And now I’m working on renewing my certification I know its too early but I want to do little parts I don’t want to leave it last minute 😂 and I was about to email you to do video how to renew our certifications lol. I will go through the tips ( I will bother with my questions) that you just gave about how to renew the certification and I will be trying them too.

Have you tried to submit your CPR recertification or any hospital CEU for credit? Every time I submit, they reject it. Maybe I’m missing a certain process. Mine is up in 3 1/2 months. Thanks for the info. I love your videos. 😀
Could you please expound on the rationale for the recertification by testing fee for CST and CSFA being so much more expensive than initial certification? Is this to discourage recertification by exam and support recertification by CE's? Where can I find this information? I have been a CST and CSFA in the past but ultimately decided on allowing my certifications to lapse because I became a Registered Nurse and my employer no longer would assist in renewal fees for those certifications. Now I have taken on the position as Department Educator and am passionate about encouraging and assisting my non-certified Surgical Techs to join the AST and move forward and obtain their certifications. So, I was considering forming study groups with them and getting recertified myself in solidarity. Thoughts? Brian Morrison, RN, CNOR
