So upgrading to a 15 with 60hz will feel like i missed out on so much.
If you only want 120hz and don't care about the other Pro features, I would try to hold out for another year. It's very likely the base models will get a refresh rate bump next year.
Personally, I'm not buying 15 ONLY because it lacks 120hz but I also won't buy 15 Pro because I don't need all those extra features for 250€ extra. Apple, JUST PUT 120hz in those regular iPhones and let people who care about it be happy, god damn it...
Many people seem content with 60hz, but it's disappointing that Apple charges $800 for a phone with that refresh rate. So that is why Apple have a good reason to scam more people with iPhone 16, to be honest, it's the people's fault, not the company because they are happy to be scammed.

@@bprabawabr Probably true but Apple is famously late to the game when it comes to bringing cutting edge features and a lot things trickle down to the standard iPhones so you never know. Maybe they give the standard iPhones 90 Hz one day. Their "Pro" features just don't have that "wow" factor anymore. The A17 Pro chip was not as exciting as the rumors suggested even tho it's on a 3nm process. Smartphone cameras all seem relatively great these days due to good software and hardware combinations. Apple really needs a new trick up their sleeves or the Pro phones will be even harder to sell. That’s a good question, because I have the 13 pro. What I took into consideration was the safety features. Crash detection, satellite in case of emergency roadside assistance, and the fact your emergency contact will be notified.
The only reason to buy the Pro Model that really counts is the 120Hz refresh rate Display. It’s my first 120Hz Display after 6 years of iPhone 8 Plus and that alone was worth the higher price. I won‘t go back to lower refresh rate Displays. However … my mother got the iPhone 15 in green and it’s a great value imho. Unless you’re not a hardcore gamer or video-/photographer, the regular iPhone 15 will do the job. Therefore it’s all about the display for the majority of customers which will really impact the iPhone experience.
I have just seen the 2 phones in the shop and the only difference I cared about was the Macro on the Pro. The 15 didn't have it. My eyes aren't what they used to be and if I have difficulty focusing on something very small you can see it on the screen as plain as anything. Something for me to think about.
If the iPhone 16 Pro next year will get a 6.3 inch Super Retina OLED display, then they can put a bigger battery as the battery life is below avg compared to competitors. In terms of the triple camera set-up, hope they use bigger sensors. Keep the 3x or 75 mm telephoto cam, it acts as a default portrait lens. If Apple wants to upgrade the 16 series then, they better do. ‘Cause it'll be like, “ it's the same freakin' thing”.

As a matter of fact , the IPhone Pro model has Pro motion up to 120hz when you get used to believe you won’t buy standard phone up to 60hz anymore. You’ll see it. About memory ram is quite important in any device you you can navigate smoothly and fast paced So if you got the budget, go get Pro.
If u havent seen 120Hz before, you won’t even care about it. But once you see it and use for 5-10 mins, you won’t want to go back to 60Hz. Basically if u only use a 60Hz screen then your life will not change without 120Hz😂
I’ve used both types of displays. Personally, I do notice the difference in smoothness. However, when I switch back and forth, 60 hz still looks smooth enough to me. I know some people will say that once you get a 120 hz phone, you can’t go back. I disagree. Your eyes will readjust to where 60 hz will look smooth. Overall, while I do notice 120 hz being smoother, I just don’t care about it; and I wouldn’t recommend spending $200 more just for that tech spec.
I think the deal breaker for me is for the screen, since if you use a high refresh rate screen before it makes me feel like 60hz low quality specially paying already a lot for the base model either way its still a great phone but the screen refresh rate is the deal breaker for me
I don't know if I wanna get the 15 or 14 pro ( I can get them for the same price ) really don't know how much of a difference the 24mp, or missing 3x ,usb-c or the bad battery on the 14 pro, difference in 120vs60 hz will make. Does anybody has any advice ?
If it’s the same price get the 14 pro. More durable stainless steel. Telephoto lenses. Same processor. And 120 hz makes a huge difference day to day feels way snappier. The battery is apparently same from 14 pro to 15 anyway. I don’t see a disadvantage.
I know that the iPhone 15 pro is obviously the better choice if we're talking about 15 pro vs 14 pro, but im talking about the 14 pro vs the normal 15 and I think the photo's on the 15 are the same if not better (it also has automatic portret when there is a human, cat,dog and hdr5 instead of HDR4) from what I've seen, but the thing that I'll be missing is I think the 3x zoom and macro mode@@alexanderdaoud2131
The regular one costs you additional money if you upgrade every year because of trade in values. For example, a 14 is worth 430. A 14 pro is worth 570. But if you had a 14pm you get 650. If you trade in every year you are spending an extra 50-100 dollars for a pro.
I went from an S23 Ultra to a base 15. I don’t miss the extra horsepower. I like the colors more, the camera is stellar, and I never use zoom. It’s much lighter, the Dynamic Island is pretty neat, and over all, it’s a joy to use. The pro is fine and all, but it’s just too bland for the price. I have a pc for gaming. I just need a good mobile device. The base model is more than enough.
I have a Samsung S24 Ultra as my private phone and the regular iPhone 15 as a business phone. I don't care for 120 Hz, both displays are really good. Wide and ultrawide cameras are very similar, I don't see much of a difference here. The Galaxy has the additional lenses and the iPhone is lacking a full manual camera mode, but that's only an issue for hobby photographers. For most users I'd say you don't need anything more than the standard iPhone 15.

