I’m sitting here watching and eating my mandarin orange sorbet, made with my Ninja Creami. All that’s in this is mandarin orange slices in water…no sugar no cream. It’s fabulous! Next time you make your orange sherbet, throw in som mandarin slices. It will give it an extra kick of orange flavor.
Thanks for the idea! I just gave this a try with all the frozen fruit that's been sitting in my freezer.
Thought no water could be used with anything?
How much water did you use?
I just buy them Mandarin oranges in the can the one that comes in light syrup. Pour it in the container freeze it and then slap it on the machine.
@@songsalon7868if that were the case. You wouldn't even be able to use milk recipes in it. Everything is solid.
Oh my! I have to try the mandarin orange recipe; thanks
I recommend adding 1-2 tsp of vanilla extract. It will make it taste like a creamsicle.
That's sounds great! I will definitely try that!
Thank you for this! I got my kids one for Christmas, and they are obsessed! It’s the coolest machine EVER!!
The layer of foam is bcus you churned your whipping cream. You need to lightly mix with an og whisk.
if you have a deep freezer on the coldest setting you can do 12hrs
Thanks for the great video. My Creami is on the way! And it is pale because it is not full of a bunch of fake coloring and chemicals. :)
Exactly!! Hope you enjoy it!!
My Creami is on a Fed Ex truck out for delivery today! Can't wait!

What kind of whisk is that and where did you get it?

Hi, it is a push whisk and I purchased it from Amazon. 😊
Thank you
Yummy! Will you be posting some grocery hauls too?

@@ReensPlace Thanks! Hopefully they’ll get more in!
I just got my Ninja Creami, and want to try this recepie...I am hard of hearing, so I was wondreing if you could list the ingredients for me? Thanks!
Absolutely! Here you go!
1 cup orange juice
1/4 cup + 1 Tablespoon sugar
1/4 cup whole milk
1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
Hope you enjoy it!! 😊
@@ReensPlace thank you so much...made it, waiting on 24 hours lol
You're very welcome 😊 I really like this one, I hope you do too!
@@ReensPlace I did...and it's so simple to make...it reminded me when growing of something we called "pushups"
Yes! I remember those!
Interesting but as a weight watcher and lactose intollerant i would sub something non soy for the cream.
They have recipes with oat milk or almond milk as well.
Ok interesting its finding a cream replacement. I can see the oat and almond milk.
I followed this recipe to the t, and it turned out weird. It puts a weird coating in my mouth like that of a little Debbie coffee stick. I have made many recipes using this creami, and they’ve all been very good. While making this sherbet, I also made lime sherbet and it’s amazing. I can’t for the life of me figure out what I did wrong. Any ideas?
I used pasteurized orange juice, not from concentrate. Next time I think I’ll use fresh squeezed oranges and add some zest.
Im really not sure. That didn't happen with mine, and I have made it since I made this video with no problems. Please let me know how it turns out with fresh squeezed.
Maybe use a lighter cream. Heavy cream can turn into butter when overmixed.
On the fence about getting it. Does it fit under the cabinets. QVC had different measurements than the Ninja site. Can you tell me how tall it is?
Hi Linda! I got mine from the ninjakitchen.com website. It is 16" tall and could definitely fit under my cabinets. The one from Ninja is 800 watts, but I believe the one on qvc has less watts than that. I am very happy with my purchase. 😊
The one on QVC Is actually 800 watts as well comes with 5 pints and lids to!
Ok made it and it’s in the freezer…hope it’s turns out
How was it?
What is the ninja unit next to the blender? Thank u for sharing
Hi Regina, that's the Ninja Dual Basket Air fryer. Its amazing! I will be putting up a recipe that I will be making in it this week. Thanks for watching !
Do you have to use milk?
I'm pretty sure you could use something like almond milk instead.
@@ReensPlace I have several cans of coconut milk I'm going to try for various recipes.
Thought you were making orange sorbet not ice cream
the heading says Orange Sherbert, not Sorbet.
Can I use rice milk?
I don't see why not
Does that book have alot of different recipes than what came with the unit??
Yes, all kinds if recipes. Different flavor combinations. Recipes for "lite" ice cream too. Definitely worth the purchase.
Mine turned to powder. Not impressed
You need to read your Creami instructions… there is a reasons why it comes out powdery… to correct, you can respin as many times as needed to make it smooth; if you make a hole and add a little more milk and the respin, that usually smooths it out… good luck!
It's a bit confusing... if it's "sorbet" why wouldn't you push the sorbet button? Why push the the ice cream button? I know you're reading out of the book, I just don't understand why they say that.
