Am wondering why do they have a partition between dining and living room, the home becomes too very tight if there is no wall in between them. A Curtain or a small folded partition could be a better option to give a little privacy

The cost is only for foundation, walls and ceiling.... not for the interior decor. It is the interior decor that gives a rich look to this house. I guess, the builder is clear in what he trying to explain as Construction cost. 17 Lakhs for 1150 Sq. Feet is still 10-15% cheaper than the prevailing market rate in Kerala.
I didn't like the concept of two attached bathrooms. In case any guest arrives he will have to intrude into privacy. There should be atleast one bathroom near the dinning space for others
