I scored 7/7 but I live with back pain and have looked for “cures/treatment” outside of the medical community. The best thing I’ve found is exercising.

Good job! Of course it sucks that you had to learnt his stuff the hard way. You're absolutely right, movement is medicine!

Someone that doesn’t go through has to learn it through a table/book while someone who does live it

I really appreciate your channel and its info is helping me a great deal. Thank you!
Would you, please, do a video on myths and truths about exercising with osteoporosis? It would be so timely! In the past few years there have been an avalanche of RUclips osteoporosis "gurus", whose exercise suggestions and insistances (especially with respect to maximally "loading" osteoporotic bones with heavy weights, often down right extreme) are all over the place and endangering (IMO) those with osteoporosis, who choose to follow those irresponsible exercise routines, suggestions and promptings.

Glad it's helpful! I'll give you the short story right now. For osteoporosis, the only thing to avoid is deep spinal flexion (forward bending), especially under load. That said, one of the most important things for OP is loading the body with heavy weight. Load, and Calcium + Vitamin D are really the only things that will reliably improve bone density and reduce the risk of fractures. The trick is that we need to very slowly and patiently work up to this. Yes, loading with heavy weight is safe, IF you've worked up to it over a long period of time. This process will look different for everyone, which is why IMO it's really important to have an expert design you a custom program with lots of feedback, check-ins, and support along the way to make sure you're not doing too much or too little.

Lol great job! Isn't it crazy that medical students only got 4/7? There are a lot of pervasive myths floating around out there!

I'm amazed at how many patients know more than their doctors about their condition. Craziness.

I don’t have any of those symptoms, but my doctor is recommending epidural steroid injection. What is your opinion on that? Thank you in advance and so glad I found your channel

Nicely done! You are officially smarter than a medical student (at least regarding back pain!)