@@adamg574 i upgraded from the xs to the 11, then, 12, then the 13, and then the 15
Im trying to upgrade from my iphone 12 mini and im having a hard time deciding between the 15 and 15 pro. The only thing thats making me want to upgrade to the 15 pro is that 120hz refresh rate which, if you've seen it in person, you will know how smooth it is. So upgrading to a 15 with 60hz will feel like i missed out on so much.
I want to upgrade as well. I'm just afraid the regular 15 isn't much a upgrade, so I am leaning towards the pro.
If you only want 120hz and don't care about the other Pro features, I would try to hold out for another year. It's very likely the base models will get a refresh rate bump next year.
Same here i have 11 but i think i would go to pro because i use the phone alot , i have alot of data , so i need very strong phone
What phone did you end up getting?
Personally, I'm not buying 15 ONLY because it lacks 120hz but I also won't buy 15 Pro because I don't need all those extra features for 250€ extra. Apple, JUST PUT 120hz in those regular iPhones and let people who care about it be happy, god damn it...
Same prob. Here but what we can do we know apple is a money hungry company 😑
Many people seem content with 60hz, but it's disappointing that Apple charges $800 for a phone with that refresh rate. So that is why Apple have a good reason to scam more people with iPhone 16, to be honest, it's the people's fault, not the company because they are happy to be scammed.
120hz for what? for scrolling?
@@mandalorianroby2542 for everything, scrolling opening and closing apps, smoother animation, faster navigation.
@@mandalorianroby2542 Yes, for overall smoothness. Just like back in the days smartphones were laggy and it didn't feel good, nowadays 60hz doesn't feel good compared to 120hz.
I bought the iphone 12 when it launched and still don't feel compelled at all to upgrade. The main difference would be the much brighter screen of course, but I don't often use my phone when outside in the first place. My 12 is still plenty fast for making phone calls, texting, playing music, and watching youtube. Actually I can't tell the difference in speed between the 12 and 15 even when side by side...gonna wait longer then grab the SE 4
The only concern with the 12 would be the radiation.
Wym radiation?
@@FreeEpics sale of the iphone 12 is banned in france because it emits more radiation than their law allows. It obviously doesn’t emit a dangerous amount of radiation, but…yea
You’re a simple user like myself. Love that. I’m the type to typically keep my iPhone until it starts lagging or dies on me. I also had the base model 12 but upgraded to take advantage of T-Mobile’s promo. Only difference you’ll really notice is camera & battery between the phones and having to switch out the lightning cable to usbc which is okay. I do miss my 12 but only cause I felt I could have gotten a couple more years of use out of that thang, but in order to get the promo we had, we had to trade it in 🥲 but nonetheless, I’m very happy w my base model 15 in blue. The battery & camera is great!
You’re a simple user like myself. Talking, texting, surfing the web lightly, & just for music. I also had the base model 12 and coming from that, I had a 6s. I just upgraded recently to the base model 15 in blue to take advantage of tmobiles promo. Honestly the only thing you’ll really notice is battery life and camera quality being immensely improved. Imo I still could’ve gotten more years off of my iPhone 12.(I miss it lol) Nonetheless I’m very happy w my 15. It was a trouble for me having to switch out all the cables at home tho since the 15 is no longer using the lightning cable but not much of a huge deal either. (:

