Your stove was made the year I was born! You give it quite a work out with all your homemade meals. I love to watch you cook…you make it look so effortless. Your family is very blessed with how you nurture and care for them. Congratulations again on the birth of your newest son.
I still have my sourdough starter from my neighbor.. she taught me, but it made it sound complicated. Your videos showed me it doesn't have to be. I usually make two loaves of bread a week and either sourdough pancakes or waffles on the weekend. It works fantastic for our family. Love your passion!
Your food looks so good. It always seems like you're throwing random things together but it turns out really yummy. I've been working back toward cooking from scratch. It tastes much better and I'm not hungry again in 20 minutes. There's a lot to be said for old fashioned cooking!
Just this month I went completely off of dairy and bad oils and mostly off of sugar (I’m super sensitive to gluten and have been off of it for 2 years), and the biggest thing I’ve noticed is that I’m not as hungry after dinner and sometimes I don’t even have a snack before bed, let alone 5 snacks! It’s amazing! (And if anyone wants to judge me for eating too much, I’ve always eaten pretty healthy and I’m not a bit overweight. The excessive small meals was partly from healing from malnourishment.)
I save all the ends of bread in the freezer until I have enough to make bread crumbs. I just went through mine and made a bunch of jars of crumbs. It is so nice to use fresh. They are so much better then store bought. Love the chocolate rolls. Yum! What a treat!
My instantpot seal broke too...they give you one extra when you buy it and it's super easy to swap out, you can also purchase a new seal inexpensively!
Hi Lisa I'm Cindy from a small town in eastern Ontario Canada. I came across your channel this year and recently subscribed. I enjoy your video that you have done where you speak with other folks on different topics. This video in particular was refreshing so inspiring hearing you have such confidence with sourdough, you have convinced me to give it a try! All the best, Red.
It was because of you that I started my own sourdough starter from scratch. I love how you make “homemade” and “natural” so simple whereas the rest of the world makes it so complicated. Thank you❣️ my first starter died lol but trying again. Determined to make my own 😂
Your videos always inspire me to cook/bake. We use to have a farm when most of the kids were still home. Raised our own meat..mostly. Chickens, pigs, milk cow, etc.... Taking care of the farm and my family was such a joy. I always seemed to be in the kitchen. 😊 Now it's just my husband and our youngest but that desire is still there. Thank you for your videos!
Just discovered you randomly today…just viewed a video or two…fellow homeschooling family, mom of 6, and I enjoy making meals for my family. Sometimes you just get in a rut so I’m enjoying your scratch made meals. Kudos! Nice to meet you
I like to make ham spread with the leftover ham. When putting the ham through the food processor, I like to make extra and freeze it (just the meat). It makes an easy lunch in a crunch.
I believe it's fine to mill popcorn in the nutrimill & wondermill because they have stainless steel plates. The mockmill has stone plates, and their instructions say not to. I think both say not to mill anything oily like flax seeds, etc.
Lisa, Great Video! When you have your hog processed you could ask your butcher to slice those hams into thick slices than they shrink wrap each one. One large slice is enough for the whole family. You will love have them on hand in the freezer. .The whole hams can be hard to work with on a daily basis.
Even having to use two slices is still better than dealing with a whole ham every time lol There’s a lot of hungry kids she’s feeding every single meal!
When we have pork processed I ask them to cut the hams into fourths. It makes it much more manageable. Thank you for sharing all the delicious meal ideas.
A few years ago my mock mill broke when I tried to mill corn in it. Mine is the kitchen aid mixer attachment mock mill so idk if that makes a difference. It wasn’t too expensive to replace the broken piece but needless to say I have never tried that again. I love this video this week! I do miss two videos each week though but I’ll gladly take however many videos we can get from you. I know you have so much going on!
My grandmother used to use a mixture of 1/2 cup each, of French's mustard and brown sugar, for the sauce. Mix together in a bowl, place sauce on meatloaf the last 20 min. of cooking. So delicious, with a sweet and sour taste. Yum!
