Honestly speaking, phones are so similar now, that you don't notice any differences. I have a 13 pro max and used the 16 pro max for 4 days and it wasn't much different at all to my 3 year old phone. So people went from upgrading every 1-2 years, to every 3-4 but personally, I wouldn't upgrade, even if I had an 11/12 pro max. Because it really isn't that much different. 11 maybe, because of the shape and size. But I liked the 11 pro max. That was a nice feeling phone. Nowadays, a person should take care of their phone. Don't charge it to 100% or don't let it go below 20% and your phones battery health will be fine and then you don't need to update until the phone stops supporting software updates. So if you even have an XS max. Hold onto it for one more year and then upgrade to the 17. The 17 will have a smaller dynamic island, 24mp front camera, 48mp telephoto camera, possibly some vapor cooling chamber inside it and maybe a new and improved main lens. Since we've had the same one since the 14 pro max. So 3 iPhones in a row. Maybe that will get some upgrades next year and also 12gb of ram is also rumoured. So having all those upgrades is worth hanging on to the XS Max or newer. The regular 16 pro, will feel like an 11 pro max. Because of the similarities in size. I miss the 11 pro max design. It was so nice to hold that
@@ssofianos 17 won't get a new design. It'll still be the same. Just updated telephoto lens and selfie camera and smaller dynamic island. Maybe under display face ID. They won't change the design. There will be the same fidget spinner design camera layout for at least 2 more years. 17 & 18. In 3 years, it'll be the 20th anniversary. That's their opportunity to change the design. The perfect design change would be to go from 3 camera to 2. Not 4, but 2. Let me explain this. Sony has this continuous optical zoom, where that one lens can go from 3.5x all the way to 7.1x. There is no digital zoom in between. So imagine apple or Samsung or even pixel did this. Where it goes from 2/3x all the way to 5/6x. The only digital zoom would be from 1-2/3 and beyond 5/6. So one continuous optical zoom lens and one main sensor, that could also go ultra wide. To take it a step further, we hope to see just a single lens. A big circle that's 2 times the size of current phones lens. A lens that does it all. 0.5x to 10x imagine no digital zoom from 0.5x all the way to 10x and then after that, it goes to digital. That is a genuine game changing feature I've also heard that all smartphones must have removal batteries by 2027. So 20th anniversary iPhone that is the perfect opportunity to add that to their design to. The jump from the iPhone 7 to the iPhone X was big. But the next jump won't be as big, but they can try. But how cool would it be to slowly go back to less and less lens. 2 and then 1 lens that does it all. That's the future. Maybe we'll see a 1-144hz screen. Maybe we'll finally get to 1440p a full quad HD display. IPhones have slowly been going towards 1440p from 1080p for years now and they're on like 1290p or something. Maybe by then the under display front camera will be ready. There's plenty now, but poor camera quality. Maybe in 3 years it'll be ready. Or, they might need more time to perfect it. Maybe an apple version of a foldable phone will release in 2027. What Huawei have done with the double fold looks insane. Can't wait to see a Samsung version that will probably cost £2.5k-£3k
The thing is , you’ve only been using the new model for 4 days , you cannot possibly appreciate all the improvements in such a short time. I remember getting the 14 pro max using it the next day thinking , bloody hell I should have stuck with my faithful old 12 pro max for another year or two. But as time went on , I could definitely see worthwhile improvements to the 14 which I appreciated , and to this day I love my 14 pro max .
I upgraded from the xs max and am not impressed. It feels the exact same and I’m thinking of taking it back. I thought there would be major improvements… boy was I wrong. Just wasn’t the upgrade I hope it was.
Just got my wife the basic 256gig 16 in pink, a BIG upgrade from her 64gig 12mini which she absolutely loved but didn’t have the storage she needs being an avid photographer/pintrester. I have the 13pro and thought about upgrading myself… having always gotten the pro models I was STRONGLY advised by my brother in law who manages a couple of Apple stores to wait for next year… completely different design, more premium build materials, better range of colours and more affordable. So that’s what I’m doing..
