    I do frozen bananas, dark cocoa powder and walnuts. Instant chocolate ice cream that is fantastic in my opinion.

    OMG OMG OMG ! I am so glad you got this machine ! It is amazing ! I have had it for a year and I probably spun more than 100 pints ! I hope your subscribers get that machine because it changes lives for us SOS free plant based eaters. I make vanilla ice cream with white potatoes but the sky is the limit on creativity ! The expert is Kathy Hester. Looking forward to see more Creami recipes !!!

      @@darlenepedersen4145 It is a white potato and when it is roasted, you peel off the pink skin and the flesh is creamy and whitish. It is very sweet and give a creaminess without fat.

    Simplified solution that doesn't require the special applience is to use frozen banana and not adding the plant milk and use the regular nutro-bulet. It's comes out great.

      I’ve not used the nutra-bullet for nice cream. Did you add the nuts and dates or just the bananas and other fruit?

    For strawberry, I simply use frozen or fresh chopped strawberries with a little plant milk. Turns out delicious. Just an idea. I’m sure the cashews will make it a little creamier! Chocolate ice cream with the Ninja Creami is my favorite, and I’ll give your recipe a try!

    Yes, nice cream made with bananas is easier....maybe... but to get the same amount of ice cream when you're finished making it, you have to use, and eat, a LOT of bananas with considerably more calories. A quick tally of this recipe's calories for the chocolate came out to about 250 for the whole pint or about 125 for a good sized portion. ONE banana is about 100 calories alone. And if you make the strawberry or blue berry or raspberry, the calorie count drops to waaay low.

    I love the Ninja Creami! Looking forward to trying your recipes. I made the one in the book (that comes with it ) with coconut milk which was good but quite rich. I also like just canned pineapple and juice which tastes like a dole whip.

    Hi Jill, I've been looking for good vegan healthy ice cream & your recipe came up , it looks great. I've just made a vegan mint choc chip ice cream with courgettes & avocado that tastes amazing .       This machine makes scoopable ice cream and you can re-spin it if you don’t finish it. I have had mine for a year and I use it at least three times a week. I also make ice cream sandwiches with chocolate-tahini cookies.

    I do frozen bananas, carob powder, or some other frozen fruit. Either blend with unsweetened soy milk or use the S blade in the processor. Or just the banana with nuts. ❤ Mmm

      Me too. Frozen banana, frozen berries, a little bit of Stevia and unsweetened soy milk is perfect for my husband and me, and when we want chocolate we throw in cocoa powder with vanilla extract.

    Yummmm I hope my old fashioned Cusinart ice cream maker can make this taste light and fluffy. I will try this recipe as alL those weird gums and stabilizers in store bought make me cringe. Wondering if it tastes like bananas which I don’t like…. And soy milk..which I don’t like… knowing me I will switch it out… thank you for this share!

    I came up with my own strawberry ice cream recipe. I used walnuts, but I also used some golden raisins because I had them on hand. I realize they're not the most desirable but I soaked the golden raisins and use that liquid and also I added a little lemon juice and it came out absolutely fantastic I've got more in the freezer now! Also I added amla powder to make it extra healthy.

    Be sure to use organic strawberries. Conventional strawberries are highly pesticized, as evidenced by test results from the environmental working group's list of the dirty dozen and the clean 15.

      No way we know of to do this manually. There is something about what this machine does by spinning and scraping the hard frozen ice cream that turns it into this insanely creamy texture.

    If you don't have the appliance, can you let the ice cream thaw a little bit and then stir it up yourself? You know, while you wait for the appliance to arrive?!

    Any one else remember those old home ice cream makers where you put the cream in the middle and then ice (and salt ?) around the outside and spun a huge crank handle to spin the cream around. I was so young my job was just to sit on the top of it so it wouldn't rise up as my dad spun the handle.

    I would love to buy the Ninja Creami bit will need to wait until after I move and have a new address to send it to. Hoping to be at y new address before my birthday next month. Also interested in the cook books that will also need to wait. Just wondering what kind of blender you have and where you got it. Have never seen anything like that in any stores around here. My last blender started smoking so have been on the lookout for one that will last a bit longer and works well. I currently have a food processor and a NutriBullet. Know of a way to make homemade nut butters? Anything I have isn't strong enough or requires added liquid to run properly. Thank you for the recipes that I plan on using once I get moved and order and receive the Ninja Creami once ordered.

      I have a Blendtec Professional 800 blender that we bought specifically for the power that is equal to the Vitamix but also has the silent case ( these powerful blenders are extremely loud ) It has a special container for making nut butters that works great!

      Yes, any plant milk will work.

      Yes the recipe is still delicious if you just freeze it but it doesn't have the super creamy texture the machine creates. It really is like some kind of magic.

    I feel bad for the people who have nut allergies as they can't really embrace vegan ice cream......and most likely have to go the sorbet route.....or simply eat the non-vegan ice cream.........I suppose there might be a recipe for vegan ice cream that doesn't involve nuts but....I don't know, perhaps coconut oil?.....as I'm not sure if nut allergies encompass coconuts as well....

Thanx for the suggestion.....although I'm not allergic to nuts, I've known some people and it seems to be more of a legume allergy than what is coined as a "nut" allergy......I think the one person I knew couldn't eat peas either along with peanuts, walnuts and almonds.....so I guess sun flower seeds are the ticket! Thanx again and I enjoy your vids very much!
