@@gangstahhh The Logitech DD feels good but IMO there are better options for the money. The Logitech ecosystem also seems dead. Other than a shifter no options for a different wheel style. Consider the Moza R12 wheelbase with Moza KS wheel is $840. Add in Moza CRP pedals for %460 and total Moza setup is $1300. Logitech Pro DD is $1000 + Logitech G Pro pedals $349 the total is $1349. With Moza you can also change the wheel and they have a good assortment of accessories-shifter, handbrake. Maybe Logitech will have more wheels in the future. The worse part about the G Pro for me is the location of the rotary knobs. The left one more awkward than the right one. As a racer that may adjust brake bias for different corners the angle and location of this knob meant I had to move my hand longer than on other wheels or not at all as some wheels this adjustment is a thumb wheel.
And yet funny thing one of the top iRacing guys is a NASCAR driver that uses a Dell Laptop and cheap Logitech wheel/pedals for around $3000 total and he drives circles around those other NASCAR drivers that spent $300k+ on their rigs.

Jay as a sim racer and oc gamer whose followed you from day 1 ID LOVE TO SEE MORE OF THIS. Its become such a big convoluted market now and id love to see you cut through it all like you did with water cooling
Ive had my rig for about 2yrs now and i still make small seat changes here and there. Sometimes i dont know what i enjoy more, tinkering with my rig or racing. 😂
7:19 Those pedals on the display rig are the HE Ultimate Pedals, not the HE Sprints, not the same. Also if you flip the side mount seat brackets around and put the 4 hole side towards your pedals, you can get more rake on the seat.
Please please please start including sim racing games in hardware review tests. Including a triple screen setup, absolutely no one else is doing it and it'd help massively for anyone else who has a triple screen setup or is thinking of getting one.
No we have to see how the newest gpus run gta5 at 300fps at 4k. Screw those sim racers running ultrawides at 155fps or triples at 60-120fps at 4k per sceeen, the only ones actually pushing hardware are going in totally blind its almost silly.
Indeed. I briefly lived near Seattle and got to visit a Micro center once; Left with a much lighter wallet. The next best chain I had ever frequented was a lousy CompUSA - which is like the difference between Walmart and Home Depot’s tool section. No comparison. Micro-center was like browsing NewEGG and Amazon in person.
Slip angle systems is something you should look into. Its a bass shaker on each corner but you mount your rig on a sping setup that has it float instead of transfering the feedback through the floor.
Love seeing the sim racing stuff on the channel. You REALLY need to give some oval racing a chance in iRacing. It gets really intense and is very fun. I have a Simagic Alpha Ultimate and I love it. Having over 20nm of torque sounds like overkill but it’s nice to have that extra dynamic range for those things that give sharp jolts like curbs and wrecks. Plus the stronger motors tend to have more detail in the smaller effects too. I also have the Sprint pedals and they have been great but I think I’m going to try the Simagic P1000 pedals next with the hydraulic brake and the actuators for traction control, ABS, and such. Nothing like turning off the lights in a triple monitor rig and doing some wheel to wheel racing.
Just made the switch from sprints to p1000 hydraulics myself. Loving them so far and the ease of dialing in the brake feel with their elastomer set up is waaay better. Out of the box their clutch was way too light but once you tighten up the preload it feels fine. I do think the sprints do the bite point feel better, but it's the least used pedal so I don't mind.
I wish I had a Microcenter store closer to me. The Tustin store is about 75 miles away from here. I just bought a Simucube Pro 2 direct from Simucube to replace my Fanatec wheel base then Microcenter had the GSI Wheel I wanted online so I had it shipped to me. That was a Logitech G923 on display which is basically a G920/G29 with trueforce and they are all gear driven which is notchy, the Logitech PRO Racing wheel which was in the bigger boxes on the right and also has trueforce but is direct drive, also pedals can either use potentiometers or load cells for the brakes which can also make a huge difference in pressure required, consistency and realism

I just dropped $5k on a Simagic rig. I think this hobby is really going to take off this year. I hope we see some more simcade games with great physics, like GT7, with fun career modes to get people the skills to compete as well as fun muliti-player. It's a lot more forgiving and enjoyable than dropping into Assetto Corso and failing constantly (though they have a new career mode as well I've learned). The real issue with sim racing games is the massive player drop-off after launch, it seems long term sim racers always trend back to the old tried and true games rather than the new stuff. I really hope next year has some great stuff because this year forza, wrc and the crew were all pretty disappointing on launch for all the hype they had. I have hope for wrc but knowing how long it took dirt 2.0 to get to where its at and the fact that it's more fun has me trending back to the old tried and true whenever I boot up the pc.
