I'm still wondering where the texture mod cars are. Like, I think now maybe we're starting to get full mods in game, of cars and textures? But for a while it had been possible to use PCSX2 texture swapping at least. And with any possibility of duplicating cars (as it is possible in GT6 as I've seen) and changing the textures of the "clone", one could make things like this. I even thought about going a bit silly where the limitations show and make some weird, mirrored "UNITIИU" designs for brands to put on street cars with tex-modded race liveries, like some license plates of cars on GT for PS1, paired with modded spoilers to make race mods.

The ultimate mod for these unique wheels, as well as used car wheels from other models (that I don't know if it's possible, just saying it would be awesome), would be a system like in GT5 and newer where it's limited by sizes that fit the cars, sizes that those wheels were actually made in (reason why it felt there were so few options in GT5. There were fewer, but they also varied by car), including increasing rim size and reducing tire profile for more options, like in GT6 and up. Imagine your car comes with 14in wheels, and you can only fit wheels from cars that had 14in, 15in or 16in wheels, but there's a bunch of options shown for your model, sorta like a list generated as you enter the shop with a certain car. Maybe with a "seed" based on your in-game day.

If you want to balance progression, any prize cars that are shown on the dealership in "Special Cars" should be showroom models, some that are less rare than others could be purchasable, but not all. Most of these should appear, albeit rarely, on used car lots, like how it already works in the game, but expanded, with more models appearing (basically if it would make sense for it to appear on the Legendary Cars showroom from GT7, it should be a very rare find on the used auto dealers in here). Try distributing single race series prizes into championships and endurances instead, with more possible prizes per event.. if possible, since I don't know how many prize cars there actually are, so if not, make them an only once prize, but all, again, should rarely appear on UCD. Try having prizes you only earn once be very rare, one of a kind vehicles, like with prototypes or extremely rare vehicles like the Model T and Benz Patent Wagen. Put more prize cars in championships, with random chance. Aren't there some manufacturer event's prize cars just unique paints? Those could also be a rare sight on UCD, so that actually rare car models are put as prizes on those that have championships.

On the original GT4 version, it has massive turbo lag.

In my opinion, it's way too zoomed in. I get the feeling that a better approach would be to combine Gran Turismo's typical showroom zoom and angle with zoomed in details, so that we get the best of both worlds. Please don't take this as a hate comment; I can only assume this took you ages to code/set up.

bro on pcsx2 you can remove the garbage at the bottom of the screen by cropping 5 pixels on each axis in the graphics -> display settings.

This looks so bad, it looks purposely zoomed in, and the showroom looks even worse, who makes a spinning top view car clip, I do think you're going on a good road though, you just gotta redo it

This is great for people who makes custom livery using pcsx2's texture replacement and appreciating the details on car models

this is awesome, but i got some suggestions, first on the showroom mode the car could rotate slower so we could see the details better, and second the texts on the top of the screen could disappear so the only thing on screen is the car and the text on the bottom, but overall that's nice work
