrads like me.

Before the Green Revolution in 1970s, famines wwre rampant in India. Although India is currently self-sufficient in terms food security, Indian agriculture is heavily dependent on the annual monsoon. A year of bad rain means bad harvest, which in turn leads to price rise of food articles due to shortage. Decreased sale of crops also leads to many farmers commiting suicide on being unable to pay their debts, because majority among them take loans from banks & moneylenders to buy farm equipments like machines, fertilisers, insecticides & seeds & they tend to repay their loans from the sale of crops, whatever meagre remains completely goes into sustaining the farmer's family, leaving very little to nothing to be saved for future. Subsidised food provided by both Central & state governments are an important lifeline to many underprivileged families in rural & urban areas. Hence all Indians (especially Hindus) regard food as a gift of God & believe that wasting food is equivalent to insulting God's grace. Unless you are a rich-spoilt brat or in excessive anger, no Indian will dare to spoil food.

As most of India's population is either Hindu or Muslim (and therefore can't eat beef or pork), restaurant chains with outlets in India (including Domino's and McDonald's) should consider involving fish, duck or lamb in their dishes more often.