I‘m a student and on a budget but need to upgrade my old IPhone 11. Most important things to me are the battery life and the camera. I would buy the 256gb version I don‘t like big phones. Should I buy the IPhone 16 or 16 pro?
It honestly doesn't make much sense to upgrade from iPhone 14 plus to iPhone 15 plus.....yes, iPhone 15 plus has a better camera and dynamic island, but still not worth upgrading...so go for phone 16 plus...in fact if u have the budget, go for the iPhone 16 pro
I'd probably keep the 14+ and wait for the 17. I don't have a 14+, but a colleague does . She loves the battery life on her 14+ and has found her phone extremely reliable
The thing is… the A16 is two years old, since it was first introduced in the iPhone 14 Pro. The 15 inherited it, and the 15 pro got the A17. Of course on paper it seems a very important difference between the 15 and 16 but that has to be taken into consideration.
Upgrade from 8plus. Should i go with 16 or try to get 15prm I used 14prm but it is to heavy 60hz is not the big promblems because i cant feel the different between 8plus and 14 prm
ok why though - reasoning? this is what i’m here for. appreciate your simple answer but would still like to know a couple reasons as to why you say so.
@@00zarzu00 Iphone 15 is relatively new, you get most from it, so if you made your purchase already then no need to worry about the 16. But if you are yet to buy one, go for the newer 16 series, even though 15 will be available at a discount, 16 wii offer more features like AI, better battery backup, longer support from Apple.
@@kjjr3270 that’s a waste of money. It’s not worth an entire upgrade. I had an SE second generation with the iOS 18 update. My battery was draining pretty quickly. I love my SP. The only reason I am upgrading to the iPhone 16 is because I am a diamond member and I get a free phone.
To be honest I would recommend the 15 pro above the 16. Well the biggest difference is the cc-button. But to be honest how many times do you use it. Thanks for all the details.
Nice video. Interesting your perspective is a bit different than some of the other reviewers. I agree, some really great improvements were made, and 70 percent bump for frame rates is insane in 2024.

I love this button because you have to see it as a shortcut and not ad a button. The menu you can open is TOUCH! And when you tap on the display to choose the function, it’s pretty simple and comfortable. Using the zoom from that function tapping on the display is incredible. Nobody talk about this, nobody show this… why? Nobody discover this possibility? 😅😜
Pixels take slightly better photos ( only slightly ). I own a pixel and Apple phone. Apple phones do have more polished camera features/ interface though, like a proper EV slider ( with numbered exposure values) that actually works and the post processing doesn't override adjustments made . The EV slider and other camera features on pixels are unreliable and not as polished as Apple's. Apples post processing isn't as aggressive and what you see on the display is what you get when the photo is processed .

16 is better than the 13 in every way, but only a little. I'd say get the new phone if you are OK with the price, your iphone 13 is slow, and if you like the camera.
I'm just shocked people are still apparently OK spending money for a sub par display for an almost 1000$ device. 60hz in 2024 is absolutely ridiculous even if iOS manages to look more smooth than Android with their animations.
Performance are incredible and all the other new features/improvements are quite good, people have just unrealistic and non technically feeling about new devices.

Why is USB-2 a problem? Who is really transferring data by cable? I have done that last time when you had to sync your iPhone with iTunes.
It does make transferring videos to an SSD faster, but I originally bought the external SSD for my iPad Mini, so it’s still kinda useless because iCloud syncs the video to my iPad anyways.
The screen of 15 is better and brighter compared to the 16 ! Exactly like the 14 pro and 15 pro compared to the 16 pro … don’t mention the thermals because in real indoor life the 16 is way dimmer than the 15
TBH, IN DAILY LIFE NO ONE IS GONNA USE THOSE HI TENSED GAMES GRAPHICS OR MAYBE THE AI FEATURES, IF WE CARE ABOUT DAY TO DAY USAGE LIKE LISTENING TO MUSIC, MOVIES, A LITTLE BIT OF GAMING OR SCROLLING INSTAGRAM 15 IS A FANTASTIC CHOICE WITH ALMOST SAME FEATURES AND LESSER PRICE.
