I loved adventure time because I played Fate when I was a teenager, it's a PC dungeon game with quests so it reminded me of it.. Maybe that's why the show had been so successful, it related with so many of us
Man I remember when the show was just adventures and didn't have much progression in the story. It felt like it really would never end but it also felt like the show was meant to age with its audience. At first being a warmhearted show to then being enriched depth to the plot of the entire story.
the first few seasons are actual TV gold. the ice king background was the beginning of the end. They took all the wrong lessons from that episode being popular and decided because people liked a little back story that's ALL the story should be and slowly the show just lost every aspect that made it fun.
This show and Avatar: the last airbender are the only two I’m familiar with whose protagonist was voiced by an age-accurate voice actor. Aang and Finn start out sounding like real kids and slowly become young adults. It adds some authenticity that you don’t get when you have an adult voice actor trying to sound younger.
Dude every episode is connected in some way or different episodes are referenced in some way every episode had a meaning and reason behind it so the information never felt pointless that’s why I loved it

At first I always thought Adventure Time was just some weird quirky show. And it is, but it evolved into a truly complex story with unparalleled worldbuilding for a series that never had any spinoffs. One of those cartoons that I'm happy to have given witness to.
Totally agree, I think what really defines that link is the lighthearted and colorful world and the simultaneous exploration of deep and meaningful concepts which just baffle the mind
wish they made more cartoons like this nowdays this show really shaped my childhood and after all these years i still watch em but we all owe so much to the show's creators and cartoon network for making our childhood so memorable 😭❤❤❤
It’s been 4 years since Adventure Time ended. While the Cartoon Network Renaissance may be long over, it’s still great and heartbreaking to remember Regular Show and Adventure Time for the wonderfully amazing shows and movies that were created. It feels as if though in today’s Cartoon Network shows lack or try to live up to the expectations and greatness that Regular Show and Adventure Time made.
Damn, this story is so complex, beautiful, heartwarming, sad and overall epic... Adventure Time is for sure one of the best animated stories ever told.
As a kid I watched adventure time because of entertainment but now when I'm older, I just now noticed the vast lore and beauty of this animated world, truly a masterpiece
A thousand of years passing after the events, BMO forgetting even Finn's name, everyone being long dead, and a different shape of life taking place in Ooo is both poetic, warm and sad. So fitting to cartoon's theme.
The best part about adventure time is that the show really shows how humanity would try so hard to keep fragments of humanity still alive / sane and the bounds we’d go for each other as the last on earth. Truly amazing work
Finn losing his arm is definitely something his incarnate might do. who knows if Shermy will have the same fate. Also for a 1000 years there should be a Finn and Jake version after then but before Beth and Shermy. So technically there should be 10 or so reincarnates of Finn and Jake. As such, the adventure continues.
Pretty sad that Finn lost an arm. I also wish he never did though. At least the 2nd time he lost an arm, he had a metal arm. He used that to fight. Edit: the fun will never end. Good thing the show lives up to that

Adventure Time aired when I was 5. I started watching it and loving it since I was 8. Back then I didn't expect it to be so complicated until i rewatch it for the second time back in quarantine. Time flies so fast and I am 18 now and still love this show! I'm rewatching it again for the 3rd time
I rewatch Adventure Time from time to time as well. I am currently rewatching Adventure Time now. Adventure Time aired when I was 6, and it ended when I was 14. I was 16/17 for Distant Lands. Now I am 19.
I started watching this with my kids, they trailed off a bit but I was hooked and finished the whole thing myself!!! I thought it was just a funny, goofy cartoon but it got gradually deeper and I think it was the part where Simon sacrifices himself to save Marcelleine that got me really invested, i think as a parent i could relate to his willingness to sacrifice everything to save her, which is not something you expect from a cartoon. My other kids are older now, but we have a 3 year old who I can't wait to introduce to Adventure Time!!
I started watching this with my little 7 year old and loved how crazy and trippy and artistic this show was. Now my 7 year old is 17, and I have a little 3 year old and I’m still here watching cartoons with my kids lol
Dude adventure time's ending just put a feeling in me that literally no other piece of Media has It's one of those feelings that just can't be described Like a mixture of nostalgia,happiness,relief and hope I think most of the cartoons that are directed to both children and adults usually have really good endings (EX: adventure time and regular show) Because... well... Other cartoons that AREN'T directed to both children and adults usually DON'T end Because kids have no expectations They'll just watch anything that's mildly entertaining And that's why these types of cartoons are sadly much more profitable And they have absolutely ridiculous episode counts to make more money And there usually isn't even a story Just random events in random episodes And pretty much the only reason these cartoons might end is if they get cancelled because of a random cause Edit: if you made it this far and read the whole thing then I just wanna say Thank you for letting me waste your time and I hope you enjoyed my rant
Man, I miss this series, it's been so long. Loved coming home to it after school in middle school. Those were the days without worries. It began When I was 12, Now I'm 25 years old, so many good shows when I was younger. These days I can't find much enjoyment in the current cartoons aired. I miss regular show too. Damn.

Man I’m about to get emotional since this cartoon is my absolute favorite in story and random wise the older seasons were whole random but the newer season driven out to be one of the best seasons of cartoon history.

