We do very little screen time in our home, but the other day, when the two little ones were napping, and my oldest (5) came to me from her short quiet time, I said hey, do you wanna see what mommy watches in the evening? She was so excited and we watched one of your videos together. Gabriell just loved the house and the chicken and all the different colored eggs. You made burgers and ate out in the garden and she asked if we could do the same, so today we enjoyed a beautiful summer evening with from scratch burgers outside with our kiddos Gabriell, Raphael and Mikaila. It was just wonderful and my daughter can't wait to sit and have some special time with me again and discover some more of your delicious meals ❤ always a joy and inspiration to see all 5he wonderful things you do for your family.

There's a very simple trick to keeping parchment paper from rolling up (which can be really annoying when you're handling dough). You take the parchment paper, crumple it up and then spread it out again. For me that was one of the best tricks, even when it comes to lining baking pans and such. I can only speak for our German baking paper, but I'm sure it will work with others too.

All the while, usually holding a baby, with your beautiful children around you, I so admire you!!! Your mother must have taught you and your sisters well. I don't know what you have for siblings, but wonder if you have brothers, do they cook also? How did you learn to do it all??? I think a big part of it, is loving what you do. Have you made a video discussing your background - how you came to choose this lifestyle, did you set out to have a large family and become a dedicated homemaker (in a time that you don't see much of that), did you grow up on a farm, have you had any culinary education either from a school or from your own mother, did you have any contrasting professional life before this, etc.? Indeed sheet pan dinners are so handy, as well as one pot meals with rice. I love making a honey garlic sweet potato sheet pan dinner and lately have been making often a rice and smoked sausage pan. Delicious with fresh parsley and you can change up the seasoning.

I’ve been making rice more often lately too and recently I’ve been fermenting the rice for 24 hours prior. The rice is so much better this way. I also ferment my potatoes for 3 days for French fries! I just started getting into fermenting my foods.

Try breadcrumbs or bread soaked in milk then squeeze out extra milk for meatballs. Also mixing with ground pork is great. I prefer not using veal but this is another option i.e. ground beef, pork and veal combination.

I make the majority of my food from scratch. Do you do any freezer meals? I love them after a busy day. How do you cook everyday while homeschooling? We haven’t started yet, and I’m already overwhelmed.

Every once in a while I will do freezer meals. I have been cooking for so many years that it does not feel like a burden to cook. I can cook dinner very quickly without it being an interruption. Sheet pan meals are very easy, roasting a chicken and some veggies...very easy and hardly no prep...etc.