I think that if you were to compare the results from geekbench 6 between iPhone 15 with iOS 17 and iPhone 16 with iOS 18, the differences would be smaller. It is clear that Apple must somehow reduce the "raw" performance of the previous device by a few percent.
Just looking at the shots of the eyes , not meaning to be picky ( but I must 😊), the shot on the left doesn’t look terrible but I’ve seen better , and the shot on the right, the eye is slightly out of focus I think , however the lash is in focus . As someone that does experiment with up close photography on occasion , it’s been my experience sometimes smaller lenses do a better job up close , bigger lenses often have a larger minimum focus distance , my 6 year old Galaxy note for macro in decent lighting can give some of my newer wiz bang phone cameras a good run for their money. I like to pick a large size shiny nickel plated coin that has done some miles and shoot the best macro shots I can get with a variety of cameras , the amount of detail you can see in a shiny old coin is amazing.
no need to watch if you got into the first 30sec of the video. I was pretty clear where you are heading to for conclusion without getting deep into the technical...
The camera bump on the 16 looks terrible, the colours look cartoon-ish ,looks like a kids toy, it's not worth it , the 15 is definitely the way to go it looks expensive.
Heck no! You’re the first person I’ve heard say that. 16 is WAY better imo There was never a reason Apple needed to make cameras diagonal except for standing out. But there’s no denying vertical orientation just looks cleaner. And Ultra Marine smokes the pastel colors of last year

Why don't you charge it too 100 or below 20?
Please do camera comparison between 16 pro max vs 15 pro max
great video. i'm upgrading from the 15 to the 16 because i love the color and the case that matches it, and i'm a tech junkie.
I appreciate your wife's patience with you 😂
Thank you for this valuable information bro.
Your brother in law doesn't know what hes talking about, nothing's getting cheaper
@@newsnetworkzshe sure is, your wife’s pretty patient with me too! 😉👍
@@mohkg1017Think I might take the Apple big wigs word over your thought and opinions fella. No hard feelings I hope!
Shall I upgrade from old midrange Android phone to iphone 16 256GB.? 🤔
I‘m a student and on a budget but need to upgrade my old IPhone 11. Most important things to me are the battery life and the camera. I would buy the 256gb version I don‘t like big phones. Should I buy the IPhone 16 or 16 pro?
Probably just the 16 if you just need a phone.
Regular 15
@@Angrod98 nah at this point just get the 16. 15 ain't getting apple intelligence and other features
@@kjjr3270 it’s getting everything but the useless Apple intelligence. Like what? That’s the only difference.
Currently have iPhone 11 and want to upgrade should i get iPhone 16 or i phone 15
Same here, XS is still running strong but thinking about upgrading.
should i get the 15, 15 pro or 16
7:50 you said typically generation to generation, but this one skipped a generation and that’s why it’s 35% improvement
I love how people were complaining about that song and you were like nah I’m gonna keep using it 😎
i have the iPhone 14 Plus and i want an upgrade.Should i get the 15 plus or 16 plus?Which is the best
Thank you for doing your in-depth review ranging from speaker test and technical specifications. Great job!
Upgrade from 8plus. Should i go with 16 or try to get 15prm
I used 14prm but it is to heavy
60hz is not the big promblems because i cant feel the different between 8plus and 14 prm
I upgraded my iPhone 15 plus to an iPhone 16 by buying a new blue case
Nothing to compare with 15, if you have 15 no need to buy 16, if you don’t have 15 no need to buy 15, go for the 16.
ok why though - reasoning?
this is what i’m here for.
appreciate your simple answer but would still like to know a couple reasons as to why you say so.
@@00zarzu00 Iphone 15 is relatively new, you get most from it, so if you made your purchase already then no need to worry about the 16.