The storyline has a truly eerie undertone. Especially with the virus outbreak in the human island, the litch, and a whole bunch of other supernatural stuff. And the writing is absolutely genius in connecting all the weird contexts. Definitely my best Cartoon network animated series. Even searched and downloaded the original "Island Song" credits soundtrack by Ashely Eriksson.
It seems like a very surface level rendition of adventure Time. It seems like the creator just read from the wiki and never actually watched the entire show. A lot of the characters he got incorrect like Kara and BMO. Kara is not Karla. BMO is pronounced bee moe not Bee em oh. Marceline doesn't suck the souls from people because she's a vampire. She sucks the souls from people because she's part demon. I know it's silly to get worked up over fictional universe, but for fans of the show this is jarring and just doesn't feel right.
Thinking how this is a cartoon, a kid would never think the lore would go this deep. But I always wondered why some things happened in the show and why there were some cuts sometimes (also because of me not watching some episodes) so this is really enjoyable to watch for me, especially cause I love to watch and understand the lore of content I like. Aint all this astonishing.
The Huge Gum is Neddy P.B.'s brother Neddy was born and landed to a sharp rock that's why he was so afraid but he found a tree started sucking its roots that produce the Candy Kingdom's resources .
This video has a lot of flaws like saying the lich threw pb in the well but actually ice king dropped, king of ooo tricked pb but that never happened the candy people just voted her out, and saying orgalorg ruled the universe but he didn’t he only ruled the solar system.
This show means so much to me man. It’s so much deeper than most think. Gotta love the direction the writers took when it got off the ground and became super popular.
Marceline is actually part human part demon & after her mom abandoned her she was found by Simon and after they left each other marceline became a vampire hunter and was bit by the vampire king.

I only managed to watch up until before Chapter 3 some years back. Really need to pick this series up again. It's just such an actual wild well built world of adventure.
This show was confusing, the first time I watched I thought it was just another kids show but the further the show progresses it becomes weirder and crazier in an awesome way.

When I was small *4 years old* I saw adventure time on cartoon Network and I used to watch it everyday and I never knew what was happening so when I was watching this I got some serious nostalgia because I remembered those moments 😢
this was my favorite childhood cartoon ever, now that I'm older I get to catch up and finished all of the episodes in a week. Feels weird it ended, but It's fun that I grew with this show and still felt that their adventures will never end. Also the plot was awesome now that I get it than when I was a kid.
This show was the best thing to me when i was in high school & i really tired to follow up with it, very much confusing but it was always something about it. I guess i never got tired of cartoonetwork ❤
WOW, I barely knew the beginning of the story because on TV you only saw scattered episodes and I had to connect them in my mind. I didn’t know there was so much lore behind this masterpiece and I don’t know whether to be happy to have been able to know the whole story or sad because I “spoilered” it to me

The best part about adventure time is that the show really shows how humanity would try so hard to keep fragments of humanity still alive / sane and the bounds we’d go for each other as the last on earth. Truly amazing work
Finn losing his arm is definitely something his incarnate might do. who knows if Shermy will have the same fate. Also for a 1000 years there should be a Finn and Jake version after then but before Beth and Shermy. So technically there should be 10 or so reincarnates of Finn and Jake. As such, the adventure continues.
Pretty sad that Finn lost an arm. I also wish he never did though. At least the 2nd time he lost an arm, he had a metal arm. He used that to fight.

Adventure Time aired when I was 5. I started watching it and loving it since I was 8. Back then I didn't expect it to be so complicated until i rewatch it for the second time back in quarantine. Time flies so fast and I am 18 now and still love this show! I'm rewatching it again for the 3rd time

I started watching this with my kids, they trailed off a bit but I was hooked and finished the whole thing myself!!! I thought it was just a funny, goofy cartoon but it got gradually deeper and I think it was the part where Simon sacrifices himself to save Marcelleine that got me really invested, i think as a parent i could relate to his willingness to sacrifice everything to save her, which is not something you expect from a cartoon. My other kids are older now, but we have a 3 year old who I can't wait to introduce to Adventure Time!!

And pretty much the only reason these cartoons might end is if they get cancelled because of a random cause

Man, I miss this series, it's been so long. Loved coming home to it after school in middle school. Those were the days without worries. It began When I was 12, Now I'm 25 years old, so many good shows when I was younger. These days I can't find much enjoyment in the current cartoons aired. I miss regular show too. Damn.

The storyline has a truly eerie undertone. Especially with the virus outbreak in the human island, the litch, and a whole bunch of other supernatural stuff. And the writing is absolutely genius in connecting all the weird contexts. Definitely my best Cartoon network animated series. Even searched and downloaded the original "Island Song" credits soundtrack by Ashely Eriksson.
It seems like a very surface level rendition of adventure Time. It seems like the creator just read from the wiki and never actually watched the entire show. A lot of the characters he got incorrect like Kara and BMO. Kara is not Karla. BMO is pronounced bee moe not Bee em oh. Marceline doesn't suck the souls from people because she's a vampire. She sucks the souls from people because she's part demon. I know it's silly to get worked up over fictional universe, but for fans of the show this is jarring and just doesn't feel right.

Thinking how this is a cartoon, a kid would never think the lore would go this deep. But I always wondered why some things happened in the show and why there were some cuts sometimes (also because of me not watching some episodes) so this is really enjoyable to watch for me, especially cause I love to watch and understand the lore of content I like. this was my favorite childhood cartoon ever, now that I'm older I get to catch up and finished all of the episodes in a week. Feels weird it ended, but It's fun that I grew with this show and still felt that their adventures will never end. Also the plot was awesome now that I get it than when I was a kid.

WOW, I barely knew the beginning of the story because on TV you only saw scattered episodes and I had to connect them in my mind.
