Fabulous landscape and a nice mix of conditions to walk in Carrie. I tend to not particularly like walking in the mist but once in a while I do, it gives a good feeling of real remoteness and escapism 👌. Good to see Grinton Lodge still operational as a YH too.
Hi Chris. I don't mind the mist so much but the gravel path was painful! My poor old feet. Yeah, I love youth hostels- it's sad when they close down. Grinton Lodge does well out of coast to coasters.
Carrie I’m in BC Canada but my British heritage from both parents has me frequently seeking countryside hikers & their walks, archeological digs with Time Team, Alice Robertson& all I can find. I love your strawberry red hair as I’m the only kid of seven kids that has auburn hair with the hypersensitive skin & freckles. Feeling a bit of kinship as a result. Really enjoyed your videos but hey, we’d love to see castles including the Hostel you stayed in. We have no castles here and so no magic or ancient history. I also love foraging for edible plants and teas so that could be added in if you know this stuff. I will be hiking to see identify plants once I learn my new GoPro 4! Cheers
Hello fellow redhead! My partner is the forager- maybe I could go out with him one day. I'll probably do more castles and ancient sites over the winter months when the weather isn't good for hiking in the hills :D
Nice one Carrie. Keep em coming. Atb
Thanks, more to come- next one's on Friday😄

Hi Phil, thanks and welcome to the channel :D
Thanks, and can’t wait for your next adventure 👍
The bleak tops are compensated for at this time of year by the purple of the heather 🟣.
Yeah, there were a few patches of purple around. Shame there wasn't much of a view from the tops.
