If you think about it this show is just Sokka from avatar getting trained by Goku. If you don't understand the English voice actors of MK and Sun Wukong are the voice actors of Sokka and Goku. Sun Wukong having gokus voice is perfect since Gokus character was heavily inspired by Wukong and Goku is sun Wukong's Japanese name.
Fact: the events mk caused were: giving spider queen his hair losing the key that can open every door/anything opening the scroll that take his friends (exepct may)

We did get new plot threads with Macaques deal and the nature of chaos beings But set wise, it looks like the series had it's run. Maybe we will get a movie or specials to finish the series.
Monkie kid should have a crossover with show's like amphibia and the owl house these show's have a lot in commen with each other the Adventures story telling and just being great show's in general
