Phone etiquette matters! Thanks for these tips on how to answer the phone at work. I used to be so nervous answering the phone, but now that I have practice I don't even think twice about it!
Sounds like you're totally setting yourself up for success! I love your greeting. It is clear, polite, and positive. That's the best way to do it. Cheers!
Adriana! This is such a great topic because no one really addresses this very much and sometimes it is intimidating and sometimes people sound downright bored or annoyed if they aren't aware!
It's so true - and you definitely don't want to be representing your company as someone bored or annoyed! This is one of those things that seems so small but many people struggle with. Thanks for watching, Heather - cheers!
Thanks for your tips. I would like to know more about vocabulary and good manners when on the phone at work. As an English language learner, I need to learn which are the most recommended polite words to use in this situation.

Its the worst when someone eats on the phone. I had a boss who would eat on the phone, while also riding the city bus! I was like , "Huh?! What I cannot hear you!" LOL! Great tips!
LOL those two things are a great example of what NOT to do when you're on the phone! Thanks so much for sharing your experience and I'm glad you have better phone etiquette than your boss. Cheers!

Good morning/good afternoon, thank you for calling Capital Tractor, said with a smile, no matter my mood 🎉 😁 I’m the primary phone answerer, they don’t want my name, just to get to the correct department. And it gets mighty long. I’m curious to know your thoughts on the no name thing?
It really depends on how the company would like the phone answered, however that being said it is nice to know the name of the person answering the phone incase the caller comes back to you after an unanswered transfer. It just makes it a little more personal. Thanks for watching, cheers!