Try replacing the seal for your instant pot. mine did the same and I just ordered a new seal. It's still in the mail so can't 100% confirm it will work but from what I know it should fix it!
I love that you serve up everyone’s plates and then take them to the table! I’m always trying to fit all the serving dishes on the table along with everyone’s place settings. Why do I do that? 😂 Great idea!
Lisa-love watching your videos for inspiration. I also love how you “throw things together”. That is my way of cooking. Recipes are guidelines right? 😅
A good way to use up leftover ham is god breakfast. Brown ham slices in a skillet, add a little water, brown sugar and ground cloves to make a glaze. Turn slices to coat. Very good! Be careful not to add too much ground cloves b
I don’t know what’s changed, but your last 4 videos or so you’ve had me cracking up with your stream of consciousness commentary! Love the new blue kitchen too.
Good morning! I just love your videos, cooking, and family. You and your husband are truly wise. So enjoyable!! I am always wishing I could "slip in" to your table at mealtime (maybe you wouldn't notice an extra 58 year old grandma??? 😶😮😇😆😂). Wishing you a blessed day Lisa! Thank you for blessing my life so richly.
Not sure if you think this might help but my instapot stopped sealing too, I bought new seals and it works like new. They come in packs of like 3 for $8
Hey, I am vegan, but I watch all your videos. I was inspired to master sourdoug bread becasue of you and I did. We are so simular, except I am vegan and I have one daughter. You inspire me and I love all you do and are. You are amazing. Thank you
Thanks for clarifying the Mockmill and popcorn - I had seen that as well….and so I felt confused when I saw you doing it. 😊. As always Lisa, everything looks delicious!! These are my favorite videos.
I always seem to watch your good videos when I’m sort of hungry and by the time it’s over, I’m heading to the kitchen. Everything looked just delicious!!!
I think the Nutri Mill can handle popcorn because of the grinding mechanism. With the MockMill, popcorn is too hard and it can break the grinding stones. I have both.
Thank you Lisa for the wisdom you share in this video! Loved it as always! As a tip - my husband hunts and so I have had the challenge of deer ribs myself. I season them liberally with salt and pepper, rub them with spicy mustard and cook them for four hours at 220 degrees in the oven. They will be fall off the bone tender and very enjoyable- just make sure to adjust the portions as deer doesn’t yield as much as pork or beef. Lots of blessings to you! ☀️
I love your "what we eat in a week" videos! I go to the grocery store every day because I struggle with menu planning. I would love to learn more about how you go only once a week to the store. Also, do you find the aluminum baking powder works better in your quick breads?
I keep a well stocked pantry and meat in the freezer. I have several videos that talk about this...once you keep staples on hand and meat in the freezer you will be able to throw something together...
Just thought I'd share that storing seasonings and herbs near heat isn't ideal because the heat destroys the longevity as well as flavor. Just an FYI. Looks like good meals!
I grind popcorn in my nutrimill, too. Love having fresh cornmeal! Oh, and we've made the spicy oven fries several times. They're a hit. We serve them with homemade ranch. So good!
Such great meals Lisa. You looked like you had a cold or hard time breathing. I pray you're ok. Maybe baby just pushing on your lungs. Love all your videos. I cant wait to see Whst you cook up next.
I cook large hams. Left overs get frozen in meal size packages. One of my favorite ways are to make a frittata or Christmas morning wifesaver. You can look it up. It makes a delicious supper with a side salad.
Hi Lisa, have you ever tried Masa Harina flour? It's much easier to digest, due to the way they process it. Makes great cornbread, tortillas and much more!
When you soak the popcorn you can make a lime solution very easily and soak it in that yourself. Once you try popcorn used instead, for corn meal items, u just won’t go back!
Thanks so much for sharing your family, recipes, and your home! You made sourdough easy for me and my family is absolutely loving our sourdough packed meals! :) May I also ask where your dress is from?! It’s beautiful:)
I love watching your channel you make the best meals for your family. That with the beans and ham and your rolls. Great!!! Yes I'm from the south. I save my ham bone and make dry large butter beans so good with sliced onion and cornbread. God bless you all. Watching from Berry Alabama.

