I have had this headset for 2 years now and can say I recommend them fully! the only con is that the wires wont last long for me and I often find myself buying replacements so I'm going wireless

Yes, it should. Because it has an AUX Cable.
Steelseries S1 drivers on my arctis 3 are perfect for hearing all the small details in the games but they lack warmth and bass and can feel a bit too high on the treble. I'm using the Razer Kraken TE atm but the steelseries ski band is super comfortable
I used the kraken TE, the cable broke in under a week for just moving my head. Got a refund, bought the arctis 5 for cheaper. Definitely more comfortable, sound wasn't like the kraken but its not bad. The thing I liked was that the cable could be replaced, yet my cable is still intact for the past 2 months.
@@xulse nice. That's one concern for me. The wire is non replaceable so if it breaks it breaks and I will probably not got a replacement cause of wear and tear even if it's under warranty. But I only use them with my xbox so hopefully the last a long time
In terms of sound, which do you prefer ? Kraken Tournament Edition or Steelseries 5 ? Seriously i really confuse which one i will buy between them.
@@arthurmorgan1323 steelseries arctis 5 is much better if u want it for pc u can tune all the sounds and eq and so much more with it , like i love bass on my musics so i made a profile in the steelseries engine just for listening musics and i tune the eq for best and heaviest bass , but if u want it for console the razer TE and arctis 3 are good options
For the 5s u can use the software to mange sound and rgb

you didn't plug them in right bud. your not supposed to plug them in like that.
Mine does not fit well at all. When I wear it the earcups leave a big gap so that means I can hear my background noises really loud

Are they noise cancelling? Not the mic, the ear cushions, my house is noisy and I don't wanna hear screams or movies at full volume

I have the steelseries arctis 5 and it is amazing but im trying to figure out how to change the lights on my headphones on the steelseries engine because sometimes it makes them change unsynchronized and then sometimes they are synchronized.
thats a problem even with logitech, my logitech g pro x keyboard suddenly does its own light even when i changed it so whenever i open a certain game...
I've had the steel series siberia v3 for like 5 years now and they are great but are starting to break. Are these worth it or should I buy something like the HyperX Cloud II or something else?
As a consumer of both the Cloud ll and the These headphones I would recommend the steel series ones
as a customer of the clout 2s i would rather have the steelseries, the clout 2s broke in a year

There isn't a USB port on any of the Xbox controllers unfortunately, you can still use the audio the audio is great but, if you want RGB you have to plug the USB port into another device or battery bank etc.

Depends on what you can afford, pros are going to be better in pretty much every way but they are also significantly more expensive.

@@Eric-sx3qm this all day. Owned the gpro and returned. Clamping pressure in INSANELY tight. Also super flag audio. Even with various EQ customizations i just felt unimpressed

@@kaikaih5771 I did some further research and arctis 3s are pretty decent for console. I'm not a console guy I play on pc, so I don't really know what to tell you. Arctis 3 is pretty good tho, check it out.
Is the surround sound good for call of duty? Can you here the foot steps (ps4)
How do these compare to HyperX Cloud Alpha S?
Cloud Alpha are much better. 53mm membrane with two separatet chambers, around 60Ohm resistance makes very good job. But for me microphone is not comfortable

the cloud mix is a good headset but honestly only buy it for Bluetooth because the ear cups are really small so for gaming its not ideal
Ive had the Cloud II's for a few years now. They have been durable which is great but the top inner part has completely eroded and they are also just not the most comfortable to wear for long periods.
Whats the difference between 2019 and normal version? Which one will be the best in terms of quality?
The "normal" version was released in 2015 or 2016 I'm pretty sure, the 2019 version has dtx 2.0 surround sound (whatever it is) and a tiny change to the cable length and ear cushion things
I've had Razer Kraken 7.1 V2's for a few years now. I'm thinking about buying one of these, is It worth it?