But if you are yet to buy one, go for the newer 16 series, even though 15 will be available at a discount, 16 wii offer more features like AI, better battery backup, longer support from Apple.
bought the 15 plus at launch last year ima hold out on the upgrade till next year
Why upgrade. Your 15 is good for the next five years. That’s a waste of money
@@Angrod98apple intelligence
@@kjjr3270 that’s a waste of money. It’s not worth an entire upgrade. Maybe if he had an older phone but other than Apple intelligence which I promise you 99 percent of people will not use it’s the same phone. I just upgraded from an 11 to a 15. That’s the kind of time you should be waiting to upgrade. Otherwise you’re wasting and losing money.
I have a 15 base model . Is it worth upgrading to the 16?
No
No it’s better but not a big enough upgrade I’d wait till the 18
I am coming from a 12 so I needed the upgrade to the 16
are you all doing a camera comparison to the pixel 9? urgently waiting for this video from you all :D
iphone 16 definetly improved heating and thermals compared to iphone 15,
As non US user, position of SIM card tray always useful to see as well
why?
Plz make video of real world difference between iPhone 15 Pro Max and iPhone 16 Pro Max…
I had an SE second generation with the iOS 18 update. My battery was draining pretty quickly. I love my SP. The only reason I am upgrading to the iPhone 16 is because I am a diamond member and I get a free phone.
Does the 16 have better voice recognition?
To be honest I would recommend the 15 pro above the 16. Well the biggest difference is the cc-button. But to be honest how many times do you use it. Thanks for all the details.
The button brings up Creedence Clearwater ??? I might upgrade....😁🙄😎😎😎
Nice video. Interesting your perspective is a bit different than some of the other reviewers. I agree, some really great improvements were made, and 70 percent bump for frame rates is insane in 2024.
Please make the same video with 15 pro and 16 pro, I think there are people really confused between these two models
Bought the white colored iPhone 16.
I have iphone x now and i wanna buy a new one but im not sure which one should i take 15 or 16? 14 is not an option for right now. What would you recommend for a college student? Im living in Turkiye currently and in here iphones are starting from almost 2x price from rest of the world so thats why im still confused
get the 16 bro, then you won't have to upgrade for another 5 years
That’s crazy! Thanks for sharing this details from inside.
I am going from Google Pixel to 7. Should I get the 16 or 15. I love taking photos.
Hy i have a serious confusion, i want to buy iphone but im still confused, Should i wait for iphone 16 in jan sale or buy iphone 15 in cureent BBD sale? Iphone 16 will be around 63000 in Jan sale. and currently Iphone 15 costs 53000 after all discounts. So whats your opinion do tell. Is it worth buying iphone 16 in Jan or wait for iphone 17 which might have biggest upgrade from iphone 16 as i see a pattern in iphones that all the odd iphones i.e 11,13,15 are getting good upgrades.
My max budget is 63k -65k for the phone
Nobody cares about colors. Let’s down play the damn colors. You’re gonna put a case on it.
I just put a clear case on mine so you still see the colour.
I chose my iPhone 15 because I liked the color. lol. Why? Because it makes me happy when I pick up my phone. The dopamine hit was worth it to me. 😂
I just got the iPhone 15 because I think it looks better then the iPhone 16
Why better?
@@robertods81 there isn’t a point in getting the brand new one when the iPhone 15 is just as good
Can you do a camera test between iPhone 15 plus and 16 pro max
Modern phones should last at least four years. And it’s you choice to replace your phone every year.
I just got the 16 (upgrading from 12) and I’m prolly keeping till 18 pro cuz I’m pretty sure that’s when we get the under display camera
I can’t wait for that
You can tell this is a biased, "fresh out of the box" review. This seems more like an advertisement than a review. 60hz AND dimmer light? lol.
When the 16 is better you say the 16 is better , but when the 15 is better you say they are similar 😂
I don't trust the camera is better on the 16 unless there's a blind test 😂
Keeping my 15 until next year … just gonna go pro for good.
would the 16 be worth the upgrade from a 13??
15 without Apple Intellegence support is just unacceptable !
Can this video be representative for plus version ?