🇨🇦 I love how you choose healthy over fast. Every meal looks delicious.
Give grace to those they have to do it fast. Maybe they are working moms who pick up hungry kids from daycare.
There’s something about the way you season your food, looks like it’s made with love! Thanks for the dinner ideas.

gorgeous meals❤
I love the amount of salt you use in your meals. Really enjoy your content!
I love how you take a meal and turn it into another meal FABULOUS!
I salute you, mom. Delicious dishes done with creative intuition. Endless work, endless love.
Popcorn! Wow beautiful meals and life! So much great food going on and learning kids to cook! Love it!
Such wholesome goodness! Love watching you and my mouth is literally watering! 🥰
😊 thank you
I save all the ends of bread in the freezer until I have enough to make bread crumbs. I just went through mine and made a bunch of jars of crumbs. It is so nice to use fresh. They are so much better then store bought. Love the chocolate rolls. Yum! What a treat!
That’s a super good idea for bread crumbs! Especially for gluten free.
Give my ends to the birdies
My instantpot seal broke too...they give you one extra when you buy it and it's super easy to swap out, you can also purchase a new seal inexpensively!
I was just going to post this! Maybe it’s just your seal needing replacement :)
You really inspired me to bake sourdough bread. You simplify the process and that’s what I needed. Thanks for all your videos!!!
You are so welcome!
Tarragon is the BEST herb/flavor in a chicken wild rice soup. You will never forget it if you have it once.

you can do it!
You are not alone lol 🤗
My started is from a decades old started brought over from Scandinavia. I have it frozen and dried so I’ll not lose it.
I have used a slotted broil pan for years and love to make my bacon in the oven.
Your videos always inspire me to cook/bake. We use to have a farm when most of the kids were still home. Raised our own meat..mostly. Chickens, pigs, milk cow, etc.... I love seeing the delicious meals you made for your family! I’ve been in a bit of a dinner recipe rut so you got my wheels turning!
Potatoe wedges and adobo sprinkle. 400 degrees. Yum!
Those double chocolate rolls look amazing 🤩 everything looks delicious 🤤
Thank you for sharing these meals with us Lisa! They look so delicious! You're such a great cook!
Thank you so much!
All you have to do is get one of those long aluminum casserole pans, the disposable kind. Use that to trap the steam for your baguette.
For those who are watching their added salt, onion powder can be used to sprinkle on foods
Just discovered you randomly today…just viewed a video or two…fellow homeschooling family, mom of 6, and I enjoy making meals for my family. Sometimes you just get in a rut so I’m enjoying your scratch made meals. Kudos! Nice to meet you
Welcome!!
I was in a meal rut too when I first found Lisa about 6 years ago. I love how food connects people in so many ways
I like to make ham spread with the leftover ham. When putting the ham through the food processor, I like to make extra and freeze it (just the meat). It makes an easy lunch in a crunch.
Why does my mouth water every time I watch your videos?
I love how easily you throw delicious things together. It makes me feel like I can do the same!
Feel this!
the more you cook, the more you will get comfortable with it! You can do it.
I believe it's fine to mill popcorn in the nutrimill & wondermill because they have stainless steel plates. The mockmill has stone plates, and their instructions say not to. I think both say not to mill anything oily like flax seeds, etc.
So amazing what you do on a regular basis in your kitchen Lisa…Seems like so few of your age group do this type of cooking from scratch anymore.
wild game rib meat is always strong, even on antelope which is my absolute favorite. we only use wild game rib meat for sausage making 👍🏽😁
Good to know!

Your meals look amazing!!! Add some dry mustard to that meatloaf glaze, it's next level!

