I hate when people blame media for shit like this. Anyone that's willing to kill someone was already going to do that before watching a show, hearing a song, or playing a game. Especially when it comes to the psychosis of thinking a character told you to kill someone.
This reminded me of the Story about a psycho RUclips killer name Randy Stair who was not a man but an extension of a true form who was obsessed with Ember McLain from Danny Phantom, Butch Hartman the creator of the show once explained that her story of being unpopular in high school with dreams of becoming a rock star but died in her home after the case of a fire flame🔥from a candle that burned her house. Randy at the time who also had difficult issues in high school as well and that his love obsession with ember effected him to be accused as a serial killer.
I’m not a parent but this stuck with me- when she says she thought SpongeBob would kill her if she didn’t kill her daughter. Again, not a parent, but wouldn’t you sacrifice yourself for your child no matter what? For context, I spent most of my 20s in psych wards. I’ve seen schizophrenia and psychosis and drug addled minds. I get mental illness. But I just don’t how if she truly believed she would be killed… wouldn’t she want her own daughter to survive? Edit: I have not watched the entire video yet. Please don’t accuse me of making light of mental illness!!…. I’ve seen the worst of it. Got stabbed once too with a dull yet sharp object. The guy was psychotic and I get it. But this story is different. He (who stabbed me with a left-behind item (staff accidentally left it out). This seems different. What I’m getting at is this- this doesn’t align with the psych patients I spent time with over all those years. Idk. Everyone is different but in my experiences, this doesn’t add up. Edit: I’m doing much better now!! Haven’t had a hospitalization in 2 years and have a job, an apartment, and a cuddly rabbit..
I haven’t watched yet too, but apparently she was doing meth and heroin and all sorts of stuff to make her decision making poor. Still most addicts don’t kill people Also I’m really happy for you getting better and having a lovely bunny rabbit! 🐰☺️👍🏆
@@shinobipizza Thank you so much!! I am so grateful for my health these days. I’m on a lot of meds (which I will be on for life) and still in therapy, but it’s finally working after so many years. Thank you again!
I don’t think it’s fair to restore someone to sanity and *then* hold them responsible for things they did while totally insane. That’s the purpose of the insanity defense. She should have been placed in treatment and then monitored closely if she were ever to be released to ensure she remained on medication and could be recalled as needed.
You see the problem is she killed her child. She didn't go out and drive like a lunatic, she didn't steal things, she didn't just assault someone, and she didn't even kill another adult person. It was a kid, _her_ kid, and the general consensus of humanity, even criminals, is that you don't rape women or children and you don't _kill_ women or children. And when you _do_ do that it makes people extra mad. I understand where you're coming from, and even agree with it to an extent (even Plato thought similar), but that sort of thing becomes far harder to justify in the eyes of the people, me included, when you straight up MURDER someone, especially a child. I'm not saying it's rational or not an example of making an exemption because of anger at the accused/convicted, but when insanity _has_ been used as a way to get killer parents off it has _never_ gone over well with the general public and pretty much ensures your life is ruined to the point where you'll probably never hold a stable job nor be safe in or out of prison and jail. I'll say this though the insanity plea hasn't always worked. Just look up the "Vampire of Sacramento." His name was Richard Chase, a schizophrenic killer and necrophile whose delusions gave him the idea his blood would turn to sand if he didn't kill people and drink their blood; he even killed and ate the organs of a literal baby. He was still sentenced to death via the gas chamber because they were able to prove that he was planning his kills so he wouldn't get caught and imprisoned/sentenced to death. Sorry for the grizzly story but, you know, there have been exceptions to the whole insanity plea where someone genuinely _is_ mentally ill but still gets sentenced normally.
@@dantethewanderer4989 based on what's said in the video, she was determined to not have been aware, so how is your story anything other than "no we should always treat people harshly because of this horrible story?" I also don't see how him planning means he wasn't still aware it was illegal to do what he did. Your story is so incredibly flawed as if because it can go wrong, fuck anyone who ever had a mental health crisis where violence happened. "General consensus of humanity" means nothing when someone is that deeply disturbed. Just say it's because you too think they should be made an example of and treated harshly to make the public happy and be done. It'll save you and others times.
@@user-zs2io8cg7c I think she should be prosecuted for the things that she did, actions have consequences and insanity isn't an excuse, just an explanation. I think regardless of her understanding of the crime, I do not want someone capable of MURDERING KIDS contributing to society; that seems a really unreasonable risk for the idea of fairness towards a convicted child slayer?
