7:25 uncommon fact: in homicide cases, a defense of involuntary intoxication may be used to reduce or eliminate defendant’s responsibility for their crime. this is an incredibly rare defense. however, of the 18 cases involving antidepressants, zoloft (sertraline) was the substance listed in 7 cases. that is nearly double the second most common substance (prozac aka fluoxetine appears in 4 cases).
the defense is incredibly rare because it’s nearly impossible to prove (for obvious reasons). in order for this defense to be successful, the defendant must prove that they did not know they consumed an intoxicating substance (like being drugged) and/or they were not aware of the intoxicating properties when the substance was consumed all medications say not to drive or operate heavy machine until you know how a medication effects you so the drug company can’t be held responsible if someone causes an accident as a result of medication side effects. in case anyone cares, of the 18 cases i mentioned, only two of them were successful in reducing the defendant’s responsibility. those 18 cases range from the years 1960 to 2015.

My thoughts here - how and why would someone kill someone over a cartoon
Also me - threatening to go kill whoever’s fault it is that we got a Cleveland Brown spinoff instead of Quagmire
Do South Park Next, Please 🙏
wow that joke in the bowling episode was gallows humour
I wonder if the simpsons predicted any of the murders.
Andy Dick is a good example of nomative determinism
With the Simpsons showing no signs of stopping why time soon. If only it would, it's been dead for years.
Pretty sure they did the fake prize winning busts way before the Simpsons were around.
Andy Dick is a terrible person for many, many reasons - But blaming him for the murder-suicide is ridiculous.
He got the drugs for the wife...
Buca di Beppo sounds like someone doing a bad Italian impression and turns out that’s because it was founded by a non-Italian and was meant to be gaudy and offensive. We don’t have them in my state but now I want twenty
He hid from police under the fake name villain???!!!
It's crazy to see how irrelevant the show has become
matt groening epstein story? nope? he drew a pic for him on the plane...
Ah yes the legendary Lionel Hutz
Aka Miguel Sanchez
Aka Dr Ngeyun Van Phoc
You look like a buff Jack quaid
Jon Lovitz wasn't just furious with Andy Dick. The next time he saw Andy Dick he beat him within an inch of his life to the point where other actors had to pull him off Andy Dick before he killed him.
Thought she shot him in the back as he ran?
Everything I've read about the case (including Hartman's biography) say she shot him while he was in bed.
Wow! A minute upload and Im here haha
"Dick Villain" is a bit on the lower horn.
The real life South park Murders
That last story was ridiculous to be censored. It happened a month after the episode aired.
I wonder if he was related to Butch Hartman
