As someone living in the Philippines dominated by a lot of pork and beef-consuming Filipinos, I really am envious with the plethora of chicken burger options that McDonald's India offer. While our McDonald's items are most likely similar with American McDonald's, the McSpicy isn't a permanent menu option, leaving us only with a Crispy Chicken Sandwich and a McChicken. The rest are beef burgers, some breakfast items, more chicken and rice meals, plus a Spaghetti option (that KFC also offers because they really wanna directly rival Jollibee). That said, I don't understand people who despise Indian food and cuisine just because of the "unhygienic" videos that went viral on Facebook and TikTok - but looking at these items are more acceptable and actually "healthier" than the synthetic, chemically-induced patties that were made in factories. If I would have the chance, I would really try some items in McDonald's India -- especially the Majahara and the Paneer options.
As an Indian working in singapore , is is similar to America, there is a very distinct menu in McD and KFC , the seasoning is amazing in India sodium is a pro and con there , In singapore the few limited editions have that good seasoning, spicy great kicking flavor.
These two are hilarious. I've gone from watching these to be informed to watching them to be entertained! Nik has the best jokes we need to see more of him !
I love these comparisons so much! I don't understand why we don have a few international franchises, we have enough immigrants and people that seek out vegetarian options. I live in San Diego, I love Indian food, I would love to have an Indian McDonald's and the Mexico version as well, because they had so much awesomeness on their menu based off the video you guys made! I think the Japanese McDonald's was good too! It seems like our "American" franchises are done much better internationally! Heck even Costco in Japan had a sushi chef/sushi counter! 😱♥️
It's because McDonalds and other American and non native food places have to compete with already existing food places which are popular in these countries . So they have to get a bit more creative . McDonalds still failed in Vietnam though .

Exactly what I was thinking 😂 I was like what??? All the colonisers came to India because of spices and she here says portugese gave us a taste pallette 😂😂😂
i think she was talking about the chillis and tomatoes, which are an integral part of indian food (at least northern and western indian). all the chilli and tomatoes we use in india came here because of portuguese colonisation of south america (which is where all chillies and tomatoes are native to) and subsequent trading with the colonies.
@@gautamsingha3951 nope. the italians didn't use tomatoes before the portuguese introduced them there either! imagine having a pizza without tomato sauce lol. and not just that, potatoes were also introduced by the portuguese. global cuisines were very, very different before the discovery of the americas. but all this happened back in the 1700s/1800s, so a long time ago, which is why all these foriegn crops have become such an integral part of indian cuisine now and we can't imagine what food used to be like without them

I'm glad Nikhil mentioned the privilege we have at 23:00. Indians who speak English and appear on RUclips are really among a very small minority who live in urban areas of India. The price of the 2-person meal can feed a family of four in smaller towns with local food. Even upper middle class India doesn't very often eat out at western chains since we have a wide variety of Indian food available at less price. Things are changing now with the big tech companies, but again, that's only for a small section of the country who live in cities like Mumbai or Bengaluru. 700 million people or more still live under the poverty line and depend on government rations for survival.

Mega W opinion my man, you know what's up
That's some educated opinion my friend, kudos.
Just ask for buffalo sauce and add it to your classic chicken sandwich. I promise it's almost the same thing
As an Indian working in singapore , is is similar to America, there is a very distinct menu in McD and KFC , the seasoning is amazing in India sodium is a pro and con there , In singapore the few limited editions have that good seasoning, spicy great kicking flavor.

As a vegetarian British-Indian I can say the Maharajah is the best burger McDonald's has ever made and its a little infuriating that its not available in the UK.
I know! You would think McDonalds UK would want to tap into that market. But no.

"India is accustomed to Portuguese taste pallette". Ma'am, you need some serious history lessons on spice trades.

I like the fact that Nikhil mentioned how for must people even that amount is expensive. It's important to acknowledge this !!
But it’s not seen in the same light either, it is seen as an American theme restaurant in countries like this, a fun novelty like Hard a Rock Cafe. Generally it will be a family dinner, not a cheap drive thru option, same goes for KFC that has to take Christmas orders in advance because it is so popular on that day in South East Asia.

Mcdonald's operations in india is divided into west and south and east and north . HERE in west and south the menu has so many options and those are actually good
In Western shows, the immense size of the Indian continent is sometimes glossed over. I can’t quite get my little British head around how big it is. Makes sense that a business like this kind of treats it like 4 places
I LITERALLY SEARCHED for this video today and when it didn't show up I was like "oh that's weird. There's no mcd usa vs india" AND THEY RELEASED IT TODAY WTF

I had a Filet-O-Fish last year at a McDonald's in Delhi. It had an actual piece of fish unlike all other minced and overly processed chicken patties. It was soo good. As someone already said:- McDonald's does actually have 2 wildly different menus in India as there are 2 separate companies operating the McDonald's brand. The South(the one in the video) is currently offering quite a bit more but I didn't see Fillet-o-fish, so maybe the South doesn't offer it.