See, the issue with insanity defense is that most states don't even have it, the reason why it's so prevalent is because of Law and Order, which is set in New York, which does have an insanity plea

That first case actually makes me really pissed at how the justice system handled it. Drug Addicts are treated like scum of the Earth when Substance Abuse is LITERALLY a mental disorder! These people need HELP, not life in jail! She knew she was guilty! She FELT guilty! Make her take regular drug screenings since we know she reacts negatively to them in addition to her mental health issues, but keeping her permanently incarcerated is cruel! Though, I’m sure as the guilty party, she’d probably disagree. She probably blames herself so much, and I feel so bad for her :(
No, it isn't. You must be American. Your whole existence is finding ways to absolve yourselves of responsibility. How did she get initially get addicted?
you have to be insane yourself, right? no sane person says this. "i feel so bad for the baby murderer!!! not the baby who was murdered, f*ck that" she is a danger to SOCIETY.

its insane the first woman got life in prison, even despite her tragic circumstances and it being clear she showed remorse Edit: after seeing the second case where someone murdered after getting drunk only getting 40 years when compared to her life sentence, this is made more bizarre
She was already diagnosed with anxiety, ADHD, BPD, Bipolar Disorder, and has a heroin addiction, pretty sure those won't go away in a couple of years. And if she got less than that, people would've complained.
You'd be surprised how many people fake it to get a lighter sentence. She also doesn't deserve it. She brutally stabbed her own child to death. Can you imagine Tom Kenny telling someone to kill somebody in a Spongebob voice? I'm sorry, I know this is serious but the way it sounds in my head is cracking me up. 😅🤣🤣
I hate to say that's actually how I first heard about this case. There was a meme floating around with the SpongeBob ai over the article headline saying that. In my defense, I didn't actually think that was a real article at first. Then I learned it was. Pretty sad that the girl lost her life, especially in such a horrible way
2:45 For some reason, the only thing I thought when they said "spongebob had spoken to her to kill them" I thought of those like ai spongebob voices possibly saying stuff like "oh, kill them, they're bad for you..." 😭
To be honest, I feel like spongebob should be going for world domination where any one including a criminal would just praise a cartoon character that actually effect lives, god help us all.
What I don't understand are the requirements to call out "Insanity" and bail on any potential sentencing. Basically some cold, intentional killers could just describe themselves mentally insane and get away with it while others with serious mental health issues get the short end of the stick? Not saying she didn't deserve her sentence, but people literally abuse the system to put themselves in places where that mother ought to be. It's rigged.
an insanity plea isn't sunshine and rainbows, it often doesn't work (if you're sane) and even if it does and you're genuinely not insane then you're lawyer fucked up
From the comments making Mr. Krabs jokes, I thought Mr. Krabs's voice actor would be involved in drugs. Guess not. And Squidward's voice actor making himself more guilty than he was? Bruh, that's just goofy.

GUN SAFETY, REMEMBER IT! If you're showing off a gun, either don't have it loaded OR engage the safety to avoid negligent discharge! It's a simple thing to learn!
@muhelectionwasstolen7253So conservatives like being dangerous and accidentally shooting people like the person in this video, got it.
Better not show off a gun at all.
Better not show off at all.
I hate when people blame media for shit like this. Anyone that's willing to kill someone was already going to do that before watching a show, hearing a song, or playing a game. Especially when it comes to the psychosis of thinking a character told you to kill someone.
Violent videogames don't make violent people they were already violent
Some people believe that SpongeBob is a demon, but in real life, he really isn't.
That first one feels like a weird creepypasta
Of course Squidward would drive a P.T. Cruiser.
another worse crime involving SpongeBob is the live-action p0rn parodies, makes you want to wash your eyes with acid.
Can we just recognize the millionaire voice of squidward drives a PT Cruiser?
This reminded me of the Story about a psycho RUclips killer name Randy Stair who was not a man but an extension of a true form who was obsessed with Ember McLain from Danny Phantom, Butch Hartman the creator of the show once explained that her story of being unpopular in high school with dreams of becoming a rock star but died in her home after the case of a fire flame🔥from a candle that burned her house. Randy at the time who also had difficult issues in high school as well and that his love obsession with ember effected him to be accused as a serial killer.
the gamer from mars always has a video of an event i've never heard of
"TAHAHAHAH, Its me SpongeBob stab your daughter"
"Eh you got it boss"
Just remember that SpongeBob did nothing wrong.
Squidward disagrees.
Haven’t had a hospitalization in 2 years and have a job, an apartment, and a cuddly rabbit..
schizo alert
Right
Who would throw their daughter to SpongeBob instead of protecting her. Good call
I haven’t watched yet too, but apparently she was doing meth and heroin and all sorts of stuff to make her decision making poor. Still most addicts don’t kill people
Also I’m really happy for you getting better and having a lovely bunny rabbit! 🐰☺️👍🏆
Good job! I wish you the best.