Jay, that Cooler Master case is SERIOUSLY BAD ASS!!!! I built a 12900K/4080 full water cooled gaming rig in one and WOW was it easy to build in!!! The RGB is amazing on it and the front round display does all kinds of neato stuff for that little display!!
I also got three Ultra gear monitors for my setup and those big mounting plates that come with the monitor stand cover up all the inputs on the back of the monitor..lol you might want to check that while your waiting for bolts. I changed the plates out for the Advanced sim Racing mounts and it gives you all the adjustability that you need to get the bezels lined up perfectly
Don't use NV Surround for triples! Almost every sim these days support independent triples for a proper FOV for each individual monitor. A quick search and you'll find the proper settings.
I don't have the green version, but that monitor stand is a pretty good deal. For the price of a typical 80-20 single monitor stand, TK Racing offers a triple stand. All the benefits of it being an aluminum extrusion stand, meaning you can mix and match different MFG's parts if you wanted. Sim-lab's Xero play hinges, custom plates and even proprietary parts from Simracing Cockpits will fit and work like a charm. Its a steal at what TK Racing is asking
The G29 was actually cutting edge when it was first introduced. Probably close to 10 years ago. I anticipated it at the time in the same way most people do with fanatec now 😅 It boasted helical cut gears that eliminated the gear mesh sound created by straight cut gears. I was stunned a few months ago when I started looking at what's available on the market now. But it made me feel good to see that what I have is still sold. So now it's considered entry level. Just recently found you. They're about to build a Micro Center where I live, and in the past two days your videos have gotten my anticipation up
Brackets for the seat. What you want to do is switch the left to the right and right to the left. Then the 80/20 that holds the seat, spread it out more so the brackets fit on top of it again. This is how you get your seat to tilt back more and have the front come up higher. No more bolts hitting the underside of your seat. I hope this helps.
More SimRacing and Sim content for the non-car people would be interesting, even if only discussing it with site pictures. As a Canadian, I was wondering if Micro Center is going to expand to North of the 49th? We have Best Buy & WalMart as our big box stores, in the prairies, at least. Due to the pandemic, the specialty shops for computer hardware mostly dried up, with the only ones remaining being corporate suppliers. Keep up the great content, and thank you.
As an R5 Bundle owner going from an OLD hand me down and broken Thrustmaster, it is a huge leap and is awesome! Definitely worth checking out for your first DD setup. Their software is coming along nicely too in my experience. My whole rig is at about $1000 all in (with the KS wheel) minus PC related hardware (which includes VR for my use case). Don't feel like you need a ridiculous rig to have a great time. I've already competed in official series.
Was the MOZA R5 he showed in the video at 2:51 include pedals, the wheel base, and the steering wheel, or was it just the wheel base and the steering wheel?
Literally waiting on my Simagic P1000s to arrive today. Out for delivery. Ive been a sim racer aince...1998? 1999? I had a CH racing wheel and pedals. Ancient. But i do VR because my ultra fast days are behind me. I was a top % iRacer back in my day but I dont have the time now for it. VR is so immersive in simulators, its the best way to enjoy it if you arent super fast. I just refuse to give Asetek money since theyre the bane of our existence for pc cooling thanks to their opporessive patents. Probably going to go the 8020 route for when i upgrade my actual rig. Still using an Obutto Ozone.
Got into sim racing a little earlier this year and I’m already about $11k deep in the hobby, between the profile rig, wheel set up and 4090 PC plus 1440p triples. No regrets at all though, it’s brought back a lot of love for gaming and PCs for me, next on the list is the PSVR2 for gt7. Really wish there was a bit more console compatibility with the wheelbases though, I ended up having to go fully fanatec just so I could also have PlayStation compatibility. Love the gear I have a lot, but it would have been nice to have some higher end options for pedals, a shifter, and certain steering wheels.
