Overall: pretty cool mod. Now this is just personal taste, but I'd ease up on the tilt and zoom on the showroom camera, and I would love to see a background for the prize car screen. But still: cool mod, keep it up! 👍 And I love the transmission changes.
honestly id say the main gripe i have with everything youve shown, is the camera in dealerships is a tad too close- some cars seem to get cut out partially or almost halfway. smaller cars like a pugeot seem fine but theres a lot i can see would get cut off a lot, hard to appreciate beauty if you cant see it all. otherwise its really interesting seeing what youre doing with GT4!
can give it a look but cant promise as currently checking garage data slows things down so navigating is a bit slower with full garage double checking may make things worse
I'm not really sure about this, back when i started playing GT4 (as the size of a fire extinguisher) one of my favourite pastimes was to just spend hours upon hours looking at the cars, although now i dont think GT4 Spec II would be anyone's first experience with racing games, though
this is not in any way affiliated with Spec II. i know thats going to be the most popular mod but mine is a seperate project. i didnt give mine a name yet but i believe that causes some confusion between people so that they ask about it. youre right on the point of not thinking it will be one's first experience. my project aims for the maximum difficulty possible for every event including licence tests, aiming to be challenging for experienced drivers and frustrating for casual ones.
@@AveragePootis no? why would i? i think everyone who are messing with this game is happier when their stuff is kept seperate. sure there will be mutual things, some similar things but mostly different things. no project is my business and my project is no other modder's business
@@hatersbby Because a general modpack with toggleable options would be far more convenient for the end customer and the mod makers, considering how niche gran turismo 4 modding is
@@AveragePootis my mod wont work with spec ii anyway, too many contradicting things. even if it did i would keep it seperate. there are 4 projects going on afaik, ask any creator about putting their work under someone else's and you will get the same response :D brainstorming, figuring out bits, tooling are openly made but a collab mod, no way. i think i should make an intro for an upcoming video because due to Spec II's popularity i get questions about it so i need to clarify for everyone. also, you cant enable/disable mods with toogle method.
it got a slight buff. to help you see the vents, look at hood, roof scoop, exhausts and side skirt. the yellow one's vents arent pitch black while the other two colors are correct
One thing I like about GT 4 is the feeling of collection that the game has, in career mode you can release more cars to race in arcade mode, I focused on this and now I have about 708 cars in arcade mode haha, the only boring part It's these old cars that are blocked from buying at the original dealership and have to wait for a chance to appear at the historical showroom
This might be a controversial idea but I like the idea of having most locked dealership cars (save for concepts, probably) be unlocked and purchaseable once unlocked, if we go for the whole "you can only win cars once" approach like GT3. Main reason for this being so players don't just completely lock themselves out of 100% completion because they sold a car necessary for completing certain events.
If this gets released I'll literally never leave my room again
thank you
Spec II mod then this. Man, what a great time to be alive, knowing GT4 is still loved by many, many people.
You've done an excellent job on this mod so far. I would love to see it get released sometime in the future.
I wish all the prize cars that couldn´t be bought were hidden in the original game, so they would not spoil the surprises :>
Also tell me what have you seen interesting that I didnt show explicitly :)
the car thumbnails/how they rotate?
they were introduced before @@Smolflake
@@hatersbby oh
Being able to choose the colour for your price car is a neat little touch
Lemme guess, the Time Trial Hall at around 0:43, right?

The GTHD/GT5 rotating car animation is toooooo good. Like I've said in the past :))

its explained in a previous video but in GTHD that rotation was like that.
Yous should make it so that it says how you can unlock it

Car shopping music is dope

I don't get it. What about the vents with the Saleen S7? What is changing?
they didnt make those vents black on the hood, roof and side skirt. it looks like they are closed in the original
@@hatersbby Ahhh... now i can't unsee it. Thanks! And damn.
Are you using Spec2 mod?
(Just a question)
no, this is something seperate
What about being able to test a car before buying?
everything is available in arcade mode so thats your testground
i saw no difference between the yellow s7 vents and the silver s7 vents lol.
edit: 905 needs that smooth shifting fix too LOL

Awesome, mate! If only they’d thought of that back in 2003 or so.
the car is definitely locked
childhood me is drooling
Are you going to release this?
one day
Loving the development of the mod, so many cool things

you can always sell it, just do it at the right time
I thought we could see the cars there even for ones we can't buy because it was a "showroom model".
you could but now they are "unveiled" to you when you win them
can this run on original ps2?
yes
is this also present on vainilla gt4?
Looks sick!!!!!!!!!!!!
GT4.5???