I bought a razer kraken pro V2 in 2017 and I still use it daily. The only problem with mine is that the leather from the ear cups are wearing out. The sound is still fine but I noticed left side is just a tiny bit louder than my right now. It’s been almost 4 years so I’m thinking of getting a new headset. I am also looking at the steelseries.

if you want to enable it you need to go on pc then download steelseries engine then do it from there.After you have dont this it saves to the actual headset so then you can plug into your ps4 then -tada- done.

I wouldn't say so because on pc you have to download a driver but it will be on a constant rgb loop on ps
I'm not sure but apparently the equalisation options carry over if you configure it on a pc, so the rgb settings might transfer

they certainly look good, but i'm also looking at the razer blackshark v2 and am not sure which one is better.

@@rayyanmakda2860 just so you know, I’ve decided to go after the v2 x. I am on a budget and don’t want to be spending too much money on headphones but my current ones are unbearable uncomfortable. The reason I’m going for the x over the originals is because as a non audiophile I don’t think I’d ever use the sound card as I don’t know what kind of sound I like, and as such I think paying an extra £40 for that card is a bit much. So I’m going to try out the x variant and see what it sounds like. I don’t know much about sound but if it is better than my current pair I’ll keep them.

RGB, DTS, and I think a few more features won't work on PS5 because those utilize software from a pc
nah, i bought one today for my ps4 (works just like the ps5). RGB, DTS, etc. doesnt work... however, if you plug the USB directly in the ps4... only the RGB will work. so, nah man don't buy it if ur gonna use it on a console

Arctis 5 doesn’t have a wireless option, you most likely saw the arctis 3s or 7s, the designs for them are pretty much identical to the arctis 5s.

Yes‼️ I bought one with my Xbox series s yesterday. I thought it wasn’t working and saw it said just pc on the bottom right corner of the box but I eventually got it to work thank got. But the lightning feature doesn’t work for it just for pc and maybe for other consoles too but not Xbox. Oh well doesn’t bother me, I am used to it and personally I say hands 🙌 down it has the best sound and I purchased the $13 originally $20 dts x from the store that we have to to get it to work I believe how I got it to work when I activated the 1 or 2 week trial for it but just when ahead and got it. It’s $108 after tax for the headset but to use it for the best hearing option for it we have to pay for the extra for it. So around $120 for it all. I got mic from GameStop. Last mic I payed the most for was around $130 for a turtle beach headset and I should of paid half price for them and less than the steel series arctis. GameStop seller said he had his around 2 years and still no problems, that’s why I got it. He also agreed to me that he don’t think turtle beach aren’t really good like on speaker eventually goes out. Good luck 🍀👍🏼 on your headset bro. I remember back in the day the ps3 controllers still out lasts any ps controller and charge till this day. When the ps4 controllers came out they were good not going to lie. Now Sony’s controllers are starting to slack focusing on maximizing the technology out on them and not putting good quality in them anymore. That why I am sticking with Xbox and I don’t care what my older sisters husbands says about Xbox. I literally had the same Xbox 1 controller pretty much the whole 6-7 year life span before the drift starting to happen. I recently bout a blue Microsoft controller less than a year ago and still like brand new. The new controller for my new Xbox , is just gunna sit right in it’s wrapping in it’s original box until I upgrade again it the future. If they give me a used $10 price instead of a mark down new price then I might as well keep the damn controller 🎮LOL🤣‼️
Will the steelseries arctis 5 connect to an Xbox series s?
Yes, it uses the same port like a phone (3.5mm specifically) . But some features won't work.
@@davidponce6479 The lightning feature does not work for the series s Xbox I just tried but it works for pc or other consoles probably. Though the sound sounds the best the led lighting feature doesn’t really bother me it’s not like we look at the headset change colors on the way we play the game.
How do these compare to the pulse 3d headset for the ps5?
i had the pulse 3d and jus sold em and bought these. the sound is good in the pulse 3d but mic is ass. friends could barely hear me so bought these