@@shinobipizza Thank you so much!! I am so grateful for my health these days. I’m on a lot of meds (which I will be on for life) and still in therapy, but it’s finally working after so many years. Thank you again!
"I'm ready!" For jail that is.
@@dantethewanderer4989but that's just one example it's not like all of them hasn't work
@@dantethewanderer4989 based on what's said in the video, she was determined to not have been aware, so how is your story anything other than "no we should always treat people harshly because of this horrible story?" I also don't see how him planning means he wasn't still aware it was illegal to do what he did.
See, the issue with insanity defense is that most states don't even have it, the reason why it's so prevalent is because of Law and Order, which is set in New York, which does have an insanity plea
hey bro, you should probably put the sponsor at the start. having it right after baby murder is whiplash 😂
@muhelectionwasstolen7253 No.
No it's not.
This is proof Tonal Whiplash exists
creepypasta authors gonna go wild with this one
The thought of SpongeBob telling me through my tv to do such a thing and if I didn’t do it he would kill me as punishment is terrifying, it’s like something out of an x files episode
"Hey Patrick!"
"What's up SpongeBob?"
"Just told a psychopathic mother with drug issues to kill her daughter as a joke!"
"Uhh, SpongeBob?"
"Yes?"
*"You fucked up she actually killed the kid."*
*"Aw shi-"*

That first case actually makes me really pissed at how the justice system handled it. Drug Addicts are treated like scum of the Earth when Substance Abuse is LITERALLY a mental disorder! These people need HELP, not life in jail! She knew she was guilty! She FELT guilty! Make her take regular drug screenings since we know she reacts negatively to them in addition to her mental health issues, but keeping her permanently incarcerated is cruel!
Though, I’m sure as the guilty party, she’d probably disagree. She probably blames herself so much, and I feel so bad for her :(
Yeah except you can't be a murderer and not be mentally ill
@@mojowasabi8823It doesn't matter
No, it isn't. You must be American. Your whole existence is finding ways to absolve yourselves of responsibility. How did she get initially get addicted?
She stabbed an infant to death. Her own kin. Her mercy is the fact she's not being put to death.
you have to be insane yourself, right? no sane person says this.
"i feel so bad for the baby murderer!!! not the baby who was murdered, f*ck that"
she is a danger to SOCIETY.
I think people can ask what the hell is SpongeBob anymore? Is a
It a shell of its former self? A nostalgia show? One of Nickelodeon’s fossils? We’ll truly never know what SpongeBob really is a still remains a mystery
I feel like the voice she heard wasn't SpongeBob but actually Wooldoor Sockbat
☠️😂
“That we will be reunited again” if I were the child that would be the last thing I would want even at 3 I would be in heaven seeking refuge
Amen to that.
I lost 10 days once. When I woke up in critical care, I wanted to know if I accidentally injured anyone. I cared about that way more than whether I was ok.
Drug induced or a psychotic break with reality?
@@Cooe. I had 12 seizures and was smoking 6 grams of weed every day.
Did you injure anyone? I'm guessing no.
@doctorelijah no but I had to be resuscitated
@@duncanramsay9262 Alright, well good to see that you made it through that. Hope you're doing well!
I have no sympathy for this woman. She chose to take the drugs, her actions led to the impaired judgement that led to her killing her innocent child.
Every episode of SpongeBob is personalized
I met Mr. Bumpass last year and he was pretty awesome he said 3 quotes to my god child who couldn’t attend the comic con in person herself. She loved it and it was a honor to have met him
I would expect Squidward to be drunk driving
these criminals be like "I'm ready i'm ready to commit felonies"
Tbh, if any character in SpongeBob was to get a DUI, it would 100% be squidward
All children deserve parents, but not all parents deserve children.
Kinda sad that the only reason anyone will see this murder case is because a popular cartoon character's name was splashed all over the headlines
0:26 thanks to this show I was able to learn English and adopt it as my second language
“I’ve been waiting for you Patrick”
Lesson: Don't Do Drugs.
Just what I needed to start the morning. Thanks man.
Remember kids: _Don’t do drugs… and don’t listed to animated cartoons speaking to you trough television._
That’s all folks!
The first one sounds like a creepypasta irl
its insane the first woman got life in prison, even despite her tragic circumstances and it being clear she showed remorse
Edit: after seeing the second case where someone murdered after getting drunk only getting 40 years when compared to her life sentence, this is made more bizarre
She was already diagnosed with anxiety, ADHD, BPD, Bipolar Disorder, and has a heroin addiction, pretty sure those won't go away in a couple of years. And if she got less than that, people would've complained.