Been needing some healthy dinner inspiration. Thank you!
I would love to know the blue paint color in your dining room, its beautiful! Thanks :)
Benjamin Moore Cloudy Sky
I have learned so much about cooking over the years watching your videos. My family and I thank you!
Thank you so much!

Great idea!!
I do the same for dinner but with maple syrup and a little sprinkle of cloves on each slice. I throw it in the oven

@@FarmhouseonBoone love watching your video, you have a beautiful home, and a beautiful family.
You can get a new o-ring for your Instapot if that's the issue.
I think you are amazing! Thank you.
I love how you mentioned Shay Elliott! You both are my favorite RUclipsrs!!!
As always, I love your videos. Doesn't really matter what the subject is. Thank you.
They ham and pasta dish will definitely be on meal list in the coming weeks 😋
Wow I’m so glad I found your channel 😊😊😊😊
Enjoyed your videos. Try sautéing vegetables before adding to meatloaf mixture. We think it adds more flavor to the meat.
Seeing you with your apron, working in the kitchen, reminds me of an old fashioned scene. I love it!
You're such an awesome cook! Thank you for all your yummy recipes.
Great vid. Food looks delicious.
If you don't have sour cream for the twice baked, you can add lemon juice to the cream and it will make sour cream.
Not sure if you think this might help but my instapot stopped sealing too, I bought new seals and it works like new. They come in packs of like 3 for $8
Lisa the ham and bean soup is wonderful with a can of diced tomatoes too!

Thanks for clarifying the Mockmill and popcorn - I had seen that as well….and so I felt confused when I saw you doing it. 😊. As always Lisa, everything looks delicious!! These are my favorite videos.
I love my insta but I truly love my Dutch oven just as much or even more
My mom ground popcorn for cornbread growing up too. We had a whisper mill
what wonderful insight. Thank you for sharing :)
I love this channel!!
Thank you for the tip about soaking beans with a little vinegar! I always learn something useful from your cooking videos. They make me hungry!!
I checked for NutriMill, yes you can grind popcorn.

Great menu for full week!
You are so helpful ! Thanks for your videos.
Always fun and inspiring to watch you cook.
Glad to hear that
Thanks for this video! I definitely need some meal inspiration this week :)
Popcorn is fine in the old white Nutrimill. Yellow dent corn is recommended for the KoMo which is the same idea as the mock mill you have.
Oh phew! I have a Whispermill which is the old version of the nutrimill I think. I was worried!
So funny, I saw that ice cream bucket and I was like WHAT IN THE WORLD!!!! hahahahahaha It was beans!!!!
Just thought I'd share that storing seasonings and herbs near heat isn't ideal because the heat destroys the longevity as well as flavor. Just an FYI. Looks like good meals!
When cooking venison or pork I add fruit like rhubarb or plums or apples. Also onion and garlic. Cinnamon and nutmeg are great too!
Thanks for the tips!
Your cooking always makes me hungry.
I grind popcorn in my nutrimill, too. Love having fresh cornmeal! Oh, and we've made the spicy oven fries several times. They're a hit. We serve them with homemade ranch. So good!
Hi Lisa, I really love your channel, such a super mum

Really enjoyed this video! Practical, comforting variety of delicious meals. I could almost smell the ham & beans!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Venison ribs are delicious when making a soup. I make a broth out of them first; than take off the meat and throw it in the soup you’re making.
I grew up on lard because I lived on a farm. The ham pasta looked delicious. They all did.
yummie , thank you for sharing
My instant pot wasn’t sealing so I got some new parts for the lid on Amazon- cheap fix
I grew up eating bacon grease, it makes everything taste better
Oh ya, 👍👍👍 thanks for the tip with ice for you banquette, it looked great to me, as I have struggled to get the oven rise on a banquette.
Thanks so much for sharing your family, recipes, and your home! You made sourdough easy for me and my family is absolutely loving our sourdough packed meals! :)
May I also ask where your dress is from?! It’s beautiful:)
