@@GamereY0T I haven't had any of those issues and no one I know personally has said anything about that to me, so I can only say what I've heard. You would be fine to buy refurbished, try the phone for a few days and if you don't like it return it. Apples return policy rules

Bro I have a 15 pro since launch , just buy it I promise you’ll love it it’s incredibly fast and smoother with 120hz refresh rate , you will get Apple intelligence on it and you’ll have triple cameras, plus it has much thinner bezels than the 16 , for software support it will last just like the 16 or maybe more.
I'm not so sure, unless your a gamer you don't need 120. And from what I've seen the pro motion displays on the 16 pro run at 80 or less in normal usage to save battery.
I had an iPhone 11 (regular model) and I just bought the iPhone 15 Pro mainly because of the 120 hrtz screen and better camera also because I knew that I would never use that new camera button thing on the 16. But man the difference compared to my previous 11 is huge, I feel like I’m rediscovering what’s a smartphone 😂

I currently have the iPhone 16 plus in black with 256gb. The 60 hz refresh rate doesn’t bother me at all I’m happy with my purchase I came from the iPhone 14 plus, that I gave to my mother because she was using the iPhone 11.
No mention of the battery life? The big thing about the 16 is the improved battery life over the 15 pro which has a dodgy battery life. And a good battery life is a make-or-break for a lot of shoppers out there.
My 15 pro battery life has been absolutely meh. I use no social media and play 0 games on my phone, not to mention rough thermals. Gets hot using notes & calculator.

where i live the 15 pro is about 100$ more expensive. i dont mind paying more for it but my biggest concern is the battery. everywhere i see negative comments about it. some people say it's horrible and they refunded and some said its not the best. i currently have a 120hz phone but i don't use it so i couldn't care about it. the 16 has a better battery so im very confused on which to get. hope you reply 🙏🏻

Pro models have a significantly larger sensor, which makes a big difference when shooting video in low light. I have no idea why almost no reviewers mention this.

Promotion is so negligible for me. I have low power mode on all the time anyway on my pro. And when it’s turned off automatically after a charge.. in the few minutes I scroll before turning it back on.. I really don’t care about the difference. I DO think the telephoto lens is useful on the pro while having 48mpxl on the 16 definitely helps the zoom compared to all other base iphones before it, the telephoto will still out-reach it and definitely provides more natural selfies and compression. To me- the only positive of the 16 is the lighter weight. And the main positive of the pro is the telephoto lens. Super tough call when thinking of which to get my dad lol.

Probably the biggest difference maker with the camera module (If I’m correct) is that the 16 has a new lossless file format to where it eliminates the artificial image sharpening that makes every photo and video look grainy/noisy. Huge selling point for a lazy photographer/videographer like me.

Great video. Last month I was in for a new iPhone. The iPhone 16 was announced but I was also looking at the iPhone 15 Pro. I did some research into the differences between these two iPhone models. I was astonished by the colors of the new 16. But I thought buying an iPhone only for its color wouldn’t be a great decision. After a week I had made my mind up and decided to buy the iPhone 15 Pro. Better cameras (the 16 actually doesn’t utilize optical zoom, it just cropping the image), faster usb c port (15 Pro has usb c 3.1 gen 2, iPhone 16 uses usb c 2.0 with slow data transfer), titanium body instead of aluminum, better display (120Hz Pro Motion), always on display, iPhone 15 Pro also supports Apple Intelligence (iPhone 15 and older do not support Apple Intelligence. Only iPhone 15 Pro/Pro Max and iPhone 16/16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro/Pro Max), capable of shooting ProRes video with ACES and also log video, the price: I’ve payed less than a new iPhone 16 entry level would cost me, and a lot more. It’s really worth its price this iPhone 15 Pro. Sure, it doesn’t have the new camera button, but you can use the action button on iPhone 15 Pro to use it as a camera button, so.. @JonAdamsTech nah I'm not really picky on the battery side like I'm coming from a Samsung s23 and the battery was relatively average ,from my research I might get 60-70percent of what I got if I go with the 15 pro but one con is the refub I tend to stand in between since the battery tends to vary and reduce on performance and all since it was refurb I don't know if I'm right or wrong cause that's what holding back on either getting the 15pro or the 16 ATM,pls do give me your thought 😉

