Class this mate, as a videographer whos dabbled in weddings, gives me a lot of confidence I am doing the right thing also in how i shoot and tackle a wedding!
Loved this! It’s so so awesome to see someone with a successful business working minimally and having great relationships with your clients. I have the same drone and I was thinking of upgrading this year but like you say, it does the job for establishing shots. Would love to see a work flow of how you use stills for details (if you haven’t already done this). Keep them coming!!! Sian (truly madly films). 🙏🏼
Thanks for watching! Not too much has changed in terms of philosophy since the course, but hopefully this is a more up to date view point! (Probably need a new course 2.0)
I like the style of just run and gun, My last wedding i shot in december i used the gimbal alot, Do you think the gimbal is really necessary? Added weight etc. limitations?
Adam, three questions please: 1) Do you shoot slog3? If not, what do you shoot? 2) I noticed that you have set the 2.35:1 lines ( I believe that's what it is). Do you always aim to frame the main subject within those lines? 3) What happens when you don't have enough space on the front, in terms of the lens you use on your main camera (monopod)? Do you swap to say 35mm at all? BONUS question (lol): do you manual focus? For example, during bride entrance? TIA so much.
1) no, pp1 on the Sony cameras 2) yes I compose for those lines so I can see what the final shot will look like. 3) generally not, I’d just physically move back, I’ve never been in a situation where the 55mm Is unusably tight. For the ceremony for example, if it was really that tight, I’d probably consider filming from the back.
@ mate fair play, I'm watching your content now instead of making a social reel I was editing. It takes so much commitment when you have weddings to edit and a family in top! 😂
@@AdamWingFilms Outstanding! I don't know if you could tell us what do you deliver to your clients? the 4 min video of course, but do they expect the dances? Ceremony etc?
How you film handheld like a photographer is beyond me! I just can't do it, my footage is just too shaky. I use a gimbal or monopod. How you bring just a backpack gezzz. I bring to roller bags and light stands. ❤
Always great inspiration these BTSs. I have a couple of weddings booked in so far this year and so excited now to get going on them. Cheers Adam. Just a couple of questions… what make is your camera backpack…. And had Uncle Howard dyed his hair?! 😉🤣
@@AdamWingFilms Thanks Adam...it's a cool bag. I did have to pause the video to check if it was Howard...haha. I've not yet experienced a full blown wedding singer/entertainer yet. Must be fun for sure though! 😀
Getting the popcorn and drinks ready for this! Great to see these back in my subscriptions feed!
Good to be back Craig! Hope you enjoy haha

My pleasure, thanks for watching!

Yay! Another BTS - loooove this! And I think the MUA is one of your brides (recognise her lovely film - County Donegal?) :)
Yes! Gold star for you ⭐️
@@AdamWingFilms haha super fan! :)
Great to see you doing this again! We need more of us UK wedding videographers doing this 😉
Thanks Sam, good to be back. Yeah I’m all for that too!
The main man is back! Love watching the BTS before every wedding season starts! Gives that inspiration and makes me Look forward the new season!🔥

Cheers Rob, hope it is helpful and glad you’ve got something out of it
What sling camera strap is that? Looks great
It’s from an Italian company called “barbershop”
I like the style of just run and gun, My last wedding i shot in december i used the gimbal alot, Do you think the gimbal is really necessary? Added weight etc. limitations?
No I don’t use a gimbal, find it better to be handheld and in the moment

Bonus question!; yes everything is manual focus
Loved watching the BTS as always Adam. Creating all the content is hard work so thank you!
Cheers Dan 🫶 they are a ball ache to edit together I’ll be honest 🤣

@danieljohnson4193 get your reel done! 🤣
Do you have some sort of camera stabilization? Thank you Adam!
Just the IBIS in the camera and then tripods/monopods. Everything else is handheld
@@AdamWingFilms Outstanding! I don't know if you could tell us what do you deliver to your clients? the 4 min video of course, but do they expect the dances? Ceremony etc?
A 15 minute edit as well as this one, and the ceremony and speeches in full

Haha, I like to be lightweight and nimble I guess. That and I wouldn’t know where to start with light stands!

Brilliant stuff Tim, hope they go well 👊
Haha! Paul the singer here, is a friend of Howard’s actually, they’ll laugh at this 😂
The bag is Compagnon

It is fun, most running around I do all day! 🤣