That sim rig seems like a great design because it's just Aluminum 4080 profiles with bolts holding it together. Something you could make yourself for about 50-100$ of material....only issue is the mounting platforms, those you need to buy!
There's force feed back that goes the extra mile. servo four post and helmet force. It move your head to simulate g-force. Super cool. Or slide axis movements too. 4dof degrees of freedom
Might be to late, but If you put your seat brackets on backwards, you can tilt the seat further back. I had mine fully reclined the right way and it still felt like 90 degrees.
That monitor stand is currently a steal at MC for $250. The part where you finally realize why it was only $250 is when you're trying to align monitors on it.
A little bit of a correction for you, Jayz: the Logitech G Pro is actually a direct drive wheel, it's just that its ecosystem is too limited because Logitech hasn't figured out the way to support it more than it should have been so far.
You should pay more attention while building....the damage on the profile is not because you tightened the screws but because the screws you used were too long. Look in the instruction manual, they should state the length of the screws needed for each step of assembly. Like the rig but I prefer the Sim Lab P1X... Ps. you will love that GSI wheel :)
For sim rig used by multiple different height pple might suggest getting a separate pedal plate mounted on sliders so not only can the seat be repositioned so can the pedals giving you more flexibility with adjustment and fine tuning with a simple addition to your rig hope that helps if you try it
you should move the E stop to be near your feet. If you get caught up in your wheel it will be hard to use your hands to hit the button where as you could just smash it with your foot.
Love this stuff. About to build my new rig over the next few days! Went with the Sim Lab GT1-Evo 2 from Microcenter, but got a Fanatec setup prior to realizing I could have done better with Asatek at Microcenter. At least all the 8020 profile stuff is interchangeable for the most part. In any case, love living near one when being into sim racing for sure.
I have that rig. Trust me, ditch the corner brackets where the side arm bolts to the center monitor been. The side arm plates will go right over the center monitor profile without needing the corner brackets. It’s the way literally every other monitor stand is built
2:30, I just wanted to mention something, Jay all the top racing series in the world have power steering. F1, Indycar, NASCAR, Rally Cars, all relatively undriveable without power steering due to the conditions and tire size.
Nice starter-setup😁 I've the same base, but with 7 shakers, SimXperience G-Seat and G-Belt and other stuff like h-shifter, sequential shifter, handbrake, Pimax 8KX etc.
Just sold my Fanatec belt driven rig and pedals and went with a Moza R9, KS wheel and Heusinkveld Sprint pedals. Using a couple year old Rseat rig and a 48” LG OLED.
You still need something like the sim-lab vario's for the triple mounts. It's gonna make your life SO MUCH easier when mounting the monitors and aligning them.
I have the Sim lab Xp-1 pedals, they really are fantastic and going under the radar at the moment. I have the Asetek wheelbase (love it) and really wanted the asetek pedals but they just didn't match up to the XP1's. Would be great to have stores like this in the UK. Loved the vid guys👍👍👍
I love that microcenter has sim stuff I recently upgraded my sim to triples and absolutely love it! I personally don't use nivida surround unless I have too. But iracing and AC don't require it and that's 90% of what I play
This is cool. I've recently been getting into racing myself. I Bought me one of those Logitech G920 with shifter mounted on a Next Level Racing Stand and I love it. I'm not a huge racing nut so the setup I have is just perfect for me. The thing about G920 though, don't underestimate it's Lil 'Moter, when I first got it, the wheel nearly pulled out of my hands. Not as accurate as the more expensive sims but it does a great job.
when i went to microcenter to get a laptop i had the chance to try out one of these rigs they had on display, i gotta train legs more is what i learned
Wow Dude!!! I didn't know you where into sim racing!! Welcome man, Hope to see you on iRacing. I started on the same rig and then I just went full custom. My next big upgrade is a Simucube Active Pedal from my break pedal. I know this video is 5 months old and maybe you already have one, but if you dont, look into them. I will be checking back on ya. Stoked your sim racing!