Completely agreed re:refresh rate. I'm frankly confused by the sheer amount of complaining about 60Hz. Completely agreed re:telephoto lens. I'd even go as far as to say the wideangle lens is about as useless, so I'm weirdly excited for next year's iPhone Air ditching both and only keeping the main one. Also, this lefty thanks you for the camera button tip!
The Camera Control button is, in my opinion, the worst feature this year. It is terribly fiddly and awkward to use. It seems totally superfluous and unnecessary. And the biggest downside? It actually *slows* down your picture-taking task! It's much faster just to use the on-screen controls. This button was ill-conceived. Instead of *removing* buttons from the iPhone, Apple decided to *add* new buttons such as the Action button and the Camera Control button. Steve Jobs must be spinning in his grave like a lathe. I sincerely hope they remove this feature in the next iteration of the iPhone (17 or 18) after users express their displeasure.
Weight and fingerprints are top considerations for me. I got the 16. The camera control button comes with a ZOOM of up to 10x which makes up for the absence of a telephoto lens, doesn’t it? And yes, an extra year of security updates too. That said, I dislike the camera control button because most cases come with cutouts and it doesn’t feel nice to wrap my fingers around a cutout. The dynamic island stinks on both phones. Wouldn’t the phone look a whole lot better without that very large pill?

I'm left handed as well, that sounds pretty good! The fact that you have to use the camera button with your right hand in landscape mode doesn't really bother me, it's just like with an actual camera where the shutter button is on the right. We just have to adapt, I'm sure we get used to it lol

I am thinking of switching from my 15 Pro to the 16 classic.. because of the very bad battery quality.. I got this phone for 13 months now and only 330 charging cycles but it has dropped down to 88% maximum capacity.. that's a bummer to me. I always use 60 hz refresh rate to get more battery life but still it doesn't do it for me anymore.. I have to charge every day now. or I just spent some hundred bucks for a battery replacement repair. not sure yet :)
@ overall usage time 5-6h screen on time.. so no :) it does not last a day. i dont know what they have done to those 15 model batteries. thats why iam not sure about the repair service.
Even if u're left handed (I’m too), the camera button makes it feel like you have a shooter, and in every camera, the shutter button is on the right side. It shouldn’t be a problem.
I think the new chip is more frugal with respect to battery. But as much as to choose the non pro. I think it’s mostly the price that decides the pick.
Just upgraded my 14 pro to the 16 pro, mainly because, as a photographer, shooting in raw format is helpful (of course, I don't need to shoot in raw all the time, the regular camera on the 15/16 is just as good). I'm just hoping the regular models in future will go to 120Hz.

Finally a review that really gets to the meat and potatoes of the devices. So I have the S23 Ultra at the moment, have been a Samsung user for quiet a while. I have had two iPhones in the past, the 8 Plus, and the 11 Pro, I left the iPhone because I wanted to be able to move my apps around to where I wanted them. Couldn't do it at the time, but now you can. I wish they would add an app tray like on Android, but I can deal without that. I am dumping Samsung because they have hard doubled down on the darn curved edge screen! I have spent over $200 on screen protectors, and you CANNOT get a screen protector that will stay on those stupid curved edges. In all honesty, this is why I'm going back to iPhone, so I came here to make my mind up about either the 15 Pro, or the 16. And I'm almost there, leaning towards the 15 Pro, just got to watch some more camera comparison videos. I take a lot of photos, and I take them all with my phone, so I want to get the best photos and bang for the money. Also, the other thing that Apple has figured out is the OS and the apps which run on it, because they just work well together. Samsung has come a long ways, but you still get those apps that just do not run well on Android, I am guessing because they are ports from IOS, so that is also a huge plus.

If the regular 16 had at least 90hz it would be worth it but the 60 for that cost is just not a good value

I went from 60hz to 120hz and there is a big difference. Once you go 120hz going back to 60hz feels like the phone is lagging. 60hz is not smooth .

Probably the biggest difference maker with the camera module (If I’m correct) is that the 16 has a new lossless file format to where it eliminates the artificial image sharpening that makes every photo and video look grainy/noisy. Huge selling point for a lazy photographer/videographer like me.

