I'm 74 yrs, the oldest of 8 and remember my stay at home Mom constantly preparing meals and keeping our home in good order. I grew up wanting to be like her. When it was time I did. I cooked 95% of our own food from scratch. For 16 of those years we raised our own vegies and meat. So I can relate to what you are doing. So blessed whenever I see or meet someone who does what you are doing. God Bless you, your family and all of your work for your family. They are worth it.

The best time of my life was raising my family . I was a single parent . Working and raising my family. It was the best I had God helping me . Every time i watch your videos. You make me so happy. Your videos warm my heart, always 💓 all the care and loving of a mother. Your children will be so respectful and responsible in their life.
You are raising them up beautifully! 🌺🙌🏾🤙🏾
My children now are great parents. They take care of their family. The same way they was raised. It just warms my heart. They are not college graduates. They are successful, to me!❤

@@Melshed you can make your own garam masala. That is how we prefer it. It's a mix of whole spices that is dry roasted and then grinded into powder. You can watch any RUclips video you will get.

I am a Coeliac, and my husband isn't. He is an absolute joy to share food with (he even tried all the gluten-free noodles to find ones he liked, so we could share pasta), but I love the idea of making him little pies (or savoury tarts, I guess) with a proper crust, every now and again! I had no idea the dough would keep that well!

My meatball and meatloaf recipe is pretty much the same. i make a large batch about 48 yield so I can use for later. Use with spaghetti or with noodles and gravy or a white sauce.

Hi Lisa! I love all your videos and the meal videos are awesome! Would you be able to make a video showing how you modify your meals to feed your babies who are just starting solids? I have a 7 month old and Im finding it challenging to feed him what I make for myself and my husband.

I just put the same components separately on their tray...for example of we are having sandwiches or tacos I will just separate out each component for them...adding blueberries or avocado etc

I enjoy watching your vlogs. I do remind myself how things used to be in my kitchen by watching your moves. Watching you reminds me just how much I moved for more than thirty years. In the last five years I have had to shift gears and slow down in the kitchen and a few other places in the house. Working smarter with frailties of aging in place with a much older spouse . Our only child lives in the ADU with his girlfriend, and we're all learning how to work around disabilities that change, the changes in diets, and coping with new relationships. A changing of the guard; out with old, in with the new without leaving anyone behind.
I personally am learning who I have become in the last few years and discovering that how and what I learned when I was very little until I was on my own is somehow coming to the forefront of everyday living. Recipes that you demonstrated in today's vlog are simple, repeatable ,easy to take to the barbecue ,on a picnic, over the road, etc. They are easy to keep warm, re-warm or eat cold.
Mostly they get better tasting with more time.
Thanks for the trip down memory lane too ! Take care:)

Try seasoning your chicken long before putting it into oven. Soya sauce with a teaspoon of honey + dry paprika powder.