Still using an Obutto Ozone.
i really love the color scheme, olive green gold makes it look extra cool
Microcenter looks to have you and @Austin Evans build the same exact setup you guys should race each other.
As an avid sim racer, love the content Jay. More of this!
Entertaining post Christmas content, thanks for the video Jay!
Just bought Asetek gear and an 80/20 rig. It's an amazing experience.
The Logi G pro looks like its decent. It just needs to be half the price it was when introduced to compete with all the competition launched after it.
You have a 3d printer, man. Use that to make your steamdeck mount!
Was thinking the same thing. The price of the bracket is almost as much as the Stream Deck.
I recommend putting the emergency stop button near your feet in the case your hands do get caught in the wheel, you can hit the button with your foot.
I'm shocked there are actual brick and mortar stores that carry sim racing gear, so cool! SO jealous!
Are you guys going to do a racing go-kart for Phil? 🤣🤣
J/K!
great setup just confused why the kill switch is not near the foot pedal that would be the best for safety for the dd wheel.
Micro center needs a store in every state. There isn't one here in Montana and it drives me nuts
I dont know about the TK rig accessories, but all my Sim-Lab T-nuts you can clip in directly in the slot, dont have to slide them in from the end
Msn I always would love a sim rig but the great stuff will set me like a small house in my country 😂
I have that rig. Trust me, ditch the corner brackets where the side arm bolts to the center monitor been. The side arm plates will go right over the center monitor profile without needing the corner brackets. It’s the way literally every other monitor stand is built
That TK cockpit is gorgeous.
cool, I was there a few weeks ago and drove that exact same simulator. It was so much fun!
2:30, I just wanted to mention something, Jay all the top racing series in the world have power steering. F1, Indycar, NASCAR, Rally Cars, all relatively undriveable without power steering due to the conditions and tire size.
Super nice setup! Good to see the interest in sim racing and the incredible range of hardware available.
Bought this same set up and it's great value for money!
dang i love that green frame. looks soooo good
Nice starter-setup😁 I've the same base, but with 7 shakers, SimXperience G-Seat and G-Belt and other stuff like h-shifter, sequential shifter, handbrake, Pimax 8KX etc.
Just cover the scratches with racing stickers! MORE FPS!!!!
i love Jayz take on racing sims, we need more!!!!!!!!!!!
I would love to see more Sim Racing content as well but I would really like to have seen the full build from start to finish and the total cost.
Got a budget setup for sim drifting. Doing media for drifting events made me wanna learn how to drift and get a car to do it irl some day.
The simucube stuff micro center has is top notch
Anyone checking out the TK Bundle it's a great value for a rig. Having the triple screen mount included in for the price of p1x.
bro does this guy ever finish a build on his videos? He gets like 98% of the way there and then we don't even ever get to see him play a game or mount a screen even.
A sim rig is never finished 😅
Jay stop edging me with sim content once a year give it to me more often dang
17:20 Red, green and gold. It's a christmas build :D
One of the funniest bits was when Jay's on his back and you see the screen behind playing "The Office US".
Well, that episode is about a guy who flashed Phillis.
And that exact scene is about 5 minutes in the episode.
Where Michael doesn't understand the concept of Flashing 🤣
Edit; It is a good thing the camera wasn't showing too much of the episode 🤣
Get it!!!!
I wanna see some race vids!!!!!
Office tourney!!!
Wow, I am surprised all of that stuff fit in the R8. Nice job. Great video. Love the energy.
Move the kill switch to your knee area.. if the wheel starts spinning and your hands are caught in the wheel, you can tap the stop with you knee.
More Sim Racing Content Pls!!! I love these vids!
Bought my moza r5 at that very store, it comes with pedals jay so it’s even more of a bang for your buck. I love mine!
I really wish there's Micro Center has a store here in Malaysia... Many options like direct drive wheels, 3D printers and PC hardware are either hard to find or not available.
Once I can finally upgrade my computer(tuff times). I coming for you guys on the track lol.. computer crapped out and could only get like 35fps on the sim. are you on iracing?
