Great video, going to a wedding rehearsal tomorrow and had a few things I was unsure of that were cleared up in this video! Once again thanks mate and keep it up!
As a wedding photographer I laughed at "we're going to do a confetti shot.......well......the photographer's going to do a confetti shot". Haha aye don't worry fella, we'll just herd those cats for ya! :-) Joking aside, really loving the content man, great work!
Thank you very much for sharing so much knowledge, personally it helps me a lot to clarify how to do things in wedding filming. Does a consultation always record only weddings? Greetings and many thanks again.
nice behind the scene video! part of what I like is how you show your creativity by giving us different approach on how you shot every single clip. May I ask the final video edit? Thank you sir!
Lovely video mate - quick question you use tripods for speeches but dont the cameras time out after 30 minutes of recording? Do you reset the recording after every speaker?
I always come back to these BTS videos before a shoot to get even more pumped😂 and I have my first solo shoot in a couple days😳 Quick questions, if you have a camera set up in the middle of the aisle like in this video, but you’re at the front with another camera, how do you make sure it isn’t in the way when the bride walks down the isle? Am I missing something lol
Hi lucas, good question. You’re quite right, I would usually position the second camera to the side slightly if it is going to be blocking the bride. Or I would shoot from the back with both if need be
When shooting the Ceremony on the monopod are you static (standing still) during the whole ceremony or do you move from side to side to capture the bride's face and the groom's face reaction?
@@AdamWingFilms Thanks, and you've mentioned about white balance (the moment with wedding dress) that you've set auto through out the day constantly. Could you please say few words about... Thanks!)
I like the wide shot at the ceremony at a low angle I’ll be trying this at my next wedding I just picked up the 85 and one Sony tx650 if it works I’ll be getting a few more I was going to get another dr10L but there 200 apiece anyways love the videos brother keep them coming.
Good work fella. Do you ever light anything? I film with Professional Sony camcorders but prefer a bit of light. Love your style and relaxed manor. Just filmed 2 weddings Friday & Saturday on my own. Love to see final piece. Cheers
No I just look for natural light and venue lighting to utilise. The Sony a7s low light is so good that it doesn’t bother me. Great stuff man! Drop me an insta message, I’ll link you 👍
Really enjoyed watching this video been looking for a uk type version of wedding film school and this video is very close. Any chance you could lower the background music a bit on the next one would rather be able hear what you say that hear the music. Subbed your channel and sent links to the rest of the Videographers i know cheers.
Awesome Adam, more bts!! 😎🤘 Love you're using slimmed down kit. Is that a manf befree for the locked off cam? On handheld - Do you keep IBIS on or off? Sorry for the million Qs 😁😁🤓🤓
@@AdamWingFilms Ah nice one buddy, Yeah I think that is a manf befree I saw in Currys on display the other day, actually pretty stable with a nice footprint. IBIS on? ah nice one, I'll have to work on technique as mine can look boxy when the IBIS has a funny 5mins, think it is me though. On A7iii too, not sure if that is anything to do with it.
@@AdamWingFilms It's not about flatness but the default Sony colors are very lifeless and bad. EOSHD Canon color gives it a life. If you have flat dead colors, when you add contrast they will just end up contrasted dead :)
mate i like your monopod looks light. I got the srui 424 its heavy, but lets see how its go with photo & video solo next week. i learned a lot from your videos. @walocortes
Doing my 1st solo wedding in a few weeks and this was very helpful!! Thank you!!
Thanks for watching mate!
Shooting my first wedding this weekend. This was super helpful and definitely boosted my confidence. Thank you!
That’s great to hear, good luck with it Tom!
Bro love these man. definitely the best out of anyone that does the BTS videos. you keep it so simple.
Woah thanks man, appreciate the compliment 🙏
Great bts.. I love it😍😍😍
Really glad you liked it! 😊

Ah that’s great to hear man! Enjoy the rehearsal
Would love to see the finished product from this BTS, which by the way is great! very informative as always...keep it up Adam.
Hit me up on Instagram mate, I’ll send it over
Great video, very helpful! Just wondered why you use the view finder so often? Is it simply to see better? Thanks again!
Hey thanks joe! Yeah I just like to see it better and focus my vision
Adam Wing - Wedding Filmmaker thanks for replying. I wasn’t sure if there was a more technical reason lol thanks again!
Great stuff mate.
Thanks mate! 🙏
my left ear loved the intro 😅
Shooting my first wedding in a week and a half and I was curious what fps you shoot at (25 and 50 or 24 and 60?)
50fps for everything
If you don't use a head on your monopod, how are you framing up your shots for the ceremony/toasts?
I screw straight onto the monopod and just film a static shot at the height of the mono. Don’t miss the head at all.
As a wedding photographer I laughed at "we're going to do a confetti shot.......well......the photographer's going to do a confetti shot". Haha aye don't worry fella, we'll just herd those cats for ya! :-) Joking aside, really loving the content man, great work!
Haha! Keep setting up those shots brother and I’ll steal em 😉 thanks mate.
How to shoot when bride walking to aisle? When using manual focus?