So Black Friday is Nov 25th, already checked out iPhone 15pro which I am interested in, but he says the 16 is the same price as the 15 right now. Great video. Last month I was in for a new iPhone. The iPhone 16 was announced but I was also looking at the iPhone 15 Pro. I did some research into the differences between these two iPhone models. I was astonished by the colors of the new 16. But I thought buying an iPhone only for its color wouldn’t be a great decision. After a week I had made my mind up and decided to buy the iPhone 15 Pro. Better cameras (the 16 actually doesn’t utilize optical zoom, it just cropping the image), faster usb c port (15 Pro has usb c 3.1 gen 2, iPhone 16 uses usb c 2.0 with slow data transfer), titanium body instead of aluminum, better display (120Hz Pro Motion), always on display, iPhone 15 Pro also supports Apple Intelligence (iPhone 15 and older do not support Apple Intelligence. Only iPhone 15 Pro/Pro Max and iPhone 16/16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro/Pro Max), capable of shooting ProRes video with ACES and also log video, the price: I’ve payed less than a new iPhone 16 entry level would cost me, and a lot more. It’s really worth its price this iPhone 15 Pro. Sure, it doesn’t have the new camera button, but you can use the action button on iPhone 15 Pro to use it as a camera button, so.. I’d still go pro cause it’s the better phone but the 16 does have a better battery life if that’s a major concern of yours
@JonAdamsTech nah I'm not really picky on the battery side like I'm coming from a Samsung s23 and the battery was relatively average ,from my research I might get 60-70percent of what I got if I go with the 15 pro but one con is the refub I tend to stand in between since the battery tends to vary and reduce on performance and all since it was refurb I don't know if I'm right or wrong cause that's what holding back on either getting the 15pro or the 16 ATM,pls do give me your thought 😉

Completely agreed re:telephoto lens. I'd even go as far as to say the wideangle lens is about as useless, so I'm weirdly excited for next year's iPhone Air ditching both and only keeping the main one.

The Camera Control button is, in my opinion, the worst feature this year. It is terribly fiddly and awkward to use. It seems totally superfluous and unnecessary. And the biggest downside? It actually *slows* down your picture-taking task! It's much faster just to use the on-screen controls.
This button was ill-conceived. Instead of *removing* buttons from the iPhone, Apple decided to *add* new buttons such as the Action button and the Camera Control button. Steve Jobs must be spinning in his grave like a lathe.
I sincerely hope they remove this feature in the next iteration of the iPhone (17 or 18) after users express their displeasure.

Weight and fingerprints are top considerations for me. I got the 16. The camera control button comes with a ZOOM of up to 10x which makes up for the absence of a telephoto lens, doesn’t it? And yes, an extra year of security updates too. That said, I dislike the camera control button because most cases come with cutouts and it doesn’t feel nice to wrap my fingers around a cutout. The dynamic island stinks on both phones. Wouldn’t the phone look a whole lot better without that very large pill?
YEah I agree, having a cut out on phone cases for the camera button is mad annoying. I actually like the dynamic island though, I find it useful

I'm left handed as well, that sounds pretty good! The fact that you have to use the camera button with your right hand in landscape mode doesn't really bother me, it's just like with an actual camera where the shutter button is on the right. We just have to adapt, I'm sure we get used to it lol

I am thinking of switching from my 15 Pro to the 16 classic.. because of the very bad battery quality.. I got this phone for 13 months now and only 330 charging cycles but it has dropped down to 88% maximum capacity.. that's a bummer to me. I always use 60 hz refresh rate to get more battery life but still it doesn't do it for me anymore.. I have to charge every day now. or I just spent some hundred bucks for a battery replacement repair. not sure yet :)
So the battery doesn’t last a full day? I mean the 16 has insane battery life but a replacement battery is pretty cheap.
@ overall usage time 5-6h screen on time.. so no :) it does not last a day. i dont know what they have done to those 15 model batteries.

Even if u're left handed (I’m too), the camera button makes it feel like you have a shooter, and in every camera, the shutter button is on the right side. It shouldn’t be a problem.

Just upgraded my 14 pro to the 16 pro, mainly because, as a photographer, shooting in raw format is helpful (of course, I don't need to shoot in raw all the time, the regular camera on the 15/16 is just as good). I'm just hoping the regular models in future will go to 120Hz.

Finally a review that really gets to the meat and potatoes of the devices. So I have the S23 Ultra at the moment, have been a Samsung user for quiet a while. I have had two iPhones in the past, the 8 Plus, and the 11 Pro, I left the iPhone because I wanted to be able to move my apps around to where I wanted them. Couldn't do it at the time, but now you can. I wish they would add an app tray like on Android, but I can deal without that. I am dumping Samsung because they have hard doubled down on the darn curved edge screen! I have spent over $200 on screen protectors, and you CANNOT get a screen protector that will stay on those stupid curved edges. In all honesty, this is why I'm going back to iPhone, so I came here to make my mind up about either the 15 Pro, or the 16. And I'm almost there, leaning towards the 15 Pro, just got to watch some more camera comparison videos. I take a lot of photos, and I take them all with my phone, so I want to get the best photos and bang for the money. Also, the other thing that Apple has figured out is the OS and the apps which run on it, because they just work well together. Samsung has come a long ways, but you still get those apps that just do not run well on Android, I am guessing because they are ports from IOS, so that is also a huge plus.