Because she is a danger to society, fault becomes secondary when you have a ticking time bomb walking around.
You'd be surprised how many people fake it to get a lighter sentence.
She also doesn't deserve it. She brutally stabbed her own child to death. She chosen to do drugs and she chosen to stay off her medication. Her daughter got brutally murdered by her own mother because of her own actions. She shouldn't be allowed to be released. She is dangerous. It's highly likely she would get back into drugs and/or stop taking her medication one day and cause harm or even brutally murdered someone else's kid. She's already shown that she's easily capable of it.
she's a danger to society and shouldn't be let out under any circumstances.
The spongebob connection in some of these cases is so flimsy and thin it makes it seem like you were trying to artificially extend the video for ads
And this channel started from funny 4chan prank compilations
Can you imagine Tom Kenny telling someone to kill somebody in a Spongebob voice? I'm sorry, I know this is serious but the way it sounds in my head is cracking me up. 😅🤣🤣
I hate to say that's actually how I first heard about this case. There was a meme floating around with the SpongeBob ai over the article headline saying that. In my defense, I didn't actually think that was a real article at first. Then I learned it was. Pretty sad that the girl lost her life, especially in such a horrible way
What she saw was a demon that took advantage of the fact she was on drugs. It just disguised itself as SpongeBob.
Spongy my boy you dropped napalm on civilians
L SpongeBob why would he stab someone.
Chris Chan was right. This dimensional merge is here, and SpongeBob is sick of Mr. Krabs bullshit.
not the drug packaging lol
"sup bro you got that spongebob krusty krack?"
I always knew Spongebob would be the death of me.
He was like “SpongeBob SquarePants lookin ahhhh”
I wonder how would SpongeBob feel if he found out that some crazy lady killed her young daughter, all because he told her to do so?
That wasn't SpongeBob Squarepants, that was RockLad Rectangleshorts
2:45 For some reason, the only thing I thought when they said "spongebob had spoken to her to kill them" I thought of those like ai spongebob voices possibly saying stuff like "oh, kill them, they're bad for you..." 😭
I can already imagine SpongeBob's nasally voice going *"KILL HER NOW! KILL HER NOW! KILL HER KILL HER!'*
The Roger thing saying they were lying mightve been an attempt to discredit the cops to get the case thrown out.
To be honest, I feel like spongebob should be going for world domination where any one including a criminal would just praise a cartoon character that actually effect lives, god help us all.
6:24 end of sponsor
Sponge Bob is a criminal mastermind.
1:18 the rainbow on the ADHD part was funny af 😭😭😭😭😭🤣🤣
What I don't understand are the requirements to call out "Insanity" and bail on any potential sentencing. Basically some cold, intentional killers could just describe themselves mentally insane and get away with it while others with serious mental health issues get the short end of the stick?
Not saying she didn't deserve her sentence, but people literally abuse the system to put themselves in places where that mother ought to be. It's rigged.
I know
an insanity plea isn't sunshine and rainbows, it often doesn't work (if you're sane) and even if it does and you're genuinely not insane then you're lawyer fucked up
From the comments making Mr. Krabs jokes, I thought Mr. Krabs's voice actor would be involved in drugs. Guess not.
And Squidward's voice actor making himself more guilty than he was? Bruh, that's just goofy.
Meth is wild. I swear, even after single use, i can hear what sounds like a radio/tv that sounds very faint. But it isnt there. It's wild
2016 in a blue pt cruiser is wild af 😭
WOW! Heroin and Meth?! That would turn Mr Rodgers into a fiend!
Seriousness aside, the whole situation comes off like a bad creepypasta. The ones that try a little too hard to make things scary.
SpongeBob would never tell you to do that.
Imagine using millions of dollars of police resources to bust marijuana
Imagine getting caught because your socks was seen on a post you made selling the stuff you stole💀
For some reason, I can now imagine a drunk Squidward after listening to that one with his VA.
I mean I hate SpongeBob (the new one and it’s god awful undeserved spin-offs) but damn bro…
You can't diagnose bipolar or personality disorders in teens. She's clearly got a personality disorder but this wouldn't have been diagnosed so young
incorrect - bipolar is often diagnosed in adolescents and teens, i should know because i was diagnosed with it and am disabled by court of law (i had early onset bipolar at 12)
Stole a balloon when it wasn’t free balloon day?
When will people learn
13:25 - Maybe it was sea-weed!
how much is 6 bars of marijuana? lol
She cannot blame this on the mental illness. Maybe you can put some blame on the drugs and they probably caused the extreme psychosis. She had but blaming it on the mental illness hurts everyone with mental illness. Such a tragedy.