Direct message, I’m on Instagram
Love these BTS - please do more! Have just subbed, love the channel and your style. I'm from your neck of the woods. Great part of the country!
No way! Small world 😆 thanks man 👍
Lovely video mate - quick question you use tripods for speeches but dont the cameras time out after 30 minutes of recording? Do you reset the recording after every speaker?
The cameras are hacked to go beyond the 30 minute limit, but you could do this also as you say, just reset in between each speech.
Great job, clean and simple, I need to see the final edit Adam! -)
Hi, thanks a lot! Drop me a message on insta and I’ll get it over to you. 👍
Great video👍🏻
Thank you Jenny! 😊
Just used your Amazon affiliate link for the manfrotto monopod Adam. Saved myself 75 quid. Cheers fella.
Haha brilliant! 👌
Good stuff. I enjoyed this :)

Usually stay static at one side (especially in churches). I only move around to get both if there's an outdoor ceremony or PLENTY of space.

@@AdamWingFilms Cheers for the reply! Sound advise!
Great work Adam! Is it hard to manual focus focus by wire?
Thanks a lot for watching! Nah I’m well used to it now, just takes practice
Thanks for video!) You've mentioned at the beginning that set ISO for auto? Was it applied for video as well?) Thanks!
I set my second camera to auto iso for video yes
@@AdamWingFilms Thanks, and you've mentioned about white balance (the moment with wedding dress) that you've set auto through out the day constantly. Could you please say few words about... Thanks!)
Alexandr Kabir yes white balance is always set to auto I never change it.
Do you use lights Adam?
Nope. I rely on the low light capabilities of the sony.
For the speech in the church I saw the camera changed angles, was that your camera with the monopod or the camera on the tripod?
The tighter shot was with my monopod, the wide angle on tripod
I like the wide shot at the ceremony at a low angle I’ll be trying this at my next wedding I just picked up the 85 and one Sony tx650 if it works I’ll be getting a few more I was going to get another dr10L but there 200 apiece anyways love the videos brother keep them coming.

Great as always mate. Do you use ND filters at all to maintain a consistent shutter throughout all your shots?
Thank you as ever! Nope, I change the shutter speed all the time haha. Wasn’t the brightest day in fairness so didn’t need to go above 1/100 that much

Hey thanks very much! Glad you found us. Noted r.e the music. Thanks again my friend
do you never use a gimbal?
Nope, just static footage or handheld.
Idk how you keep such a steady hand! I use a GH5 and I'm always a little shakey when it comes to handheld
🤷♂️ practise I guess, the Sony’s in built stabilisation is brilliant as is the lens, so that does most of the work.
Is a72 good for video?
Yeah it’s solid, does everything you need!
That shot of the two guys walking towards the camera at 05:09 - was that manual focus still?
I could watch this stuff all day, thanks so much Adam!
You’re welcome mate, thank you! Yep everything is manual focus 👍
Great piece of work Adam..... do you shoot everything in 1080p and if so what frame rate?
Yes 1080p, 50fps.
Adam Wing - Wedding Filmmaker thanks for the info... so at 50fps do you keep your shutter speed at 1/100th and follow the 180 rule?
Nah. 1/100th minimum but I go all the way to 1/8000 if need be for exposure
Adam Wing - Wedding Filmmaker is that so you don’t have to use ND filters
Exactly
Nice shirt mate where did you get that?
Ted baker 🙂
What's your frame rate for bride walk down? 60fps?
50fps
Awesome Adam, more bts!! 😎🤘
Love you're using slimmed down kit. Is that a manf befree for the locked off cam?

Haha will keep em coming! It’s just a manfrotto travel tripod, about £30. Links in the description. IBIS on always 🤟

Super handy for travelling. Yeah not sure what the a7iii is like tbh..
You should install EOSHD Canon color, that image is as dead as zombie apocalypse :)
Ha! Nice metaphor. This is ungraded footage, hence the flat look. I’ll grade with filmconvert and colour corrections.
@@AdamWingFilms It's not about flatness but the default Sony colors are very lifeless and bad. EOSHD Canon color gives it a life. If you have flat dead colors, when you add contrast they will just end up contrasted dead :)