Thats odd about the macro on your 15 pro.. I had mine about 1/2 in. away from a bic lighter and it looked perfect.. 🤔🤷🏼♂️
i have 13 im thinking to change 16 is good for changing in daily use?
16 is better than the 13 in every way, but only a little. I'd say get the new phone if you are OK with the price, your iphone 13 is slow, and if you like the camera.
if you are really into camera then maybe
Yup, 13 to 16 is a proper upgrade.
Always great videos bro
Can you compare 15 plus Vs 16 plus
This just feels like a paid review
Going from 15-16 is pointless apart from the fact that apple just reduced you're battery life on the 15 and made it slower too
I think ima hold on to my 13 for one more year, ima upgrade to a 17 pro when it releases
I have the 15 and I think I’m gonna stick with it for a few years….. a better camera? Ok?
Exactly like the 14 pro and 15 pro compared to the 16 pro … don’t mention the thermals because in real indoor life the 16 is way dimmer than the 15
we dont love the new design. Iphone 15 was definitely better and less boring in terms of design
When you experience the 5X camera, you can’t never go back .. never .. gosh but I love this fun colors :’(
TBH, IN DAILY LIFE NO ONE IS GONNA USE THOSE HI TENSED GAMES GRAPHICS OR MAYBE THE AI FEATURES, IF WE CARE ABOUT DAY TO DAY USAGE LIKE LISTENING TO MUSIC, MOVIES, A LITTLE BIT OF GAMING OR SCROLLING INSTAGRAM 15 IS A FANTASTIC CHOICE WITH ALMOST SAME FEATURES AND LESSER PRICE.
It’s after 97hrs atm…
We should skip both and wait for the iPhone 17.
Hey McFly….you can’t do a sound comparison when your viewers are hearing this video through let’s say, an iPhone 15…or 14…etc.
No mention of any differences in size, depth or weight? Did you forget to mention any of these important considerations?
I’m pretty sure the only differences are the colors and camera configuration.
Hope they fix the WiFi issues
The sound of the 16 is a little better.
Good review.
Heard some rumor the base 17 lineup will get 120hz
Aside from 60 hz i would be fine with the 16 vs the 16 pro.
With iPhone 16, base models are not substantially different from the Pros. Buy Pro only if cameras & screen refresh rate matter to you.
I think that if you were to compare the results from geekbench 6 between iPhone 15 with iOS 17 and iPhone 16 with iOS 18, the differences would be smaller. It is clear that Apple must somehow reduce the "raw" performance of the previous device by a few percent.
thank you maxTech for doing this differences video for iphone 15 vs 16 ❤👍
LOVEEEEEE YOUR VIDEOOOOOSSSS ☺️💚
Im happy with my iPhone 13 mini...will not upgrade till the final iOS support stops

Music works already with locked screen. RUclips disable that unless you pay for RUclips Premium it seems
@@PK-blue Ah right. Thank you 👍🏼
although the 16 looks nicer, i think the vertical camera bumb, it kinda woble when placed back down
Just looking at the shots of the eyes , not meaning to be picky ( but I must 😊), the shot on the left doesn’t look terrible but I’ve seen better , and the shot on the right, the eye is slightly out of focus I think , however the lash is in focus .
Dang man these new colors give me Samsung Corby vibes
The 15 actually has more bass and sounds better?
no need to watch if you got into the first 30sec of the video. I was pretty clear where you are heading to for conclusion without getting deep into the technical...
The camera bump on the 16 looks terrible, the colours look cartoon-ish ,looks like a kids toy, it's not worth it , the 15 is definitely the way to go it looks expensive.
The 16 looks cheap tbh
15 is still great, i see zero reason to update, espicially if u have the 15 pro because the regular 16 is 60htz in 2024
15 is much better looking than 16
Heck no! You’re the first person I’ve heard say that. 16 is WAY better imo
There was never a reason Apple needed to make cameras diagonal except for standing out. But there’s no denying vertical orientation just looks cleaner. And Ultra Marine smokes the pastel colors of last year
U r right bro
Yep, the new bright colors look cheapo.
