    Thank you for the demonstration. I have just gotten my Creami and I tried the simple vanilla book recipe that you just did. Now I see why mine never came out to be icecream but rather it came out to be a milk shake instead. I did not do as you did in the steps mixing the cream cheese, sugar and extract like you did. I also think that my microwave is set to high as my cream cheese melted instead of just softened like yours did. My mixture never was the consistency as your first 3 ingredients. Thank you so much! Now I will give this another try and mine should come out as lovely as yours did. Thank you.

    Hello, I just want to say, Thank You for this tutorial. I've only recently bought a creami. I found your video by accident looking for something else, I'm happy I did. I have waited decades for a machine just like this. I can now make various flavours at a time instead of making one batch then having to put the freezing basket back into the freezer over night to make another batch. Watching how to make the mixture was very important for me so I know exactly what I'm doing. The sky's the limit. Weight watchers look out. LOL, no only kidding. Thank you very much. Cheers

    Hi! This looks so good. Getting one as a Christmas gift. My question is how do you do the mint flavor?

    • @ThingsIAppreciate
      @ThingsIAppreciate  8 месяцев назад +2

      Hi! To do the mint, it's really easy! :) Just use peppermint extract instead of vanilla extract. Same amounts. And the green food coloring (just one or two drops) is optional; it doesn't affect the flavor and is pretty. Lemme know how yours turns out! :) ☺

      Hi! I went strictly by the recipe booklet included with the Creami - but don’t worry if you don’t have yours; it’s on their website - they have it as chocolate chip recipe, but it’s vanilla; just leave out the chocolate chips if you want just vanilla. Here’s the link: ninjatestkitchen.com/recipe/vanilla-ice-cream-with-chocolate-chips/ Would love to hear how yours turns/ed out! (It’s 3/4 cup heavy cream, 1 cup whole milk.)

    Thank you for that tutorial!! I've made a couple with just fruit. I bought HWC but I think I should have gotten the bigger one. Can I use more milk that HWC or do I need to drive the 20 miles to the nearest store to get a bigger HWC? TIA :)

    • @ThingsIAppreciate
      @ThingsIAppreciate  2 года назад +1

      You'll need 3/4 cup of HWC for each pint of the ice cream (if going by the recipes provided by Ninja), BUT: it's all customizable. So definitely experiment to your heart's contentment!
      For this demo, I went by the book - literally the book which comes with the machine. But I personally use less sugar and vanilla extract on my _normal_ pints - and way MORE peppermint extract when I'm doing mint ice cream.

    Also isnt it a loud machine? I couldnt hear yours?

    • @ThingsIAppreciate
      @ThingsIAppreciate  Год назад +2

      Hi! Powdery aspect is no biggie; when you encounter it, it’s just because the ingredients were really really frozen, and you just need to do a re-spin and should be good to go. If still not good, one more re-spin normally fixes it. Bon appetit! 😊

  • @kyliebias68

    Our first try tasted very strange. I think it was the cream cheese? It left a coating in our mouth and on our teeth. Has anyone else experienced this? Any ways to trouble shoot it?

    • @ThingsIAppreciate
      @ThingsIAppreciate  2 года назад +1

      I do think the cream cheese is the culprit indeed! You can perhaps try a little less of it or one of the "lite" ice cream recipes.

    • @ThingsIAppreciate
      @ThingsIAppreciate  2 года назад +1

      @@joycebevins6014 It's 3/4 cup heavy cream, 1 cup milk. :) You can adjust those ratios if you like. If you remove most of the fat, you'll probably want to spin it on Lite Ice Cream since it'll freeze harder and would need that setting.

    • @lindaovern645
      @lindaovern645 2 года назад +1

      @@ThingsIAppreciate I had the same question. I need to make my ice creams with sugar substitutes. I thought that is what was the "Lite Ice Cream" setting was. I didn't know it was for the fat content. I used cream in mine so I wonder if I should've used the Ice Cream setting. I'm confused.

    what kind of sugar did you use, that is not the normal sugar cane white sugar

    • @ThingsIAppreciate

      Ooh, good catch! It’s the raw organic sugar from Costco, and FYI, it takes longer for that stuff to dissolve, than regular sugar. So plan for that, if you want to use it. Here’s a link: www.costco.com/kirkland-signature-organic-sugar%2c-10-lbs.product.100334874.html

    I'm debating getting a Ninja Creami, but read that the ice cream doesn't keep it's form after refreezing...how well does it refreeze?
    And is there an appliance to compare it to on the loudness?

    • @ThingsIAppreciate
      @ThingsIAppreciate  2 года назад

      I haven’t had any issues regarding refreezing; it’s just like any other ice cream where I’ve not finished a tub and have put it into the freezer. No need to respin. Appliances re loudness: it’s I’d say about 75% as loud as a Ninja blender. Also, if you pull it away from the wall and have it NOT under a cabinet - aka, have nothing around it for the sound to bounce off and amplify - it’ll be less loud. I normally put my Creami on the island and run it there.