Iphone 15 after 4 weeks
Iphone 15 after 2 month
And then: Stop ! Dont buy any iPhone Right now !🤯

well it works if your here watching it ;)
If the iPhone 15 Plus had Pro Motion I would have upgraded to that instead of the 15 Pro Max. I literally don't care about any of the other upgrades the iPhone 15 Pro Max has over the 15 Plus but I can definitely see the difference between Pro Motion and 60 Hz.
Comments like this actually disincentivizes Apple from giving the base models more than 60Hz. Why would they, if they can make people pay more to get it?
Btw, I have nothing against you or your comment.. Just stating the cause and effect!
I think they did a good job with the 15, and 15 Plus this year but I, like many others, have been spoiled by Pro Motion. It's hard to go back.
tic tok and you tube aren’t 120
Went with the 15plus, the whole 60Hz versus the Pro Motion (coming form a 13Pro) actually isn't nearly a big deal as some state... I, after 2 weeks now, do not even notice it. And this Battery is perfect, with no heating issue and that action button wasn't enough for me to pay 3-500 more for the Pro... 15Plus for the win here...
the reason I picked the pro is because, pro motion and more camera, it's my first iphone having pro model, I just love it!
What do you mean pro motion?
Btw, the 15 pro black looks so good!
I went with the pro (max) for two reason and two reasons alone: titanium design (stainless steel 14 pro max was too damn heavy) and ProMotion. The moment the standard iPhone gets ProMotion is the movement I’ll get that standard models again
Why didn’t you get the pro. It’s 200 dollars cheaper, is lighter, and has promotion.

Who on a budget will get a new iPhone 15?
They would consider a brand new iPhone 13 instead or a used 13PM
Looks like you forgot to compare battery life. Having had both the 15 and 15 Pro, I can say that the 15 has significantly longer battery life than the 15 Pro.
When you say significantly, under heavy use, what was your screen time // battery life?
Did you skip the battery or did i miss it?
I lean toward simplicity and minimalism, unless I have a compelling reason to go more complicated. I am getting the 15.

Would an iPhone 15 pro phone case fit an iPhone 15 phone
If I am not wrong, there are only 3 differences between 15 and 15 pro
Display, camera, processor
Spigen cases are so amazing. been using them on all my iphones over the last 10+ years and have never had my screen crack from all diffrent hight drops. I will never buy any other phone case from another brand.
Are you seriously saying that those pale colours (shades of white) look “premium”?
Actually, seeing them in person makes a difference. Not all are my cup of tea (I have the pink 15 plus and it is beautiful) . Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. 😊
I have the 15. I think it looks NICE. I don’t think it looks PREMIUM. The concept of something “looking premium” is just strange to me.
Subtle stuff are usually more sophisticated and thus increase its perceived value
Should I get the 15 or the 15 plus just I’m not a huge gamer (Ik he did not go over it but still)
I'm upgrading to 15 pro from 13 pro. Is it a good upgrade?
That’s a good question, because I have the 13 pro. What I took into consideration was the safety features. Crash detection, satellite in case of emergency roadside assistance, and the fact your emergency contact will be notified.
So did you update?@@margaritaramos3393
A huge difference on bezel width? At least on camera, it isn't significant enough

The 15 series has one of the best battery lifes on the market what do you mean?
@@LobasDischargeI'm talking about the 15 Pro and all recent Pros not the 13,14,15 Pro Max(as they have great battery life). Not the 14 & 15 Plus(best battery life on an iPhone).
Even the 15 outperforms the 15 Pro in battery life.
Is there a really huge difference between 120 and 60 Hz displays? Those who had both, can you share your opinion?
If u havent seen 120Hz before, you won’t even care about it. But once you see it and use for 5-10 mins, you won’t want to go back to 60Hz. Basically if u only use a 60Hz screen then your life will not change without 120Hz😂
u won't wanna go back to 60
I’ve used both types of displays.
There is no difference between 60 and 120 you will not notice it
Yes it’s a massive difference but only discernible if you have 120hz on something else or experience with it. I wouldn’t go back.
i'll be getting the pro soon. upgrading from XR. ty for the vid
The 15pro and 15pro max will probably also be supported by software for a year or two longer than the base model 15s! :)
Dosen't matter if you only keep it for five years..
Nope they get the same software, pro doesn’t mean longer support. That’s how you lose customers
I think the deal breaker for me is for the screen, since if you use a high refresh rate screen before it makes me feel like 60hz low quality specially paying already a lot for the base model either way its still a great phone but the screen refresh rate is the deal breaker for me
I don't play games or need a marginally better camera. Titanium is also a worse thermal conductor than aluminum. For these reasons I went with the 15.
ONLY if the standard model had 120hz or 90hz...
Tbh when i saw the standard 15 in black i was immediately in love with it unlike the pro, although i always loveed the way the pro looked.

The regular one costs you additional money if you upgrade every year because of trade in values. For example, a 14 is worth 430. A 14 pro is worth 570.
But if you had a 14pm you get 650.
If you trade in every year you are spending an extra 50-100 dollars for a pro.

Just enroll iPhone upgrade program and never worry about trade-in pricing
you defiantly get more value for trade ins with a regular iPhone 14 to an iphone 15 considering the price. the ratio for a pro just isn’t that good.

Is it worth getting the Pro just for the Titanium??

Never knew there was such a need for gaming on your phone
